Movie night in sleepwear

[Cassandra Reeding]

"Good to know," She smiles at Yamiyo and then takes another sip of her tea.

She looks back at Ram, a little bit confused by his response, "Ah... well, I understand that," She looks down a little bit, "I didn't mean it in regards to our Durance. I had meant it sounded like something happened while you've been in the freehold that has to do with you breaking things and singing about it." She sighs a little bit, "But hey, I get it. There's a reason I'm so good at my own instrument." Blue becomes more prevalent of a color upon her skin, but just for a moment, "I apologize if I made your brain go there at all." she says quietly.

She continues watching the movie, grinning a bit as the story continues. It never gets old for her, though it does give her heart a little bit of a ping of pain. My darling Westley. She jumps then as the door swings open, "Oh, gees." She gives the Beast a look over as she enters, her voice loudly exclaiming about ice cream cake.

"Really already next month that was quite soon, hmm wonder if I should join this time or not my only real performance skill is not one I know how appreciated it would be and I would need to practice the routine a bit." Never really having used it for performing arts before but rather for completely different reasons.

"If you say so Ram, as long as I do not need to have them around anymore and the sooner I can wash the bottles and throw them away the better they really need to make ones with better scents for easy home purchase."
Her eyes going large as Ram stood up, the door flinging open, jumping to defensive position herself if there was one thing she was good at so was it escaping not that she wanted to do it and leave her guests to fend for themselves but still it was a habit of mind deeply ingrained in her. Quickly cooling down as she could see that it was Sonnie standing there.
"Welcome dear, yes that is correct let me get it for you."

Getting up and running over to the freezer to to get the ice cream cake out, along with taking out four deep plates, caramel and chocolate sauce to add along with a bag of meringue and sprinkles. Just as she had said so were the ice cream cake decorated with rainbow sprinkles reading Sonnie.
"I hope some of the treats will be to your liking dear." Waving her hand out over the table "And please meet our newest freehold resident." Pointing over towards Cassandra. "She's a really nice girl." Her eyes locked at Cassandra "And this" pointing towards Sonnie "is perhaps one of the most energetic people and best there is to bring unexpected smiles." The appearance of the monkey having been a more than welcome distraction.

"Oh, clumsy fellow, huh?" Sonnie said, watching Ram curiously, apparently not realizing she had inadvertently caused the Ogre to spill his beer. "Try club soda! I hear that gets anything out!" she called out helpfully.

"Hmm?" she looked at Titania questioningly. "Like what?"

"Ah, you're the best, Yamiyo!" She grinned at the Succubus, then looked towards the brand new face. Another Fairest, it seemed, though this one was very colorful. "Howdy! I'm Sonnie Wu! Claviger of the Spring Court, Ancient and Wise Kung Fu Master, and the resident Monkey Queen! Nice to meet ya!"

“Ah, don’t worry about,” he assured Cassandra. Sonnie’s entrance had done more to bring him back there than anything the Artist had asked or he had said. “I didn’t get what you were asking about. When I got here people were asking me about my interested and I mentioned singing. Which apparently people thought hearing me in a talent show would make me sing better even though my talents lie more shattering brick.”

He finished collecting some napkins and sat down to mop up his mess. He frowned a bit as his his eyebrows creased at Sonnie’s comment but he kept cleaning rather than engage. He popped a couple spilled nuts into his mouth as he did. “What happened?” he asked as he tried to start watching the movie again, wet napkins slowly filling a spilled cup.

Cassandra waves to Sonnie with a small smile, "Nice to meet you, Sonnie. I'm Cassandra. Winter Courtier and, I guess, your local freehold musician who glows fun colors," she chuckles a little bit, "Yamiyo's told me you are quite the treat to be around, not that she has told me much else." She smiles, though she thinks to herself, Which is impressive, given she is a Spring Courtier.

She looks over to Ram, a little relieved, "Well, Ram, I'd love to hear you sing sometime. Singing, much like any other skill, is something you get better at with practice. Like a video game. You grind the skill and you get better with time," clearly, she has more of a teacher's outlook than a performer's when it comes to talent, "Perhaps we, and/or other members of the freehold, could do some kind of a duet at some points. I do play piano, it isn't my distinct specialty, but I can get by well enough for accompaniment purposes. I've... rather missed getting to do more performance work with other Changelings. It's good for bringing everyone together."

