[Puck]

Circle of creation

The Circle of Creation is the gathering hub for all Pentacle mages in the Sacramento Consilium, with chapter houses for all five Orders inside.

Located east of Sacramento and far outside the prying eyes of the inner city, the Circle of Creation awaits the mages of Sacramento. Despite being a replica of the Westminster Abbey, the sleepers who come by never seem to notice it. The wards built into the structure have made sure of this. To all but the Pentacle the Circle is essentially invisible, ensuring the safety of those who enter and engage with one another. Whether it had always been here for the Awakened was hard to say now, but it was the site that the Awakened gather to mingle and discuss official matters.



Today is for official business. The Awakened gather to announce, discuss, and deliberate on the most pressing issues facing the concilium. In this light the Circle is almost imposing, as it's enormity and importance seem to accentuate the gravity of the issues the Awakened face. Today maybe a day for heated debate and final judgment. For proclamations and newfound awareness. Ultimately though, today is what the Awakened choose to make of it.

As a reminder, Consilium is the official meeting but business should not be handled until after the first seven days. This is to give everyone a chance to enter the thread without missing anything. After seven days the thread is closed to new arrivals and the official business may commence.

[Puck]

Puck was sitting in the Sanctuary, once again dressed nicely. It was formal business time and the extra sigils dancing around the Acanthus said so. He watched the doors for people to file into the concilium, an uncharacteristically mirthless expression carved onto his face. Through the spirit arcanum he had acquired a new set of talents. Talents otherwise alien to the Libertine. Talents he hoped he would not require in this particular get together but wanted to have just in case.

Nothing was happening yet, and no food or special décor was setup for the meeting. It was just Puck sitting there. Watching.

Spellz and thingz

Puck drops Winds of Chance and his Fate armor to cast Superlative Luck and Gain Skill (Both with a 12 hour duration) without a Contagion penalty. Once both spells are cast he recasts his Fate armor with mana for a 24 hour duration.

[Solomon Kane]

The man named Solomon Kane pulled up outside and parked the Harley, considering the building briefly and with an appraising eye before nodding. He slipped off the bike after cutting the engine and made his slow way inside. His short, stocky, frame was clad in black jeans, motorcycle boots, a tee shirt with a superman logo on it, and a black leather motorcycle jacket.

He nodded towards where Puck was sitting and give him a nod. "Mornin'. Ya one of the locals?" He drawled.

[Aurora]

Formal. Councilor. Meant dressing up a bit. Not that she really minded, it was nice to dress up and feel pretty every now and then. So white dress pants with a neutral colored fitted top, seemed dressy enough.

What would this meeting hold? Was Puck still upset with Anima? Would that all come to head? Or had things been settled outside the Circle and it would be another uneventful, and boring, meeting? Only one way to find out.

Long legs carry her into the building, heeled shoes announcing her, long blonde hair straightened and flowing behind her. Travel mug in hand.

She spots Puck first, looking good dressed up. And yet, not too dressed up, it added to that carefree look he had. A smile was offered, “Hi Puck, how are you?” always good to be pleasant. And she had nothing against the guy anyway.

Now the other guy? He was new and she didn’t know him. But she still offers a smile, “Hello.”

[Kaze]

Kaze arrives at the Circle dressed a little nicer than usual, still a black shirt and trousers, but with a collar and long sleeved with cuffs, and the trousers are pressed, and the shoes are leather loafers, still black, but not athletic shoes this time.

"Hello, Councellor." Kaze says to Puck as he enters, and then nods to Aurora, "Councilor." He says, suppressing a grin, since Aurora has never been one to stand on formality or titles, but if he's going to call Puck a Councilor, he's definitely going to call Aurora one.

"Oh, hey." Kaze says to the unfamiliar face. "Kaze. Obrimos. Apostate." He says with a friendly smile. He doesn't offer his hand though.

[Phoenyx]

The First Talon made her way through the corridor. She wasn't sure when the last Official Concillium had been, but it was likely past time they had another. Her sneakers moved softly over the stone floor ash she made her way to the meeting room.

She looked around as she came in the door, noting the usual early arrivals and the unknown man, taking in his appearance and helmet. Dressed in her usual red t-shirt and training pants, the Arrow had her knives at her belt and the leather overcoat on as usual against the unpredictable spring weather. "Good Afternoon," she offered to the room at large with a small smile. The voice was the same measured one Kane had heard on the phone, with the same oriental lilt.

