Mable’s mind was reeling. Just so much information. Her brain hasn’t felt the same since the aliens. Maybe when she talks with Twist she will mention it and see if Twist has any ideas.

But that wasn’t all. So many things like her “normal” friends weren’t normal. It did explain so much. But seriously, how weird. And Emily, what was she supposed to do? They needed to talk but that was sooo hard. Anxiety started to overwhelm her. She wanted to run away. She wanted to just run. Everything in her body said run and fight. Beast wanted blood.

Beast started to bay at the doors of her mind. Run and kill. That’s what we both want. She closed her eyes and pushed back. Beast quieted a little but not enough. Maybe she needed to go to the gym and pound a few sandbags. But she remembered she was trying to learn yoga and meditation. She put on some leggings and sports bra. Grabbed her yoga mat then set it down. Instead picked up her gym bag and jogged to the boxing gym.

Once there she gloved up and headed to the sandbags. She punched and kicked the bags like they were the devil and she was trying to send them back to hell. A voice behind her, “Babe, we haven’t seen you for a while. You here to fight tonight? You are still odds on favorite.”

Mable turned and looked at a mountain of a man with a permanent crooked nose. However, he did not have the caveman type forehead. It was actually a nice-looking face with sparkling gray eyes, and he had short reddish hair. Maybe she was starting to feel better. “Chris, hey, hi. Umm..no fight tonight. Sorry.”

He gently touched her cheek. “You okay babe? You look like somethings bothering you.” His tenderness felt odd to Mable. She knew what he was after. He used to be a frequent hook up. The question was, did she want one tonight?

Still debating, “Ya, well works been a bitch. I probably shouldn’t be trying to do so much. It’s getting tiring.” Well she was trying to also balance a girlfriend.

“We could go unwind…” He suggested, gesturing towards his office.

Mable shook her head. Her body wanted the sex. He had a great body. He looked awesome sweaty and naked. But she shook her head, what was that about? Emily. Crap. Emily was more than just sex. As much as she tried to keep it about sex, it wasn’t. Damn werewolf. Just when she thought she could keep it casual.

“Sorry, I gotta go. Just popped in for some quick physical work out that didn’t involve trees or the farm.” She hugged her … whatever he was and left.

At home she took out the yoga mat into the yard and stretched out her tired muscles.
