BDN: Sharp Lessons

[Twist]

The theater was quiet, the ever present safety lights the only things providing illumination in the parking lot and around the building. A lone figure stood in front of the main doors. Not slouching, not leaning against the glass panels, standing... waiting. The faint blue light from the tablet in his hand illuminated the lines of his face as his fingers tapped and slid across the screen.

He was waiting, but that didn't mean he didn't have work to do.

Mable parked near the theater. She saw a lone figure waiting by the door. She got out of her old truck and walked to the figure. She waited for him, not wanting to interrupt what he was working on.

[Twist]

Hearing her approaching footsteps, the figure made a final swipe and with a button click the screen faded to black as he turned his attention to the Kindred.

"Good evening," Kalos greeted, his voice carrying smoothly through the evening air. "If you will follow me," the statement only hinting at it being a question as he held open the door for Mable.

Leading her through a side door and into the back hallways of the theater, they eventually came to a final door which he again held open for her. Inside was a small studio. Tumbling mats stacked against one wall, another covered in floor to ceiling mirrors. Off to the side, next to a table, stood Twist. Dressed in black, her gaze didn't lift from the knife she was sharpening as Mable entered.

The sound of the edge sliding against the whetstone was only briefly interrupted by the sound of Kalos closing the door on his way out.

Mable nodded and followed him in. Upon seeing Twist, Mable's first thought was when she took Davis's tongue. Hopefully it wouldn't be that bad. What ever it was going to be she would have to endure it.

Mable gave a bow of the head, "Good evening."

[Twist]

Twist didn't respond right away, instead she laid the knife down on the table, the shine of it's metal matching the shine of others laid out.

Only then did she look up to Mable, "Good evening," she replied in turn, "I hope that it remains that way."

Settling back on her heels she motioned with a single hand, "Well, come in. I wish we could have had this meeting earlier but at least we are able to handle it now. I assume you have not forgotten the purpose?"

Mable came further in. "No, I have not forgotten. I have spent a lot of time thinking about my mistake."

[Twist]

Her head tilting to the side as she looked at the Gangrel. "Oh? And...?" she prompted, mildly curious despite herself to hear what Mable's thoughts had come to.

[Mable Wood]

"Well beyond the fact that it was a very stupid mistake and I didn't mean to be disrespectful... I have been thinking about how I can keep from making mistakes in the future. Mainly, I need to be careful and think before I speak. And I need to just not speak very often to eliminate the opportunity for mistakes." Mable looked a bit grim, not her usual smiley self.

[Twist]

"That is definitely one way to reduce mistakes," Twist said dryly.

"However, as a recognized member of the city, you will be expected to speak sometimes and so our discussion continues. You said that the mistake was very stupid. Let us start there- what was your mistake and why was it stupid?"