She made her way steadily over towards the new magus - she was only a few inches over five feet, but had a naturally serious appearance. "We haven't met... would you be Magus Kane? I spoke with a gentleman regarding arriving in the city recently," she added to the other mages by way of explanation. They hadn't discussed ranks so she naturally defaulted to formal, at least initially. "First Talon Phoenyx of the Adamantine Arrow."

[Crystal]

It was that time again: pretending to have any semblance of organisation in the local community of Awakened. Crystal was glad he popped by the last time, because this one was mandatory. Ish.
Look, what were they going to do? Drag him out of his apartment to force-feed him Guru's baked goods?

He wore something formal this time. Bold color choice aside, the suit and t-shirt lent him an air of seriousness and the light and airy fabric was perfect for the Sacramento spring. And yeah, pastels just did it for him.

What do you know? The Mystagogue was early. His eyes were immediately drawn to Aurora, Puck and Kaze - but that's just because they had the looks that weren't ignored easily. In that regard he really found his people in Sacramento. Puck and Phoenyx got a short, businesslike wave and a friendly smile. Aurora's greeting was a bit warmer and less formal: "Sweet outfit. I love how you over- and underdress at the same time!" Yeah, that probably counted as a compliment in Crystal's book.

Finally, he joined Kaze's side where the Awakened present flocked around a new face. An interesting face. Maybe a bit too rough? Then again, leather was a plus most of the time..
Oh right, introductions. "Hey there. Crystal." He offered his hand - you could tell a lot about someone by the way they shook hands after all.

"Hey Kaze, how are you doing?" With the introductions over with he could pay his friend due respect. He made sure not to give the Ex-Arrow his whole attention though: the jury was still up when it came to the newcomer.

[Eulogy]

Mordechai strode into the Circle with a large smile on his face and a little spring in his step. He was dressed much the same as he normally does except a little more formal in matching black three piece suit, expensive white button down silk shirt with a red silk bowtie. His jacket had a red carnation pinned to the lapel. On his feet he chose a fashionable wing-tip oxford. He paused at the door to look around at who was gathered. Seeing many of the same faces as before Mordechai moved closer to the gathered people. "Hello all, I trust you are all well this fine day" His glance and smile included both the woman ( Phoenyx ) and man ( Solomon Kane ) he didn't recognize.

[Puck]

Puck rises as the mages begin to gather.

"Sup." He gives Solomon a chin up. "I'm Puck. Libertine and Acanthus Councilor."

As Aurora enters he smiles. "Good. You?" Nervous, but good. His reaction to Kaze is stalled as his gaze lingers on Aurora. He never really stopped and appreciated how confident she was, or at least how confident she wanted to come across as. The Libertine was in the habit of treating her as another face in the crowd, and now more then ever her natural confidence and charisma was something he almost envied.

Speaking of envy? Mr Trust-Fund-EMT-Jock is in the house. "Hey Kaze." Still smiling here. He already made his joke about Kaze's background at the waterfront and the Obrimos didn't seem to be offended. Like everyone else in concilium, he was friendly with the Obrimos. As he prepared to drag Anima through the mud, the way Crystal gravitated towards Kaze struck the Acanthus that much more.

The others are noted with the same chin up Puck had given Solomon. They seemed keen to make their own conversation and Puck had no intention of impeding them yet. Mordechai didn't seem to have a conversation partner, though as amiable as the Moros had been he doubted that would last long.

[Guru]

Guru could even make a suit look casual, it helped he wasn't wearing a tie and he had the top buttoned opened but it was a formal Consilium so he at least made a passing effort to be dressed for the occasion. He was running his hands through his hair, puffing it out so it didn't sit flat against his head as he walked in and saw that maybe he'd been a bit more than fashionably late.


Today he'd been lazy with his baking and just brought a small ziploc of caramels, easy enough it was mostly about monitoring temperatures and cook times anyway. Easy enough for him. He gave a wave, the bag shaking a second before that hand fell down and he brought the other one up to wave. All the usual suspects were there and a new guy, who was talking to Phoenyx so either Obrimos or Arrow most likely. He seemed to draw enough attention that Guru slipped over to where Crystal had been near Aurora and gave her a stiff upward nod of his head and held out the open bag of caramels. "Sup, caramel?" He said with an entirely straight face, being more serious than he had any right to be. "They're individually wrapped so they don't stick together."


He looked around the room, nodding to anyone who acknowledged him but letting people get the excitement of the new kid in class out of the way, Guru was sure he'd touch base with him later or that he'd be introduced formally somehow. Besides that Guru didn't notice anything else off, everything seemed to be business as usual to the Shaman.
