Mable brought the horses to graze in the field the furthest she could to get them away from the action. Then chicken's coop was closed up with them roosting in the top section. And the cats were put into her basement bedroom. The hidden door closed tight so no one who entered the house could see it. Animals were now as secure as she could make them.
She setup her laptop and prepared for any research she needed to do. Hopefully all her safety measures would hold up. She checked her cell phone for messages and to see if anyone triggered the security cameras. These were mostly setup to track wild life wandering the farm. Foxes really wanted her chickens. They also meant she could track the student workers when they worked during daylight hours. Kindred movements would send alerts at least. But really it was just all low tech for now (about the level of the doorbells that have cameras in them). Perhaps she should invest in more security as time went by.
All she could do now is wait for visitors welcomed and not welcomed to arrive.
Visitors using the driveway will see the long drive is flanked by blue solar lights all the way up it. In front of the tiny home is a small flower garden and a courtyard of sorts. Near the trees is a gazebo. across from that are empty horse stalls. Next to that are two green houses. Then the chicken coop. Around back is a path with beautiful flowers. These fade out to various fields. Behind the small farm house is an elaborate stone patio with various seating areas and an alter.
