(Broken Cycle) Firing Squad

[Sonnie Wu]

"You probably can't eat another one anyway. Gobbo fruits only work one at a time," the Beast called from the kitchen, "I mean, you could eat more, but they won't do anything magical. You gotta wait a while before they'll do their hocus pocus again. Least an hour, I think. Weird rules, right? It's like the Wyrd doesn't want us healing up too fast."

Unfortunate, but it did keep things interesting.

The water was boiling, and the Monkey had stuffed a couple of towels into the pot. She stirred it occasionally with her quarterstaff.

"Ow, ow! Hot hot hot!" came some soft grumbling from the kitchen. A minute later, Sonnie came out and walked to the sky bed, with two damp, steaming towels hanging off of her Hedgespun staff, which she held horizontally like it was a clothesline.

"Ready, Doctor!" she smiled. "Man, I wish I had a sexy nurse's costume right now." Sadly, Halloween was still many weeks away.

[Seraphina]

Blinking a few times as she listens, “Wait, what?” don’t panic?!

And Sonnie could bind her if she moved?! “Bind me?!”

No. This was not ok.

“No.” fear and panic creeping into her voice, as bits of memories began to fill her mind. The Nix started to shudder with fear as image after image flashed. Head shaking as she tries to push them away, “No.” she had little to no strength, but she still tried to move away.

Thorn shackles around her wrists as her very skin was cut and peeled away. Replaced over and over again. Silver one time, gold another.

Shaking her head still, tears spilling,

“I will not be held down for anything. Please, leave me alone.” Pleads the Treasured.

[Titania]

This is more than she had bargained for, it was also the reason why patients were sedated.
"Please, bring me those towels and keep her immobilized", she says flatly.

The Beast passed off the hot towels over to the Bright One, but Sera's fearful reaction to the idea of being restrained concerned her.

"Ummm," she looked back and forth between the two Fairest, "I don't think she's into being tied down in bed. Rhodes' loss, I guess. Can't we clean her wounds without holding her down?"

[Seraphina]

Hearing the words made the memories flash even more, and the Nix tries to make herself smaller. Trying to pull her knees to her chest, but the pain prevents her from being successful.

Panic sets into her eyes, as she looks around, but doesn’t really see. Her eyes are focused elsewhere.

“Don’t let Them tie me down again.” She whispers.

The gin is for disinfecting but she wishes she could have just chugged down the bottle.
She's not a surgeon, she's studying the secrets of the human brain instead, that's why she's severely lacking in the upper arms strength department. In search of an ally she looks at Sonnie, but the beast had casted her lot with the Queen.
"Have it your way then, but I won't be responsible if you move while I try to mend your wounds and you end up worse for it", of course Sera is intoxicated, her words are more for Sonnie's benefit than the Queen's own.

The Nix was still trying to cower in the sky bed.

But she hears Sonnies words, and nods at her, yes. Don’t tie her down. Don’t make her relive that.

And as the posh voice of Titania is heard, she relaxes. Well, as much as one can relax with her wounds. But she doesn’t fight them, and will try and lay still for Titania.

"It's called a bedside manner, Ellie. Google it." It didn't take an psychic to see how terrified Sera was at the idea of being restrained. Every Lost had their triggers. Sonnie was aware of her own, even if she couldn't really do much about them. The least she could do was not pull on Sera's.

Instead, she sat down on the edge of the bed and held a hand out to the frightened Nix, "You can hold my hand while Starlight helps you. Is that cool?" The Beast offered a reassuring smile. Maybe this would help keep the Spring Queen from moving around much, without having to pin her down.

[Titania]

"This is not a game. Look at me, am I laughing or smiling?", she deadpans, "No. That's because I'm not joking. Let's start now, we've already wasted too much time", it's a rare display of callousness from her. But somebody had to act like a grownup.
