A rapid calculation showed that were only two councilors who formally stood with the right to vote. Aurora's and the other's succession hadn't occurred yet, in spirit of the past.
Would Crystal vote in favour of such punishment?

Moira for her part was doing everything she could it seemed to keep the newest Guardian pre-occupied. She stepped up her smile, to Rails when he asks if she's new too. "I am! Up from Los Angeles. I was just finishing school and eventually what made me make the jump to here was a very timely job offer. So I headed here!" Sure there was more to it than that, but she didn't owe Rails the same explanation she had Puck, so she stuck to the surface streets. She caught the look Winter was giving Rails. Like he was looking for him, and her gaze began the tennis match between the two. Watching. Calculating. "You know Winter huh?" It wasn't exactly a question, and the way she smiled at him expectantly meant she was perfectly happy to grill him socially. There was just a hint of that Unseelie light in her eyes.

Apollo was looking serious. At first he was wondering if there was something he needed to worry about and now he looked more serious. Maybe he liked politics. It was possible. Moira had had enough of that shit to last a lifetime. It bored her to death, and honestly, this was a smaller breach of the Lex. Maybe she was wrong though? Her gaze moved from Apollo to the councilors talking. She nodded a bit. "Think its going that way, alright." And it did.

Moira's gaze soon returned to Winter , wondering what he was thinking. For a moment she wished she could read minds, and then chastised herself for thinking such a thing. How dreadful! Who wants to actually know that? EEEEEK. Then Winter spoke his mind, and she watched him closely then. All of young Acanthi's attention focused on him. The wheels were turning to the past. If a Gov like Winter had been there, things wouldn't have gone down the way it did in LA. She was sure of that in this exact moment.

When it was announced that Eulogy had left, she didn't know him so she couldn't have any reaction really, until she heard his path and then she looked to Corn and gave him one of those wicked little smiles. You totally called that shit! HAHAHAH FATE BITCHES!! Now it looked like Corn would be a councilor! Oh yeah, she got a kick outta that one.

"Cool..." Rails replies when Moira gives her run down. But it's clear his attention is elsewhere. Namely, the total fucking shit-storm that's just exploded into the open.

What Rails is doing now is memorizing the details and the arguments being made. For later review. And appropriate action. When the time is right, of course.

To the Warlock, the distinction that some folks are trying to make between the 'spirit' and the 'letter' of the Lex doesn't amount to fuck-all. The law is the law. And whether anyone notices a vulgar use of magic or not, the abyss widens. That's enough for him.

Still, he does not speak. Nods in the affirmative when Moira asks after his acquaintance with Winter . Indeed, he's caught the other Guardian's look. "Excuse me, once sec..." With that, he slowly moves to stand, silent, behind the Obrimos. Keen eyes watching the reactions to Winter's entirely justified words. Corn especially gets a long look.

[Apollo]

Apollo watched as the scene unfolded. The meeting started and their prior conversation just seemed to run into it. At first he didn't quite understand what was going on. However, slowly and surely the penny dropped and he managed to put the pieces together to figure out what was happening.

In his mind Pheonyx had broken the precept of secrecy, she had cast Vulgar magic in front of sleepers. What made it worse was that not only was she a councillor but she also failed to acknowledge it herself. Was she trying to sweep it under the rug to avoid punishment. Pucks suggestion for her punishment was more than fair, in his opinion Pheonyx was getting off lightly.

Apollo didn't think this meeting could get any worse, and then Corn started speaking. It got worse. Puck then revealed the bombshell about practicing eugenics on an unborn child using life. What the bibbity bobbity bullshit is this? Eugenics and on an unborn child! Apollo frowned at Corn. Not only was he digging a hole for himself with... well stupidity and some form of radicalised thought process that was in Apollos opinion dangerous. He was talking about practicing Eugenics, next minute he would find out Corn was trying to create the Master Race. Unfortunately for Corn the thought of life magic being used to do this on an unborn child was deeply and morally offensive to Apollo. Even the mention of it made his skin crawl.

Then the shit really hit the fan. Jesus, this guy needs to know when to stop talking.

After his pathetic performance, corn silently moved back to his seat and slumped down.

As Belle takes a seat to watch the proceedings, she's immersed in the Councilors words. Enough so that she actually starts tuning out the whispers and comments around her and almost blends in with the seating area. Perhaps a handy side-effect of Occultation?

She frowns in disappointment at the dissolution of Crystal's Cabal and Guru's departure. She wasn't as familiar with Eulogy, but the name strikes a bell. Damn! Crystal's got a lot on his plate. No wonder he's so cagey with it all. But Corn as Moros Councilor puts a warm grin on her face. She's really gotten to like Corn over the months, and she sees his ascension as a good thing. And gives the Mysterium a good influence politically. Power to the bookworms.

Then she registers talk of Veil breaches, and the Warlock's expression twists to silent surprise, then anger as Puck disrespects her Councilor and proceeds to accuse Phoenyx of not just disregard for Magi law, but incompetence. Belle's eyes are silver-blue daggers as she twists the ring on her finger.

Accusations fly. Her friends try to take the high road; others continue to press. And the silent Warlock twists the ring and simmers in azure rage.

Threats of Duel Arcanum are thrown in. And the Warlock moves her hands to the chair. Gripping until her knuckles go white. She bites her tongue and tastes blood. Her vision is both tunnel and broad. Taking in so much but focusing on so little. She's seeing white...

And then Corn steps down. Belle holds her seat, unaware yet subconsciously grateful that the perception filter around her form hides the trembling, and the blood pooling behind her firmly clenched lips under pearly teeth. She hates this part of Magi politics: when you have the power to back up a god complex, it becomes so much easier to partake.

One thing's for sure though: she's leaving the first chance she gets. Before she says something regretful.

It was an eventful day at the Circle. Lots of things were said, some things were left unsaid and judgement was passed among the Wise.
