To say her dreams had been weird lately would be an understatement.

Numerous nights she would find herself doing her usual, searching the Skein for signs of the Huntsman, looking for those in need. And numerous times she would feel herself pulled into another dream.

Feel herself falling for what felt like forever, only to find herself splashing into a vast ocean.

And each time, she would wake up, startled, feeling both unease and comfort. The dream never moved beyond her falling into the water, and she couldn’t trigger the dream on her own. While she debated asking Rhodes about it, see if he had any insight, she decided to see if it played out.
One night it did.

As soon as she fell into the water, things faded out until she found herself laying on wet sand of a beach. It was no place she had ever been, but it felt like home.

And the scaled covered fin that now encased her legs? Well, it felt natural. Like it had always been there, always been a part of her. Sitting up, she reaches out to touch the dark gray fin, feeling the slick scales and how they effortlessly blended into the skin on her stomach. She could feel it, the fin was a part of her. Looking down at herself, she was bare save for gray, shimmering scales running up her stomach and chest.

When the waves would roll onto the beach and over her, she found herself pulled back into the ocean. Wanting to feel embraced by the water, like a safe, reassuring hug. This was natural, she could swim and dart around the depth of the seas. It was like dancing on air, there was nothing to restrict her, nothing to hold her back. It was freeing.

Not wanting to leave, she continued to swim, exploring the depths. But everything has to come to an end, and she felt herself being pulled back to her slumbering body. No matter how hard she fought it, waking up was going to happen.

With a shudder, and a sigh, she felt her eyes flutter open. Wrapped within the bed-sheets, not the warmth of the sea. But as she sat up, something felt different. It was hard to explain, but her body felt like it had gone through something. A change of some sort.

Looking under the sheets, her transparent legs were still there, no fin. Her body still had the golden and silver scales, no grey. Shaking her head, something around her ears felt different. Maybe she slept on one wrong? A hand reaches up to touch her ear, but it wasn’t her regular ear. With shaking hands, she runs to the vanity, eyes widening at the sight.

The change was very noticeable, well, between her hair and ears anyways.

Her ears, or well, what she thought was her ears were…different. There was now an iridescent scale like skin that pulled delicately up from her ears. The membrane shimmered and created three curly points. Her hand gently touches them, feeling that yes, they were attached. As she turned her head, she realized how beautiful they were! And wait, what the hell was that?! Behind her ears, on both sides, were… gills? She wasn’t sure, by they were small slits that traced up behind her ears.

The hair? Well, that was just the icing on the cake so to speak. Worked into her gold and silver hair was now a deep-sea green.

Was this what her dream had been telling her? She felt more connected to the Wyrd then she had in years. Was this the Nix part of her coming out to show? The dreams, the pull to water?

The Wyrd was stronger in her. She could feel it surging though her body.
