(PRP) Criminal Intent:Scene of the Crime

Rapture is a popular nightclub in a rough part of the city – a perfect place for vampires to feed. Edward has been given information from the Invictus Masquerade enforcer about a potential breach. The Masquerade enforcer also wants Edward to assemble the others that Mr. Kowalsic selected for the investigation and has mentioned them by name. Mr. Kowalsic also laid an allegation against a Court official, a pillar of the First Estate.
These sensitive topics should not be mentioned where these club - goers can hear this conversation. You don't want to cause a Breach yourself.

The alley behind Rapture stretches between two parallel streets. It’s full of loose paper armbands, ticket stubs, bottles and other trash accumulated from scores of drunk club - goers. Near the middle of the alley is a rusty green garbage bin, dented badly in the middle and punctured with a few holes. Torn yellow crime scene tape hangs limply from each side of the alleyway, the only indication that the police were ever here.

Time is of the essence - and it is ticking by fast.

What do you do? Who do you talk to? The club is in full swing. It is up to you to be the investigator and solve this big problem. Working as a team and using one's strengths is advised. Yet can you cooperate together?

Mable Wood Dirt Nap Edward Heinrich Horatio Quilz

I need an equipment lay out in your first post. What your character is wearing, what tools, or aids (money for bribes) that they have brought. I tagged every one signed up, yet Edward was given the task to assemble every one and distribute information.

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap wings his way to the neighborhood in owl form. He circles high above, wondering how many of the bats in the air are cousins, more than wondering in the case of any that do not have the Mask of Tranquility, as he does. And, as Mable will, he presumes.

He descends on silent, owl wings into the deepest darkness of the alley that he can find, and waits patiently, making completely sure he is unobserved before taking the shape of a man.

He has on a black cowboy hat, and a gingham shirt with a collar and a clean pair of black denim pants and cowboy boots. He has no equipment to speak of, except his phone.

In the still in the darkest part of the alley, he takes out his phone and dials back Mister Heinrich, the phone cupped in his hand to conceal the light of it. He sends a text.

Rapture was a club, so Mable grabbed a club dress. She was wearing a sexy green dress and heels. Her hair down in soft waves framing her face. Her pocketbook was silver and looked like it was made from beer can tabs.

She drove her truck there just in case they needed it for some reason. She went into the club and walked up to the bar and ordered a shot of Tequila. She knew better than walk around with a drink in a place like this. She checked her watch for messages.

Then took out her phone and typed to Edward, “I’m here at the bar. Where are you, Sweetheart?” To anyone watching she would look like she was just simply waiting for her date.

This wasn't her first time having to meet people out like this for an unknown reason and she wanted to be prepared. Phone and watch were on silent. Money was split between wallet and thigh. A few changes of clothes in the truck as well as the equipment to make bodies disappear. Plus the equipment that an electronics specialist told her about. She kept thinking about the trap that Lena had walked them into, hopefully this wasn't going to be one. Edward has never done anything to her to make her believe he would set her up.

She gave her head a shake and looked at her phone like she was getting impatient.

Equipment:
In Old Pickup Truck: Work Items- Tarps, Saws, Shovels, Rope, Hooks, fertilizer and Lime. Camping gear-Tent, Lantern, Flashlight, and Hunting Knife, Clothes- dressy and work, notebooks, pens, forestry questionnaires and clip boards, small work tablet with internet/wifi access.

Pocketbook: Lipstick, Chapstick, Small aerosol hairspray, Lighter, Matches, hair elastics, bobby pins, safety pins, wallet with State ID and City Employee ID, $50, Victoria’s secret credit card, Business cards, Cell Phone

In a travel band around her upper thigh was another $300 just in case of emergency. On her wrist was a green bracelet watch phone that connected to a little earpiece.

[Horatio Quilz]

Horatio throws a couple bags into his Jeep and lets Daemon hop in and clicks him into a belt, he grabs one of his service dog vests and jumps in the driver seat to head off to the club.

Arriving at the club, Horatio finds a spot nearby to park the Jeep. He gets out and unclips Daemon, puts his vest on and tells him to stay as he heads for the club. Horatio looks back to the open Jeep before heading into the club for a drink. Straightening his waist coat over his shirt, he checks his jeans for his money clip before going to order a old fashion. Sending a text to Edward on his smart watch <Here> before scanning the room for any familiar faces. He spots one and homes in on her bringing his drink with him.
"Well, fancy meeting you here. Miss Mable, Am I correct?"

