Puck listened as the brat prattled on. He was preparing his response when the Moros stomped off. At this point? Puck was just glad to see Corn leave.

"So minor penance for three months?" The agreement was on guilt, but that was the disposition and not the actual sentence. "All in agreement?"

They could have had this sorted and moved on to less intensive debate had they not been interrupted. Moreover, they didn't even get the full sentencing into effect for the public to see. It was another failed trial, but not one Puck had any responsibility for. He tried to move things along and get Phoenyx's situation sorted in both a clear and judicious way. He even gave Corn plenty of off ramps to ride out of his embarrassing display on to save face.

That failed, and Puck knew exactly who he blamed for it.
