(2110) Consilium

[Aurora]

Spotting the stoic Winter, she offers a smile and small wave, “Hi Winter, how’ve you been? Seems like it’s been years since we’ve talked, hope you’ve been well.” She liked the guy. He could be intimidating, but she saw a good guy beneath that.

A nod to Belle, “Hi Belle.” And then she asks Corn about married life. Did she care? Eh, not really.

But then Crystal walked in, and damn! His captivating looks heightened by a very striking suit. Smirking, “That suit is amazing!” she gushed. And it was. Where did he find those suits?

Kaze would always steal the show when he entered. Even dressed relatively casually, it was hard to miss the healthy glow he had. “Hey Kaze!” a wave.

While Eulogy always seemed the quiet, reserved type, she was surprised that he set himself off to the side. So she offers him a smile, respecting his decision to be distant. Whatever.

Smiling to Corn, “Thank you!” but then he started talking about married life and she sort of tuned it out. She was happy for the guy, but she didn’t care to hear about it.

A wider smile to Phoenyx, “Of course you can! Want the name of my tailor? Get yourself a red suit?” she didn’t care if her friend got a red suit.

[Guru]

This was a day Guru would like nothing more than to run away from. Responsibility that came with nothing but trouble but someone had to do it and it was his turn he guessed. His stomach twisted and turned and bile rose in his throat, yea this was going to great. He'd been to busy to come around otherwise now, surprise. At least he has food to soften the blow, he couldn't even think about eating. The rumble of his stomach agreed and he collected himself before joining his fellow magi.


He was dressed formally for the occasion just leaving the jacket hung up for now. He was carrying in a brown paper bag that seemed to be full which he unfolded and set out for everyone. "Fresh baked croissants, about two dozen here figure that was enough for everyone." He saw Eulogy who always had a way to make him feel underdressed and yet somehow Crystal looked like he'd come straight from the MET Gala. Nope. He was definitely under dressed now. A small wave to Belle as he heard Corn talk about married life before Guru saw him. He smirked slightly, a quick shake, before giving a nod to him and then a stiff downward one to Winter and Phoenyx.


"Sup Buddy." He tossed casually while he made his way over to join Aurora, his eyes a bit wide, anxious. Though it seemed the suit was a custom number, his had been taken in but damn. At least he had put some effort forth. "I envy your seat right now."

[Winter]

Beware of those bearing food to Consilium. So far, it had been a hint with a rather solid predictive power.
And although correlation didn't imply causation, one could never be too sure.

[Belle]

Belle couldn't help but get warm feelings in her gut as Corn gushed about how he was getting into cooking and mundane shit. Awwww! He's still in love. "I think the real test of a relationship is how you handle the mundane together, not just the spectacular. Sounds like you're gonna be alright." She gives the Necromancer a thumbs up.

Crystal motions her away just as she was about to greet Kaze. She gives her new roomie a wave, while also noting Winter's stoicism. Guy's quiet, but if he and Crystal can get along he must be alright. She looks a little worried at her fellow Warlock, speaking a little softer. "Something wrong?" As Crystal clarifies his purpose, Belle returns to her old cheerful self. "Well, I was hoping we'd arm wrestle for it, but I'm not going to hold you back." She pats the Warlock on his gilded shoulder. ​"Hey, in all seriousness, congratulations. You've got the experience here; I'll follow your lead as long as you don't go too far off the deep end. But let's hope it never gets that far." She snaps her teeth together in a playful bite with just a bit of hellish fire in her expression.

More familiar faces enter. Belle returns Aurora's greeting, finally getting a chance to notice the somber Eulogy as he takes his seat. The man's demeanor screamed 'Necromancer'. Here's hoping we have a roll-call. Guru bringing snacks is a welcome surprise. She gives Crystal one last supportive smile, then moves over to the Shaman bearing gifts. "That is so sweet, Guru. Thanks!" She'll take one croissant and take a quick bite, but she won't scarf it all down just yet. She was pretty sure there was at least one more Counsilor to arrive...

[Crystal]

The various compliments were accepted with grace and humility and Corn was given a thumbs-up for his happy life. Seemed like the mood in the Circle was particularly good today - that were some favourable requirements!

