With a soft laugh Chris shakes his head and eyes the pole on more time. With a mutter under his breath the Talon looks down at his not clawed hands and does his best to climb the utility pole.
"I swear if those lines actually have a charge in them." Is uttered to the air as Chris tries to climb.

Wolves are not known for the deft climbing abilities, but man climbed down from trees as the stories go. He scampers up the poll, his attention focused on the task at hand. Reaching the top he notices the bulging cocoon of web pulse weakly, something inside is still fighting to escape.
Tiny's eyes are good, and with his encouragement Emiliy's eyes spot the vibrations as well, and then the tiny black dots that begin to stream out of the web further down the line. It's a thin line at first glance, but within the space of a breath it doubles in width, and then doubles again.

Tiny's, there has to be a sarcastic prick somewhere in that story, warning and then Emily's reach Chris as he takes a solid grip at the top of the pole. Heights...not like this no. With a glance at the ground Chris shakes his head and focuses on the pulsing cocoon.
<<Apologies>> Is said loudly to the cocooned thing. Maybe it won't be super pissed off about this. Then Chris punches at the webbing around the cocoon trying to break it free.

<<Little ones coming first.>> Tiny growls, pawing at the ground. He barks at the oncoming horde: <<Abandon this place, unwind your webs, retreat/rout and we will not follow. Fight, and we will rip-tear-shread the last strand.>>
This was his first interaction with spirits in the area. Shartha were spirits, and so he had to show himself this way to all the spirits. Offering an option, however reprehensible. There would always be a choice for the spirits. And by offering to the shartha, even the most desperate spirit would know that there was another way. At worst, it would be foolish. At best, maybe some other spirit would negotiate instead of fight, and that might save one wolf's life.
Tiny lines himself up to pounce on the first of the horde.

Chris withdraws his hand from the cocoon of webbing, a pulsing text prompt, so thin it is barely visible in it's state but almost as tall as Chris himself, comes blinking out of the bio-spirit food storage system. Trained eyes of the pack watch it fall to the grown slowly, like a blade of grass on a still day.
As the swarm moves down the webs, drawing closer to Chris a buzz rises from them like a thousand angry flies. <Our meal. Our web. Are you to offering to be our new meal little wolf. We accept.> Tiny offers choice and the swarm pauses, tiny movements, a spider rubs it's front legs together here, a spider extends and retracts it's venomous fangs there, show the swarms agitation. <We will abandon this place as you request, child of Wolf. But must have payment for stolen meal. We will take this one, fair trade.>

SiteEmily stares at the encroachign aracnids, heckles rising in silvery fur as she growls angrily Tiny's attempt was certainly worth a try, but the Ithaeur had spent too long fighting the Azlu. It was ingrained in her.
