As they drive, Milton can see just how bad things are. Only half of the machines they drive passed are manned and running, and he only sees another handful of people in any open break areas.

Natalie cocks her head slightly as if in thought. "There haven't been any major projects lately; some updates to machines here and there, but that's about it." Milton can see that Natalie is caught slightly off guard by his second question. "Turnover is quite low normally, we're not running at full capacity at the moment to save some money on payroll so I'm sure it looks differently. Employee polls have shown general satisfaction with their employment, though that's not to say there aren't outliers to the data." She finishes speaking, completely ignoring the third part of Milton's question.

I'm so sorry for the delay, it's been a hectic month. Things are slowing down here, so hopefully we can move this along a little faster now.

Milton resists the urge to raise an eyebrow at his host's response. Those bland, brown eyes search her face for a moment. Looking for tells, to see through any dissimulation.

"I'm sorry if my line of questioning seems odd." A suitably apologetic smile. "It's just that, as you know, human capital is so important to your industry. The people I represent are keen to ascertain the...health of your work force, which they view as of equal value with your facilities." His look says You know how they can be.

"I am happy to hear of the positive feedback, though I would be remiss not to ask: what, exactly, is the content of the outliers you're seeing in the data?" Sure, he's pressing her. But that's due diligence, right?

Natalie seems to be telling the truth in everything she's said so far. What Milton notices however is that she was attempting to lie by omission concerning any issues with the employees. However, Milton directly asking about the outliers in her data cause her to sigh audibly, as if defeated.

"There was one employee that we had to let go about a month ago. Mark Jacobs. He started getting into fights with most of his coworkers. Nearly came to blows with one of them. That's when we had to let him go. Ot was unfortunate for him too, he'd just come back from sick leave, the difference was night and day."

A violent employee let go about a month ago for assaulting co-workers after a mysterious illness? Well, that is interesting. Milton memorizes the name of Mark Jacobs with ease, keeping it in mind for follow up later. He's no expert on the occult, but he's seen enough to have suspicions. Perhaps Mr. Jacobs has been afflicted by something beyond a merely physical ailment. Not that he'd know what that affliction could be (past vampirism, that is).

One way or another, it's the only lead he's uncovered thus far. From all appearances, that's about as much as he will get. Everything else he's seen thus far is in order. Perfectly mundane.

He offers his host a sympathetic smile, "Well, you cannot predict who among a population might prove...unbalanced. Still," he continues, flattening his hands before him as if wiping a slate clean, "by and large the news appears to be good in regard to your work force. And the facilities," he glances around again, "are quite impressive. I think I'm ready to make a report to my clients."

He's gotten what he came for: a direction for further investigation. Time to make his exit.

"Unless there's anything further you'd like to discuss, I think we're good to wrap up our tour."

"Of course, Mr. Northbridge. I wouldn't want to keep you any longer than you need." The woman leans up do Adam can hear her. "Back to the office if you would, Adam."

With the name of the potential suspect now firmly ingrained in Milton's mined, the ride back to the office is relatively uneventful, other than Natalie pointing out which machines are being retooled for new parts when they return to full production, as if to solidify the fact that they have plans. Upon arriving at the office, Milton will be relieved of his safety equipment and escorted back out to his car. "Have a wonderful night, Mr. Northbridge, I can't wait to hear from your clients." With that, Milton is let out of the gate to go on his way.

I had something much longer and better, but I lost it. I figured a short post is better than no post. Please think of someone Milton may call in to replace Wei Lin, and you can discuss it with your fellow investigators once i get the next thread up.