She turns her gaze back to the screen, figuring out where they are in the movie, "Well, the Princess just went out riding and has been kidnapped by three guys who are running a plot for the King to start a war. Oh! And if you haven't noticed and maybe are a fan, the guy who says 'inconceivable!' a bunch, Vizzini, is also the actor who played the Grand Nagus in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine."

The Polychromatic smiles as she continues eating her mochi, the hues of her opalescent skin very calm as they shift, not really making her expression or feelings clear beyond the smile she chooses to show.

How to catch two birds with one stone.
She meant to admonish Sonnie, who had intruded upon the household without much thought, but again, Ram clearly had something to apologize for.
She decides to let the topic slide.
"We should definitely. Singing hasn't been given much attention in the last show", she's not really interested in the movie. For starters, all those stories ended the same way.
Hard to get interested in a fable when you're a character of one, and you know happy endings are a myth. At least until now.

Lightly blushing a bit from the monkeys praise.
"Just trying to be a good host and have delicates suited for each and everyone, we are currently watching princess bride sadly you missed the beginning I am afraid."

Walking over towards Ram with a dish cloth, helping to make sure to get the stickiness and everything away.
"How are you feeling dear?" Smiling a bit of an awkward smile at him, she knew that she might have been a bit hard on him before without meaning it, slowly placing a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry you are amongst friends here."
Taking the trash to throw away as she went back with the dishcloth.

Looking towards Cassandra as she walks back to her recliner.
"Star Trek that is the red shirt one right?" She didn't know movies and show very well to begin with and sci-fi was really just a jumbled mess in her mind. "The performing arts are always a lovely way to bond, why don't you try to get something going overall not just short term but more of a long term project I am sure some would love it."

Sitting down in her seat again waiting for the others to take of the ice cream cake if they wanted it, she was not one to eat such things though instead trying to get back into the movie not that it was easy as she hadn't really followed it to begin with and had no clue who half the people were.
Slowly sipping her daiquiri drink.

"Oh, yeah. I gotta try that punching bricks trick sometime. I just never found the right bricks." The Monkey nodded to the Ogre, "Also, I have this weird phobia about shattering my hand bones."

"Hiya, Cassandra! Welcome to the freehold!" She nodded enthusiastically to the colorful Fairest. "Heh heh, he was diddling Quark's moogie."

Helping herself to a big slice of the ice cream cake, Sonnie plopped down in a decent spot to see the television. "It's okay. I've seen this movie like a hundred times! It's the best movie ever made without monkeys in it!"

Ram cleared his throat when Lillich asked if he was okay, knowing he’d overreacted “I’ll survive,” he said quietly “Just need to get distracted.”

Continuing to watch he found himself almost immediately connecting with the giant. Not wanting to kill anyone. More clever than Vizzini gave credit. Big. Yeah, he liked that character.

“Grand what-now? Last Trek I remember was the animated series.” It was kind of scary that Star Trek had kept going for so long in his absence. Scarier was the huge back log television and movies he needed to watch to catch up with what others had gotten through cultural osmosis.

He started picking up (and occasionally eating) the chocolates and nuts from the floor. He almost said to Sonnie that you got used to breaking your bones punching bricks if you did it enough but he didn't

Cassandra chuckles a little bit at Yamiyo's comment, "Yeah. The red shirts. It's gotten better since TOS." she smiles a bit more, "But yeah, something long term performance related could be fun in whatever form it takes. Bringing together the courts is always a great way to strengthen the bond of a freehold."

She giggles a little then, excited that Sonnie knew exactly what she was talking about, "Yes! Oh, that was hysterical. Everything about the Ferengi episodes give me life. I can tell we are definitely going to get along!"

Looking back over to Ram, she says, "Oh. Deep Space Nine. I want to say it started in... 1993? I missed it the first time it came around due to... well... anyway, when I found out there was more Trek when I got back, it quickly became one of my favorites." She glows just a little bit, the specs of color in her skin reflecting more brightly. At the same time, her gentle, chilly mantle seems to swirl a little around her. She continues watching the movie and she already looks significantly more comfortable.
