Lost but Not Forgotten

Liam steps back as Circe adorns the gravesite with its makeshift marker and Sonnie adds her own unique touch. It actually makes Liam kind of emotional, knowing that Sonnie might just as easily have kept the phone as a souvenir or thrown it away. Instead, that broken cellphone would remain as a last memento of the Lost who once used it in life. "I like it. And I think Carlos would've appreciated it too." The junkyard aesthetic seems to fit the Metalflesh whose life they were honoring.

"We should probably come up with a name for this place sometime." The Giant ponders on what to call an underground graveyard marked with discarded flotsam and debris. Maybe Sera and Rhodes would know something suitably reverent yet spooky to name it? "Thanks again, both of you." Liam smiles warmly at his two friends. "You know what? I'm thinking tonight calls for some celebration for the life we have here. Drinks on me?" ​He spreads his arms wide, hoping to cheer up his fellow Lost in light of the heavy subject they've tackled today.

"How about... The Tombs? Sounds spooky, yeah?" The chipper Beast smiled as she turned to depart. "I'm gonna get gyros. You guys want gyros?"

"Gravel's Rest? Rocky Respite. Granite Grave." Were her own blasι suggestions for names. As for the offer of food and drink, "I'm happy to hold out fer a gyro whilst we get drinks Sonja. Sounds like a plan." She pumps her fist in the air, "Let's go!"

Liam rubs his hands together, his own stomach grumbling from the day's work. "Gyros it is! Let's go!"

And so the three Lost being the trek up to the surface, leaving the ashes of Carlos preserved against time and weather. However this man had lived, his burial spot would remain a testament to the harsh realities of the lives of the Lost, as well as the compassion and courage that preserves and honors those lives.

Only time will tell if this graveyard will endure...or grow.
