(Nexus II) Over by the bar

[Emily Makerith]

Emily bounces over to the bar, leans over and orders 2 double vodkas and Comfortable Screw. The first vodka is drained almost as soon as they hit the bar, as the werewolf tries to distract herself from Circe's dress. Or more accurately, what it barely concealed.

She pays the man and turns, looking at whoever follows her over.

[Crystal]

Crystal joins Emily wordlessly, ordering a long island ice-tea himself. You couldn't do wrong by just mix all of the liqueurs and adding a little coke, after all.

He paid and with a couple of deep drags the glass was half-empty. He heard that drinking from straws would make you drunk faster. Well, it was time for this Mystagogue to engage in some science.

Finally he addressed the blue-haired woman with a slight upward nod. "Hey."

Emily jutts her head up by way of greeting. "Hey, handsome." She slams back the second double with practiced ease and throws out a pale hand ending in nails that match the hair. "Emily. Uh, in case ya missed it. And this hot little thing is Mable." She grins.

"So. What do you do?" The werewolf beams. "I figure we may as well get right to it - I'm here to learn, and direct is Queen. How you wanna play? I'll show you mine if you show me yours? Science lecture? Twenty questions? Just remember it's like don't ask, don't tell up in here, but I've never been one to hide!" Emile laughs to herself.

[Mable Wood]

"Hi." Mable said with a grin. "Sweetie, you're the hot one not me." ​She kissed Em on the cheek.

[Crystal]

Despite the confusing (and frankly quite frustrating) way the evening's been going so far, Crystal put on his most winning smile. Being complimented was a start, at least. He shook Emily's hand once and nodded at Mable. "Charmed. I'm Chris, in chase your 'hot little thing' distracted you during the merry round of introductions." Great, so not only was he put into the ladies' corner of the room, he was also the third wheel.

The punk's bluntness made Crystal hesitate. Memories of San Francisco's very own Guardians bringing down the law upon him mixed with whatever bad mojo the two women gave off - hot and emotional from Emily while cold and more predatory from the blonde - made him need another sip of alcohol. "Mh, if you're so bold why don't you go first and chose for us?" He could only applaud his own brilliance - better see what he was dealing with before committing to any sort of answer.

The situation was interrupted by Tiny talking to Chris. Playing hard to get apparently paid off. "You'll have to excuse me for a moment, ladies." He turned towards the bald man and was again met with that rush of emotion, but while it also seemed dangerous it brought a different form of excitement with it. A playful smirk appeared on the Warlocks lips as he considered Tiny for a long moment before answering. "Well, at the moment I'm using my sharp wits to crack a case with those two beauties here. I'm pretty sure the rope and the candle could play a big part and I definitely have my eyes on professor Plum and Colonel Mustard." The smile widened and before giving the man a chance to answer, Crystal has already asked the bartender for a pen and scribbled something on the napkin his cocktail was served on.

He addressed Tiny again, handing him the napkin. "Why don't you give me a call and we'll discuss our findings? I'm afraid I'll have to get back to my other new acquaintances." If playing hard to get was what got him so far, there'd be no harm to keep doing that, right?

When he returned his attention to Emily and Mable again he noticed that his heart was still beating hard and fast. Maybe it was the uncanny and enormous amount of energy on the rooftop, maybe it was the thrill of a possible new conquest - he felt alive.
"Now, where were we?"

The Crescent rolls her eyes good naturedly at Mable. "Oh, shush. You're meant to be socialising."

Emily smirks. "I believe in being direct. I'm a werewolf. And I know you're not.... but that's about it." She removes her jacket, and lays it on the bar. "And since it's not really fair to expect you to believe me on face....."

The smirking punk winks and suddenly a silverly-pale wolf is in front of him. It flicks it's tail idly for a few moments, and then Emily is stood in front of him again.

"Your turn."

Mable gave a finger wave and smile to Tiny when he approached.

Mable wrinkles her nose at Emily when she made a socializing comment.

Then she turned into the silver wolf and Mable let out a giggle, she loved the wolf form. "She sheds a lot." She teased.

She then considered Chris and his charming self. What was he she wondered.

Maybe it was the hormonal overdrive he was riding on, maybe it was the alcohol - when Emily turned into a wolf and back again Crystal's stomach dropped and his instincts yelled at him to run away like the prey he was to this beast. Fuck, a Thyrsus would have maybe taken it more in stride, but he wasn't a fucking Shaman and this wolf wasn't just run-off-the-mill terrifying.

He overplayed his shock by drinking another third of his cocktail. "Nice trick." It sounded really almost as unimpressed as he'd like. But apparently now it was his turn. He didn't think too highly of the Guardian of Sacramento - compared to San Francisco he seemed downright nice - but Skye had already proven to be a stick in the mud. He really didn't want to move again (let alone not wanting to go another interrogation Guardian-style).

"Ah, I'm afraid I'm much more boring." He shrugged and went with the closest half-truth he could manage in his adrenaline-rush. "I'm just a psychic. You know, mind reading and all that jazz. What about your lovely company?" He had his suspicion, but in this case it was better safe than sorry.

Emily snorts. "I.... that's.... it's natural!" she laughs at Mable.

"Oh." she pouts. "Is that it? That's not nearly as good a reaction as I got last time. Most people are impressed to meet a werewolf." the Ithauer smirks. "Ah-ah-ah," she waggles her finger from side to side. "Not getting away that easily, buddy. I'd like to see a little proof! I do my party piece and in return you fire of a one-liner? C'mon, how is that fair? Show me a little mind reading." She glances sideways. "We-elll..... that's up to her if he tells you or not."

[Mable Wood]

"Sweetheart, you looked very big and scary. Chris just seems to have a lot of composure." She said to Emily encouraging. "You will always be my big strong protector." She flashed a smile, after all they had spoken about who would win a fight many times.

Mable gave a little grin, "I could be considered a witch."

"But I am much more interested in your psychic abilities. Can you speak to ghosts or is that more of a medium thing?" She tilted her head in a charming manner as she focused on Chris.
