(Grey Hoods) First Sight

[Saber Sloth]

The Lost weren't being sneaky, and there was plenty of witnesses who knew who they had, and where abouts they'd ended up in their efforts for privacy, which came in handy for Titania and Gerrit following after them. For the Winter and Spring, they step into the mouth of the alley - this one, not connecting to a side street like the other alley they'd come from, having spoken to the Girl in the Doorway and the Cheerful Clerk - seeing Circe and Sonnie, with a Grey Hood in a decidedly sorry state.

It's the Grey Hood who draws the Spring and Summer's attention to the others, with his plaintive whining. Taking in Titania's resplendent glory, but not missing Gerrit's leathery scars, and his bruise and blood colour pallet.

The Grey Hood blubbers, swallowing back snot and blood and his words.

Titania Vincent Gerrit Aeolus we're continuing here, and with them joining our GH is overwhelmed. Time for some Social Rolls! Wits+Empathy if you want to keep a bead on the GH's general mood. Press+Persuasion to calm him down, or Manip+Persuasion/Manip+Subterfuge depending if you wanna talk him into it or lie to convince him to answer some questions

And the others arrived, yes. They didn't have to yeet out, oh wait. Right, he could see through the Masks. "Hey. Soft game face failure," Circe quips to them whilst jerking a thumb at the panicking mortal. Somewhat camouflage for her words since the guy was a blubbering mess. Hopefully they got the message about the Masks not working. It'd probably help that she and Sonja had hardened their own Masks.

Then she focused upon him, because really this guy was not doing great.

The slowpokes finally caught up. What had kept them? In any case, Sonnie quickly realized the arrival of Titania and Gerrit would upset this jitterbug. They needed to avoid another piss session.

"Okay, so... just stay chill," she said to Hoodie Dude, "these are friends of ours. No need to freak out. I know the chick is super hot. Just try not to drool on her and you'll be fine, okay?"

Of course Circe and Sonnie hadn't been sneaky at all, but right now Gerrit was just glad that they weren't running head first into a trap. No, apparently they ran into this sorry member of the cult.

At first he felt sorry for the guy, but then he remembered the girl at the door - how tired she seemed, how overly cautious. He also remembered one of his dad's favourite sayings: 'Play stupid games, win stupid prizes'. His eyes moved over to the others, noticing their hardened masks and his mind connected the dots. A mean part of him wanted to stay just how he was, wanted to show the Hoodie just how stupid the prizes would get when dealing with the Fae - but he thought better of it. They weren't here to be petty, and for all he knew the guy was suckered into joining himself.

Gerrit took a deep breath, infused his skin with some Glamour and nodded at Circe. "Nice to see you two are all right. I'm keeping watch." He didn't like how he felt about all the blood and whether the guy deserved it, so he deemed it best to just turn his back on whatever the ladies were doing right now. He stayed close to a wall and looked out for cameras, reinforcements or curious bystanders.

The first thing she notices as soon as she's rejoined the group is the over-zeal of her companions.
They've put their victim (?) through a grinder of sort, indeed, it appears to be one of those hunter and prey situations.
"He-hello", she says, putting on her most comforting smile, "I apologize for our behavior. If only you'd be willing to ask a few questions"

[Saber Sloth]

Circe causes the Grey Hood to whimper, and Sonnie isn't associated with anything that would help calm the man, but Titania, now she, she's in her element. The Grey Hood's still shivering, but he's stopped blubbering.

The Bright One, because she's keeping an eye on the Grey Hood, and Gerrit because he's simply keeping an eye out, notice when the Grey Hood starts, head shaking in denial as Gerrit Hardens his Mask. Titania's focus is more on the pulse of his emotions, knows that the Grey Hood is terrified out of his mind, in pain and resigned.

Gerrit, knowing how important this is (and not quite wanting to...watch, whatever the ladies of Spring and Summer have in mind for the Grey Hood) turns his back, and focuses like he has never focused before. Due to their very easy finding of the alley the others had ventured down, the Ogre knows that the pedestrians know who's in the alley, and possibly what might be happening. However, none of those bystanders are looking to closely. They seem to be pointedly not looking down the alley. Hell, Gerrit sees someone, reach up and turn a camera away from the alley. No one, it seemed was going to come help the Grey Hood.

Back with the Grey Hood and the Bright One working her mundane magic on the man, who's stopped his autuoble sound of discomfort and fear, his eyes are watering, and he keeps swallowing, but he nods. Then in a very small voice, "...I-I guess I have too don't I?"

"Of course we're good. I even fixed his," points at hoodie with laughter in her voice, "Nose after he broke it himself. Crackle pop, back in place."


As for the mortal, he has her attention again. "No ya don't," she smiles at the poor fool, "Especially since folks think yer a two timer that got caught by his girlfriends." She then looks to Gerrit before adding, "And one boyfriend, you gigolo you."


She then looks to Sonja Wu briefly, "I suppose she," jerks a thumb at Titania, "Gets ta be angelic cop? Makes sense," looks back to hoodie, "So please do answer the questions. The more ya answer, the better off ya are."

Sonnie sighed inwardly. Grey Hoodie ignored her because he was enthralled by Titania. Typical.

But she wasn't jealous of Fairest. Nope.

They don't get to have tails. Tails are awesome.

In any case, the Beast caught Titania's look towards their interviewee and his physical condition. She shrugged, "We never hit him. He did this to himself. Dude is... um... not lucky."

[Gerrit]

Seeing the people's attitude towards the grey hoods gave Gerrit a sorely needed feeling of satisfaction. It seemed like the girl's family wasn't the only one who were not particularly welcoming towards a cult. Maybe even the slightly-too-positive clerk was also fed up with their presence and just had his personal way of dealing with this.

Whatever the reasons - they seemed to be doing the city a favour by acting against the cult, so Gerrit let the women do their thing for now while continuing to stand guard.

She frowns at the other women. Things looked suspicious and with cameras everywhere...
