[Colonel Worm]

Worm's glad she goes for a real strike, not another attempt to disarm him. He appreciates the finesse of the maneuver. And its utility, of course.

But finesse and utility can be so boring. The Colonel does not do well with boring.

Her first swing misses, the second barely connects. Nothing compared to a real sword. Or even the wooden sparring swords they used last time around.

She's left wide open and the Goblin gives the Airtouched a good thwack to remember him by, grinning all the while.

Vivian 'harumphed' when he landed more than a substantial blow. Even though it was rubber, it still stung a bit! She was thankful that wasn't a real sword! Otherwise ouchie, that would leave a mark!

She grinned a little at him, nodding once in appreciation of the strike. "Well struck!" Hey, it was a good one! They needed all the pats on the back they could get for practicing! It wasn't always as pleasant as this though. The rubber swords sure helped. You could try to beat someone up with these damn things, and do absolutely nothing! Now wooden training swords....stung. And eventually it would become more than that.

Vivian decided to switch up her tactics a bit, and went to full dodge, her swords arcing and swinging together in a whirlwind of rubber sword goodness. She stuck out her tongue at Worm just to be an infuriating little brat!

Double Defense which makes her Defense 6.

"Why thank you," Worm replies, his voice sign-song, all sweetness and light. He's on the move, circling her, looking for an opening.

Her change in stance indicates a new strategy. Worm processes the information at a bodily level, rather than intellectually. His is the awareness of a battle hardened veteran, not a tactician.

The Colonel lunges. Strikes once, misses. And again. The second time yields a glancing blow. Perhaps Viv will recognize the maneuver, she used it to great effect during their last sparring match. Seems the Goblin learns from his opponents.

[Vivian Wing]

Vivian stepped back from the fight when she realized the time was waning. She shifted a rubber sword from one hand to the other, and extended a hand to Worm then. "I better start clearing all this up. Thanks for stopping by."

And with that she did exactly what she said she was going to do. Packing away all the foamies, and the obstacles and other fun things for another time, humming a little to herself as she went.

[Colonel Worm]

"Alright," Worm says with a shit-eating grin. Feeling vindicated after she whipped his ass the last time around. "Thanks for the dance," he says with a wink.

He sets the swords aside and picks up his suit jacket. Extracts the flask from the pocket and takes a long pull. Throws the jacket over his shoulder and strolls, shirtless, toward the bar. Uncapped flask still in hand.

"Be seeing you, Viv," he calls to his fellow Summer without looking back.
