At the banquet table, the Beast was casually stuffing her face with a variety of foodstuffs as she watched the coronation celebration continue.

She waved at the arrival of the Summer Queen, "Heyuh, Thirthee!" Her words were garbled by a mouth full of some sort of cake, and bits of it flew out.

Sonnie looked to Ethan and, after swallowing the cake, grinned at him. "Don't worry. Nobody else here understands Italian, either. We all just sort of smile and nod along when she gets going like that."

Cassandra watches the rather battered Wizened with a hint more concern, though it is hard to tell with the way her colors shift, "I took a few weeks considering which piece I'd play. Too many options and so many felt too stereotypical when I played through them. Oblivion is a personal favorite and it just felt correct, if you know what I mean." She gives a gentle smile and then her attention turns towards John who asks her about the other Ogre.

Her gaze turns toward Gerrit for a moment and then back to John, "His name is Gerrit. The mantle feels correct to be one of ours. New arrival is what I have gathered thus far. I'd considered going to speak with him again, but I'd wanted to give him Seeming room for the moment. If he is, we should see about doing a nice little get together." Again, the Polychromatic smiles. It feels appropriate to smile, even though there is still the slight discomfort of being around so many new faces. You can't be too comfortable, but you can let them think you are comfortable.

[Seraphina]

She was still curious where her fellow Spring shopped, but it didn’t seem like the time to ask about a shopping trip. A little nod of her head, “Thank you.” Though she believed it was all due to Rhodes and his suit.

Tensing slightly, hoping that wasn’t going to be brought up, but she still smiles, “I am doing quite well, and I have you to thank for that.” But she didn’t want to talk about and didn’t think it had been that bad.

Anatole nodded along as Cassandra spoke.

"I think so. You certainly picked the right piece for the situation, I'd say."

The dwarf ventured after a moment. A part of him wanted another drink, but he felt his legs wobble dangerously so he scrapped the idea; instead he tried to shuffle his flagging balance between his walking stick and leaning on the table. The effort was taxing: he almost missed the polychromatic's Fairest assessment of the new Ogre.

At least he registered the Court connection. He said nothing, but the tilt in his head and the way his eyes switched between the two Onyx was obvious.

Anatole was in no condition to school his body language at this point.

Smiling a bit at his attempt to keep similar to her.
"No need to feel any pressure, just be yourself dear sir." That was always the best. "I try to bring a smile and happiness to those around me if that is not what feels right for you so is there no need to feel forced to do so." Smiling kindly towards him. "Please do, we all have more value than just our skills and knowledge even if those can come in handy as well of course." Eyes watching his clothing "Now that is lovely, I am trying to get into sewing myself. If you ever wanna show me how to knit so would I love to learn from you, it could be fun." Eyes shining up for a brief second as he mentions the library but quickly goes down again. "Ohh I am there quite a bit myself however for me so is it books with stories especially romantic ones although not exclusively of course." Science was not books she ever even looked at though.

Tapping her cheek for a second before looking at him a bit teasingly.
"Well that depends on how you look at it, if you mean how I earn my money so is that one thing and if you mean what I do so did I just start college. Ask me about my job next time we meet and I can tell you about that, this is not the right scene for it though." Eyes going over to Sonnie for a quick second "Faccio adorabile scimmietta" Turning back to Ethan "As she says though so is it not many who do and there are plenty of other ways to get along with her, she is quite nice and well she does love to do the unexpected."

"Anyway I do hope to see you soon then and once again welcome to Sacramento."

Walking of into the crowds, mingling and doing her best to be social for the remainder of the celebration.

“If you need help getting home Anatole I can grab you a cab or something. I don’t have a car or I’d offer a ride myself.”

John nodded to Cassandra but his gaze was distant, she was speaking to him and he was hearing her but the words weren’t registering. He nodded to Cassandra. “Yea, he just confirmed it.” He reached up and tapped to his ears, he was very observant when he needed to be. Helped that he’d learned how to filter out everything around him to focus on eavesdropping. “Want to go say hi? I’ll meet you there I gotta do something first.”

He took a deep breath and sighed, as there seemed to be a lul in the conversation between Rhodes and Seraphina he slowly approached the two and held out the small bundle to Rhodes. “Congrats, I uh, hope you enjoy it. It’s from when we were talking about dreams. Don’t know if it’s your style but…” He held the package out and then thumbed to the Cauldron. “I gotta go say hi to someone.”

Cassandra nods in agreement on going to meet Gerrit. There is something about the distance in John's shadows for eyes that unnerve her, but she can't decide what it is. She doesn't take it personally. "Okay." She says simply. Perhaps she'd be talking too much in general tonight.

"It was nice to meet you Anatole. I hope we get to chat again soon." She says quietly before walking over to the Cauldron.

The autumnal night stretches out into the soft light of day, were their shadows dancing in the corner of their eyes, or was it simply a trick of the light?