Belle was fortunately also as relaxed and open as he came to know her, which was also good. Plus, she always had a joke ready. Sure, they weren't always pure comedy gold but it beat most of the other character traits people appropriated for themselves. "Thanks, I appreciate that. And don't worry - I'm not here to stroke my ego or go on a power trip, so of course I'll do this to represent our path." And that was that. He went back with her to the rest of the group.

Guru was greeted with a sympathetic smile and a nod. Crystal could vividly imagine how the Shaman must feel right now. But hey, at least he brought some baked goods again, so he wasn't totally out of his mind. He didn't take any of the croissants - the less they seemed like they were conspiring before making their announcement, the better - and went to take a seat next to Kaze. Yes, also a member of the Cabal-to-be, but people would have to be blind or stupid if they had missed the close connection between the Obrimos and the Mastigos until now. "'Sup? FYI, I'm kinda sweating bullets over here."

[Puck]

An Acanthus is neither late nor early.

At least that's what Puck used to tell himself. He broke the trend for a while there but it's back to skirting in at the last minute. At least the doors hadn't locked yet.

"Sup y'all."

The Libertine is dressed about as formally as he ever would be.

[Kaze]

"Absolutely, Corn!" Kaze replies enthusiastically to Corn's invite for coffee some time! "Call me!" He says totally unselfconsciously as if completely unaware of the cliche'd Los Angeles actor speak!

He grins and waves back to Aurora!

"Cool, thanks Dude!" Kaze says to Guru at his baked goods!

"Sweet! Nice!" Kaze smiles at Belle's possible pun to Guru!

Kaze seems like he's in a good mood, even more than usual.

"Yeah. I mean, if I was going to have to get up and like, make a speech or something, I'd be super nervous!" Kaze confirms with a grin to Crystal.

He visibly settles down then, figuring Phoenyx is going to want to call things to order or something in a minute.

"Puck!" Kaze replies warmly to Puck's greeting.

[Corn]

As usual, Guru delivers. It wouldn't be consilium without Guru's treats. "What's the occasion, neokore?" He asked Guru pointing at the official clothes as he picks a croissant. And then Puck arrived dressed formally too. Corn couldn't remember what Puck used to wear in the official consilia but he wasn't used to see him dressed that well. He gave a nod to the councilor.
Winter does his Winter thing: remaining silent. I think I have heard his voice ... twice in the entire year I am around. Corn thinks to himself.
A wise man speaks when he has something to say, while a fool speaks when he has to say something Corn thought not realizing where he stands in that equation.

He listens Kaze and Crystal talk about a speech and nervousness.
"What is this about?" Corn asks. "If there's a speech coming know that your audience will be like 10 people. Hardly a crowd to be self-conscious about. And you're better dressed than all except Aurora.
So... Crystal, we should arrange that welcome party for you, Belle and Guru that we discussed the other day. As the Mysterium's cup-bearer it falls mainly under your purview. Personally, I prefer if we held it within a space where we can talk safely but the decision lies with you. "

[Aurora]

There was just something about his sculpted good looks that went with the suit. And she finds herself absently adjusting the cuffs of her jacket.

Eyeing the bag, she smiles, “Are these the world-famous croissants I’ve heard so much about?” she says with a knowing smirk.

“Hmm?” she had spaced out there, “Oh, yeah.” Looking around the room at those gathered, “You got this.” She says softly. “And if not,” a shrug, “I’m right here.” Did she want to take the position back? No, not at all. Would she do it to make life easier for him? In a heartbeat. But seriously…buddy? Why did that bother her?

She wasn’t really paying attention to what Belle or Crystal were saying. Nothing caught her ear as important enough for her to notice. Was that rude? Maybe. But there was no talk of squaring a Circle and names being thrown around, so why pay too much attention?

Puck gets a nod. He was still a councilor, and respect was due there.

Then Corn is going on about Mysterium things, and the Shaman seems content to find herself a seat, off to the side, and watch. Absently picking at the croissant, a small smile on her face from the taste. It was amazing!

[Eulogy]

Eulogy waited paitently for the rest of the Concilium to arrive. Offering polite smiles as greeting to each when required. After a predetermined time the Moros mage cleared his throat and addressed the assembly.

"Excuse me! Yes Hi. May I have everyone's attention please? I think it is about time to get this thing going."

He looked around to see if anyone was actually paying attwntion. Regardless of the reactions he continued. "Councilor Phoenyx, Councilor Puck. Do either of you have old business to address before we move on to new buisness?"
