Eternal Court

The Nox Populi is an upscale experience that will take Sacramento nightlife to a whole new level.

In the heart of downtown Sacramento there is a place of intrigue, excitement and entertainment. The modern flare of this venue is host to exclusive parties. The seduction of this establishment may take you away as you drink, dance and socialize. There are private services available upon request. The best DJ’s in town are in line to play a wide variety of music. Some of you may dine…as long as you have your VIP pass.

However the Kindred arrive they are discreetly met and led to the back of the club. The space downstairs is decorated in dark, rich woods and expensive furniture. There's a coat room that will also hold one's 'unmentionables'; namely, weapons, at the foot of the stairs. There are also private areas, dark, and furnished with soft couches, as well as meeting rooms with conference tables and chairs, and an area with several televisions. The Court area is decorated with long black and brown silken drapes cascading from floor to ceiling. Draped in elegant bunches and gathered into valances across door frames and between supporting pillars; the lighting is intentionally low, but without the pulse of the music from above, the place has the feel of a sepulchre.

The common area circles the Court proper, and it becomes apparent that this is not decorated for a single evening. Small symbols note areas for Kindred only that branch off of the Commons, which will be necessary once those Kine privileged enough to see behind the Masquerade filter in: ghouls, herd members, or even devotees. The furniture setting is familiar now: a set of elegant chairs, all dark wood and red leather, arranged in a circle. The baroque lighting leaves the corners of the Elysium commons in deep shadow.

Another evening; another Danse. For some it will their first, for some it shall be their last. After all, this is the Prince's Elysium, and subject to the Laws of the Domain.

Eternal Court is open once more...

This is a great place to get Acknowledged

Eternal Court is not a singular event. Always open and in constant motion, a compression of the comings and goings of Kindred within Elysium throughout the nights. As such, Eternal Court is also never truly empty; this can include 'faceless masses' of Kindred beneath notice, ghouls, herd members, devotees, or even officials in their offices.

[JC Smith]

JC entered Elysium. He had been able to get acknowledged last time but still needed a better feel for local Kindred society. He wore his best clothes, which wasn't that good. They were stained and worn but the had been washed recently so the smell of the streets was as prevalent.

However, just entering made him immediately regret his decision. He wanted to learn but he didn't even need to see any faces to sense the other predators in the crowd. Feelings tore through him. Fear and anger. Desires to rip apart challengers and flee aggressors. Even those that didn't present the taint were a threat. Hidden behind masks or spies for cowardly masters. JC stiffled the low growl that was forming in his throat.

He'd survived so far. He could survive this. He just needed to calm down and refocus. Ten... nine... eight... seven... six...

[Jacque]

Jacque made his way down the familiar steps of the Nox and into the Court Proper. The ebb and flow of the Beast crashed against him, wanting both to rend the weak and flee from the alpha. Anger and fear whispered and pulled, but would not win over the Lord's conscious. Out of respect, he first bowed his head to the Prince, "Your grace."

He then mimicked the greeting to any officers present and finally nods to familiar faces before starting to circulate.

The night was young and perhaps tonight he would find something to make him feel a little less jaded about these gatherings.

Walking into Court, Cain at her side, she stops long enough to not only observe the room, but settle her Beast as well. It paced and snapped at the bars, wanting the blood of the weak one.

Tonight, she wore a vest with its front held closed by two buttons, a black bra peeking out. It was paired with a nice pair of black dress pants, with her hair piled on her head.

Moving further into Court, she nods to JC Smith and Jacque . And approaches her Cousin,

“Good evening Mr Smith.” Greets the Italian, Cain, for his part, stands at her side. His body tense, his eyes always watching.

[Horatio Quilz]

Horatio enters the club in the usual way, before entering court he finishes up with the lint roller on his clothes.
Upon entering court and disposing of the paper, Horatio let's the beasts roll through him as he steadies himself and makes the appropriate bows. First to the Prince and then one to Jack as far as he could tell, it was just them and the new kindred.
"Good evening."

[Jennifer Hazelton]

Jennifer strides in with confidence, pausing at the threshold to look within and see who was present. Ah, good. She wears an A line dress in muted brown, a shimmering champagne colored silk scarf pinned in place with a spider pin. The pin is composed of fire agate in brown tone and glittering green gemstone that she has worn before. Her brown hair has been curled and pulled into a half up, half down style.
The member of the First Estate bends respectively first to the Prince. "Your Grace." The Nosferatu greets, her ruined voice grating like nails on a chalk board tonight.

If her Grace acknowledges her, Jennifer straightens and greets Jacque with a respectful nod for his good reputation in the domain. "Good evening." The Prince is near JC, who she recognizes from the evening where she became distracted from conversation.
The Lady gives a nod of greeting to JC and Horatio, much less than the one given to Jacque.

[JC Smith]

JC’s fingernails dug into his palm. The Prince entering court was enough to set the fearful part of him on edge. And then she had made her way almost straight for him. His body tensed in anticipation of an attack. Tense… relax… tense… relax… He clenched and unclenched his fists, trying to give an outlet for the emotions boiling in his mind.

“Good evening, your Grace, Prince Alessandra Antinori,” he responded more from habit than anything else. Habit of manners being one of the few things keeping him here at all. He bowed, while thinking about how bad an idea it was to expose your neck to a killer. Even more so when it also brought him closer to Cain’s level. JC knew enough about dogs to recognize this wasn’t a friendly puppy you asked to pet. He avoided eye contact with the canine and slowly rose. No sudden movements.

“How are you doing tonight, your Grace?” he asked. He tensed a second later. He wasn’t sure how old his Priscus was but he realized the question might be seen as intrusive (or worse, uninterested) depending on her culture and upbringing. Her accent was Italian, and from what he knew Europeans saw the question of ‘how are you’ as genuine inquiry rather than greeting. Hopefully that held true.

As more Kindred he recognized entered he did his best to nod in recognition without diverting his attention from the dangerous woman in front of him.

The rage of yet another weak Beast made her pause. But only for a moment, as her own clawed and bit at its cage.

A nod offered to the Shadow.

Another offered to Jennifer as she entered, always one for more formal attire. Did the Haunt own anything but dresses? Discussion for another time.

“I’m doing well, thank you. And you? How are you settling in?”

[Alice Hart]

Alice strides out from her office. Clad in a black chiffon number with puffed sleeves. The white of the collar fades into the white of her throat, even as that line tenses, traveling through her jaw and her teeth. The gums itch. The Wraith writhes, thrashing around her bones and through her blood.

The duality of sensation wars through beastial insticts, she fights them. Jaw clenching and fangs wanting - She reigns it in. THe Wraith is subsumed by the ocean once more and the Blind Doll continues her forward momentum. Lyssa at ehr elbow and a step behind.

She offers a deep curtsy to Ale, pausing for a moment before rising and veering off to the side. The Prince seemed to have someone to talk to tonight, and far be it for her Senechal to distract from that.

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap enters the club dressed in a nice callico striped, button down collar shirt and pressed, clean work jeans and clean and shined boots. He's made an effort, and it looks reasonably dressed up from his usual ensemble.

He nods deeply, more of a bow in the direction of the Prince as he enters, and then also respectfully towards Lady Jennifer and Seneschal Hart and to his Covenant superior, Horatio and Jack. JC gets a more casual nod of acknowledgement.

Since Jack seems relatively unoccupied, Dirt Nap heads over in the area near Jack, curious about his decision to attend the Eternal Court.
