Belle tries to use her recovered phone light to follow Aurora's voice, but the Warlock is still a bit groggy. "If I can get a lock on, I can get at least one of us closer." She says as quietly as she can. Whoever this intruder guy was, Belle was getting some major 'Needs to Get his Face Kicked' vibes. "Nice job." She says genuinely to Corn. "We'll have to exchange notes on sick combo moves we can coordinate later."

If it wasn’t one thing, it was another. And this time, it was not being able to hear the woman. And her knowledge of Death wasn’t all that great.
So…she could sit here and enjoy the humming, it was quite soothing, or get someone else up here.
Leaning towards the ground, “I can get down. But I need someone up here who can talk with this ghost.” There was a time when she would have just taken the damn choker, be done with the whole thing.
But it felt wrong.
[FONT=&]“I can help someone get up here.” But someone needed to get up there to help.

Belle waves around the cellphone, its light more useful to take overexposed pictures than to spelunk. There weren't many directions to go though and she was pretty sure she was going towards Aurora. At some point there was rubble and broken stones lying on the ground, as if there had been some sort of structure that has now succumbed to time.
Chanting in High Speech, Corn felt his soul stir. There was power in those ancient words and the Moros was ready to use this power to bring the Mystagogues closer to their goal. Like an itch in the back of his mind he felt the Abyss stir too - with so much magical heavy lifting in such a short time it was so much easier for something to come knocking.
Then again, you had to break some eggs to make an omelette.
This evening had been a lot and nobody could blame Aurora for getting frustrated. However, the fact that she could see the ghost meant that she hadn't fucked up her spell. What did she know about ghosts, then? It really wasn't her main field of interest, but if you stuck around long enough you couldn't help but pick up things here and there. It could be possible that this ghosts somehow was too far away to communicate with her, Magic or no. She was still here, an anchor made sure of that, but time, trauma or both turned her into more of a shadow of herself.
Aurora got this. She wasn't a failure.
The silence near the entrance stretched out over more seconds.
"Ah!" Like the triumphant sound of the seventh trumpet the trapped Mage's voice rang through the darkness. This definitely didn't sound as if it belonged to a sane person anymore.
The Unseen Senses of the Awakened sang as a surge of power went through the tomb. "Hah! You can't hold me! You are nothing!"

Occultation Belle has just enough vision to avoid tripping over the rubble, and now clearly distinguishes Aurora's voice above her. She must've shifted to get up there. Nice! Though it sounds like they were needing something with a bit more teeth at ground level. The urge to smack something was indeed real.
Belle relinquishes her mental radar for her Mage Sight, hoping to prepare for whatever magical tricks the fanatic was preparing for them. She spins the mudras into being while talking sideways to Corn. "I might be able to boost you to get up there. Think you got the juice to make a super-jump?"

Something in what the Banisher said rings true. They can't hold him. The High Speech helped him formed the Imago as he gave himself the ability to speak with the dead.
Corn pressed the gun in Belle 's hands as his spell settles in this reality.
"Stop him from escaping, don't kill him." he told her quickly pointing the way of the shouts before calling up to Aurora "Can you help me up?"

This left her a few options.
Try more Spirit and Death spells to be able to hear the ghost. Or she could just suck it up and do a smash and grab, ask questions later. Cause for all she knows, the spirit is miserable being attached to the thing. Or get one of the others up here. Which meant changing their form.
But she wasn’t sure she could do it without seeing them. Sure, one could cast magic without sight, but there were a lot of risks and she could cast it on whoever else was down there. Or it could fail.
Hearing the guy shout told her the time was up to decide.
She was going down there, shutting him the fuck up, and getting Corn or Belle up here. It would mean more pain, but she knew it would be worth it.
Belles voice was heard, as was Corns.
Don’t kill they guy? Well…that would depend on a few factors. When she got down there. She was tired and she was in pain, this needed to end.
“Coming.” Was all she said.
She could feel the universe pushing back harder with each cast. And each time she braced for the pain, but none came this time.
And this time, she went for an owl form. Better see in the dark and take care of their annoying friend.

One spell was relinquished and another took its place: Belle opted to open her eyes to the abundance of Magic flung around. Things certainly have become more hectic compared to a few minutes ago. With the possibility of noticing (and therefore countering) what might get slung at them she worked at a plan to get Corn to where Aurora is. It's too dark to see how high she'd have to boost the Moros and the echo only suggested some distance.. she got the sinking feeling that it won't be too easy, though.
Said Moros got ready to do his part in the operation: with silent focus he brought the Imago into this reality and was ready to play mediator for whatever was guarding the treasure the Mystagogues came here for. And just after he was done conveying his plan to his colleagues, the air turned sickly sweet and then putrid again as the Shaman changed forms once more. With ease Aurora transformed hair into feathers, arms into wings and feet into sharp talons. After a few seconds an owl perched on the ledge of the alcove, ready to fly back to the others.
The screaming and yelling was replaced by cocky giggling verging on madness and soon the sound of distant bells was added to the cacophony. The Mage was casting again, potentially tempting the Abyss another time to take hold in the Fallen World.
Another yell, this one of surprised pain. "And I will bear his punishment, for I am chosen!" The last word was drawn out into a chilling howl of frustration. Whatever he had envisioned, it probably didn't work quite as planned.

The Intruder absorbs the Paradox, taking one point of bashing damage.
CornI've subtracted 2 dice from your pool (still a success, subtracted from the right): High Speech needs to be chanted a turn before casting.Casting and passing around equipment is also iffy, so let's agree to him casting his spell and giving out orders.
Aurora , equipment doesn't transform when you change shapes (unless you add Matter to the mix), so her Magic Tool is left behind with her clothes and equipment. Luckily, the result doesn't change.
Belle just a heads up: the group is a good distance away from the trapped other Mage, so they can't see him as is - therefore countering anything is also not possible right now.
If Corn wants to try and jump up there he'd need 8 successes in an (Str + Athletics) roll - one success allows a character to jump one foot vertically and with the added height of Belle and Corn you'd still need to cover ~3 yards (i.e. 8-9 feet). The walls are too smooth to climb, but Belle can do a (Str + Athletics) roll herself as part of a teamwork action for Corn.

Occultation Belle feels the gun from Corn's hand and there's a chill that runs through her blood. Not so much from the weapon itself, but from the sensation that she wasn't too unhappy that things were escalating. Belle's patience was well-worn by this point. Remember: don't let your emotions control you.
"Let's get you up there first, tough guy." Belle braces herself against the wall and prepares to help alley-oop Corn to where he needs to be.
