Scelesti? That could be an explanation for all those Abyssal intrusions lately. Corn thought with dread.

He looked at Phoenyx when she offered to team up with the Trinity. He had a slightly different idea; Belle didn't get the title of Herald but that didn't mean she couldn't act as one. Perhaps that would put a shoe in for her in the future.
Turning to the Neokoros he said "Abyss lovers are no friends of any of us. Maya, would you be willing to coordinate our actions with the Sancta Trinitas? Act as a correspondent between them and the Consillium, bringing to us any information they are willing to share, if the Sancta Trinitas cabal agrees of course. " Having beaten up one of them was not the best place to start but he could be optimistic.

Realizing he hasn't introduced himself, he goes on "I am Corn, Mystagogue."

Then the question of what was taken was brought up. "Maya, I think they refer to the dedicated tool we got from Nursiae. Do you have it? It is the least we can do to return it." And we have his hair anyway.
If it was not that, they would be disappointed. If they wanted dibs on an artifact of that power, they should have joined the consillium.

"There is little concrete information to go off on. We were planning to stay on the look-out and lay low for a while." Phoenyx' no-nonsense energy appeared to be a natural fit to Euphemia's. Although she offered her insights with some remaining hesitation she did offer some. "There was at least one case of a young man who was under Abyssal influence while in the hospital and had to be taken care of." Her voice was calm, and anyone listening could feel a strong conviction in her words - even though she was right: this wasn't much information at all.

The woman studied Belle's face when Corn offered to appoint her as contact between the groups. "We usually work best alone. But you can leave us a way to contact you, if you want." Obviously trying to keep this a one-way street for now.

"Yes, I was talking about my tool." Nursiae took Corn's opportunity to get out of this conversation through gritted teeth. Apparently cooperating with the guy who cast him in stone was preferable to openly talking about the Artifact.
Belle's attempt at deescalating the situation, however, only made the young man more angry. "No! I'm sorry Nursiae, but this has to stop." He shot the opposing group a glance and turned towards Euphemia. "I am sorry that we have been keeping a secret from you, but the reason Nursiae got jumped by them was because he was looking for an Artifact." "Enough!"
Nursiae cut through his Cabal-mate's truth-bomb with a sharp bellow, barely kept low enough to not have any sleeping neighbours be alarmed. Probably.
So things got heated - the good thing was that Corn, Belle, and Phoenyx weren't really in the crossfire right now.

Belle doesn't much like Euphemia's phrasing when she mentions the young man being 'taken care of'. "And how did he turn out?" She crosses her arms here. Euphemia doesn't strike her as a ruthless type, but she wants to know what this Cabal is capable of and she doesn't have much love for Magi playing with the lives of others.

And then the explosion. Belle freezes for a fraction of a second but quickly realizes that this is an internal dispute. We can button this up without having to say too much. "Tell you what..." She pulls out her phone, careful to make her motions slow and deliberate to avoid attracting suspicion. "...Nursiae, let's exchange numbers and I can get your tool back." Should've known that coin was too important. "We can arrange a neutral meet and bury that hatchet." She looks over to Corn and Phoenyx, more for forgiveness than permission. "And then, if we need each other's help in the future, we have a dedicated contact." She looks back to Euphemia. "I'm sure you'll want time to catch up with your Cabalmates." Friendly code for:

Since Phoenyx has announced an absence, it's safe for Corn to go next.

Corn let a low hiss of annoyance. So, they did know about the artifact. Well, Euphemia apparently just learned of the artifact. Whether Nursiae and they are not getting it. Whether Hipponensis and Nursiae planned to tell Euphemia about it later or not and the implications of two cabalmates not sharing info of their doings with the third... well, their cabal their problem.
He nodded when Belle mentioned meeting in neutral ground.

After all, it was better to deal with these apostates than let Nephandi run loose.
"We have a common enemy against the Scelesti. When it is a good time for you to meet us in neutral ground, you can contact us. " He looked to the other two Pentacle mages.
It was a good time to leave these religious wackos to their own problems and not agitate them more. And better cut discussions about artifacts.

Euphemia looked Belle straight in the eyes. "He succumbed to his injuries." Which neither fully confirmed nor denied the Warlock's worries.

It was probably smart of the Mystagogues to stay out of whatever was going on between those Cabal-mates. The young man finally backed down after Nursiae's bark and stared daggers alternatingly between him and Corn. But he did drop the subject, and just as Nursiae wanted to reply to Belle's offer Euphemia snapped out of her confusion and took the lead again. "I think for now it will suffice if you gave us your number and we'll contact you as we see fit." Although she seemed the most level-headed of the three there was a noticeable strain of frustration and embarrassment in her voice.
"Is there anything else?" Clearly addressing Belle, Corn, and Phoenyx only.

Euphemia's snappy response prompts a bit of a sharp eyebrow raise from Belle, but she quickly returns to her friendly but firm expression. "Sure thing." She pulls out her phone and approaches the Sancta Trinitas, silently showing Euphemia her contact information before returning the phone to her bag. "And hey; I'm glad we came to an understanding. No hard feelings." She offers a hand to Euphemia and Nursiae, but just gives a nod to Hipponensis. She gets the feeling the Magi isn't in the mood for a handshake.

Returning to her group she gives Phoenyx a covert wink as if to say 'we did good!'. Then turns around and gives a more overt smile to Corn, one of relief. They'd all learned to have cooler heads from this.

Well, Corn and Belle had. Phoenyx was just there as backup.

With Corn and Phoenyx disengaging from the conversation it was left to Belle to finish this off. Herald or no, she probably didn't do too badly. Her number was being noted and hands were shaken. Whatever else there was to the Cabal, the three members of the Consilium thought it was better to let them deal with it on their own.

So what did this night bring? A rumor - or the inkling of a lead - about Scelesti activity. A buried hatchet, even if it was done begrudgingly so. The joy of knowing that the Mysterium's secret was still a secret.
And of course: the knowledge that this guy wasn't a Banisher on the loose.
