If you want peace, prepare for war. Very classic Summer kind of saying. And profitable. Those that followed it made good customers.

Thanks to a certain fool, the blueberry gun elf was worried that war with a group of mortal monster hunters could happen. A waste of resources, time, and potential fodder allies. Gifts were a staple of diplomacy since it began, hence why she was working her forge. War materials should serve best. Supplying the mortals would make them easier to manage, being unlikley to turn upon their own logisitics chain. Because love or hate, if you are needed you are tolerated.

The Summer Queen would not just hand them over guns. Circe may bite the bill for the Freehold, a fellow Summer, or a friend but not for what was presently future cannon fodder. That may just turn upon them. First they had to gain their, well, loyalty for lack of a better term, before arming the mortal vigilantes was safe. Arms were out, but armoring was not. Circe didn't think they'd go for football pads, they'd probably just buy their own or "borrow" some from a school's closet. Also, it wasn't exactly subtle which the mundies seemed to be trying to do, cultish hoods aside. That left her with three alternatives: pricey, pathetic, or difficult. Second verse was an insult, first would hammer her wallet as a result. And she'd not want to tip her hand to the mundies that she had access to that kind of armor. Just in case they'd a broader range to their vigilantism then Fae slaver and man-eaters.

The peace offering would be made from three things. A grey hooded trench coat, polyster fabric, and chain mail. Bought the second and first, the last she'd have to re-make which her fingers would curse.

Making theses into armor that'd slow blade, claw, or tooth that could be worn in public? Sure, just sewing the mail into the lining shouldn't be too hard. Sewing, not stapling, the idea was for it to be subtle. Circe had seen similar coats in the Bay, layers of tough fabric added as a protective lining instead of just buying a sturdy leather number. And her research at the library, [thread=]with help yes[/thead], proved it feasible to have metal between cloth layers.

Chain Shirt

3 hours later, it was done, the shirt of chain was ready. Hopefully that translated to being easier to maneuver into the coat.

Sewed into a Coat

Ignorance of how to do this correctly slowed things down, really, and hour and a half to sew up a coat?

"Ow, ow, ow, ow," no she wasn't happy with her fingers. The results were great but sewing was hard. The coat would be impossible to tell at a glance that it had been cut open and resealed, though that'd be obvious at a touch. Now the Summer Queen had a gift for future diplomacy with the hooded Union gang.

And if they wanted more, then she would see if the other monarchs would object to her just Hedgespinng the mail after this one. It would be hidden in the cloth anyway, because this method she was doing, "Ow" summed it up for her fingers. Also, maybe a buy a sewing kit too.

OOC: not armor for use IC but something for trade/diplomacy purposes. The size rating should leave the chainmail as more a vest then sleeved coat.
