[Aurora]

Chuckling as she enjoyed her coffee once again, “That’s quite the look.”

Blue eyes narrow, “It is not. And I didn’t give you a look.” At least she didn’t think she did. Did she? “I am being honest. I haven’t said anything that has been a lie, I have no reason to lie.” Her arms cross over her chest, drinking more of the coffee.

“Well, I don’t have much here. Cooking was never one of my skills. But there are some breakfast places close by the started delivering. Unless you want to go out.”

[Phoenyx]

"It was inelegant of me," She protests quietly, her cheeks fading slowly. "It doesn't look right." It sounds a more like reciting a mantra than truly believeing it.

Phoenyx gives Aurora a calculating look. "Okay." She shrugs.

She pauses for a moment. "I could have a waffle. That would be different. I don't normally have sweet things but I feel like changing things. I can always go for a run later."

[Aurora]

An eyebrow raises as she laughs, “Inelegant?” still laughing, “Never heard of someone making a face being called inelegant.” Shrugging, “It looks fine. And you make faces like that all the time.” She points out.

“What?!” she asks, hands out to her sides. “What is that look for?” she didn’t like that look.

“Oh! A waffle with strawberries and whipped cream!” now that sounded good. “There’s a nice little twenty-four hours place right down the road, and they have amazing waffles! My treat.”

[Phoenyx]

Eyes widen with a hint of panic that is rapidly controlled. "I... do?"

Confusion. "What look? You said everything was okay, and I'm trusting you."

She smiles. "Okay. Let's go." Something sweet would remove the lingering whiskey taste. Nope. Not for her.

[Aurora]

A small smirk, “Oh, yeah, you do. I’m just not afraid to point it out to you.” Others might not to be nice or worry about offending. Not her.

“Seriously?” she asks, looking for a pair of shoes, “You gave me a look like you were trying to figure out of I was lying or something.” So she kinda had been. But that was a separate matter.

Finally finding her shoes, not that her loft was a mess, it was spotless. But she was looking for a certain pair. UGG flip-flops. And oh so comfy.

“Did you want to walk or take my car?” she asks.

[Phoenyx]

Eyes narrow in a scowl but her lips are curled in a smile. "Thank you. I value your honesty."

Phoenyx pauses before answering. "I have answered questions in that way. You helped me see that I was lying to myself. I cannot tell that for you. and I am sure you have the truth you wish, and the truth that is. I cannot do any more." Her words are measured, trying to convey her honesty.

"Walk, I think. It is a nice day." She smiles.

[Aurora]

Shrugging, “Figured being honest was a good thing.” And she was at a point in her life where she didn’t care if she offended anyone.

“Should I learn I’m lying to myself, I’ll keep that in mind.” But she wasn’t lying to herself.

“Then walking it is.” Grabbing her keys off the counter, “It’s not that far, and it does look like it’ll be a nice day.”

Seems to be natural coming to a close, wanna wrap?

Phoenyx smiles. "That's all you can do. Can I leave my helmet here? It's unweildly to bring along."