One Jeep, two bags(One contains folding shovel, tarp, 200ft paracord and assorted camping gear. The second has a gun, couple whittled wooden stakes and wakizashi sword with ammo and Kevlar vest), money clip with $500 in cash, pocket knife, smart watch and smart phone, waist coat with white dress shirt and some jeans, Horatio's retainer Daemon, and zippo with a pack of cigarettes

..tells him to stay. Is Horatio bringing the dog or leaving him at the Jeep wearing a service dog vest? The dog isn't going to be admitted to the club.

[Edward Heinrich]

A few texts are fired off from the backseat of an Uber.
Mable: "omw Lovely <3"
Dirt Nap: "Meet by the bar."
Horatio: "Meet by the bar."

Edward stepped out of the car, thanking the driver. He stood opposite to the club, sporting a simple black blazer, white dress shirt, and jeans; cane in hand. He otherwise carried his phone and a wallet with a couple hundred in bills.
A sigh escaped Edward, an action once again automatic with blood coursing through his veins. Why was it always a nightclub? This was why he avoided them: too much chaos, too many eyes.

Luckily the Beast made locating his fellow investigators straightforward. "Starting without me!" Edward laughed, "am I that late?"
Then once he was closer: "Sorry to call you out on company business so suddenly. We'll get started once Clayton arrives, I imagine it'll only be a moment."

He ordered a beer, then settled in back to the bar, idly scanning for eye contact from other club goers. Anyone too curious?

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap resists the urge to do some investigating on his own, maybe as a coyote to sniff out details of what happened recently in that alley, or maybe asking some of the local animals. Could be big waste of time, haring off on his own bunny trail before he gets the details. He's probably only tempted to put off going into the club anyway. He doesn't much enjoy places with lots of potential for foolishness. Young men in numbers and alcohol is a perfect recipe for things getting out of hand. He had foolishly thought--probably subconsciously hoped--that 'by the bar' meant outside, and adjacent to the building, not inside and next to the specific area dispensing drinks. Or maybe it was just his literal mind tripping him up. That had certainly been known to happen.

Dirt Nap walks cautiously towards the club, intending to enter it and locate the bar to meet Edward.

[Mable Wood]

She smiles at Horatio as her beast settles back down, "Hi, how are you? Great seeing you again. And just Mable is fine."

Edward entered, her beast spiked again. When he got closer she gave him a warm smile. "Hi sweets, I had one shot. I could use another." She gave a nod to the bartender.

"Oh so, our friend here was not just a chance meeting?" She says to Edward, "Nice." She downed the second shot. "And Clay is joining us?" She looks around and spots him near the entrance. "Oh looks like he is here."

[Horatio Quilz]

Horatio smiles back. "Of course. I am well, and yourself?" He checks his watch and sees the message from Edward, just as he puts his hand down he catches sight of Edward and gives a wave. His beast tries but fails in its howling tonight, especially since he had been in contact with them once before.

He gives a hearty smile and chuckle at Edward before holding up his glass. "Not too late to catch up." Tilting his head while listening to the exchange between the two and he gives a showmanship Ta Da with his arms at the mention of 'chance meeting'.
At the mention of Dirt Nap, Horatio glances over to the entrance and gives him a slight wave. "I am sure we are most needed outside but we should keep up a casual appearance though and have a drink or two. Do you agree Mr. Heinrich? It's your show." Horatio says in a low voice, so as to not be heard by outside listeners.

[Edward Heinrich]

"Shot's already? Damn, I feel old," Edward laughed. Taking the ordered beer, he flashes a grin to Mable: "All planned, all planned." He clinks his glass with Horatio's own before downing half of it with apparent ease.

"That he is" Edward nodded to Mable, before turning back to Horatio as offer his suggestion. Edward clapped the Dragon on the back with a boyish simper, "you've convinced me, cheers." Edward finished his drink before turning back to order another.

"I think a smoke sounds about right after another round, some damn nice alley's around this place. You wouldn't mind keeping us company, would you, Mable?"

"Clayton! Good to see you, man. Wanna grab a beer on me quick? We were just about to go for a smoke."

But all through Edward's eyes, the focus is on the periphery. Anyone paying too much attention to little 'ole us?
