Lenora Phones Jacque

[Lenora]

And so it was that the appointed date for her phone call with Jacque had come to be.

Being as practical and prudent as she was, Lenora had meticulously arranged her schedule to ensure she was available well before the time she had selected to call the Whip. The time itself was deliberate, numbering some few hours past her own awakening in the evening, ensuring that her cousin had an abundance of time to ready himself for the night and to feed.

Her own needs seen to, Lenora came to her living room and sat herself and, once the time had come, she deftly picked her phone from it's place and dialed the Lord.

*ring, ring*

[Jacque]

Jacque smiled, being conscious of the time and the impending call, "Hello, this is Jack." ​

[Lenora]

"Good evening, Jack, this is Lenore," said the Priscus, "Your evening is well, I trust?"

She'd allow a pause to grant Jacque the opportunity to respond.

"I am pleased to have caught you," she offered, "You recall my desire to arrange a meeting at the beginning of the month? It is quite overdue, I'm sure you agree."

[Jacque]

"It is, and to you as well," he offered in salutation.

"I do, but I also know all too well that delays are almost inevitable for one reason or another." A brief pause to let the statement sink, "Did you have a place in mind? I believe it is your turn to choose." Of course the conversation wasn't anticipated to be overly pleasant, but offering the Priscus home field advantage was an olive branch to smooth off the edge.

Being that Jack will no longer be Herald as of May 1st I'm avoiding using his office to help with continuity.

[Lenora]

A pleased hum sounds on the other end as Jacque speaks amicably.

Reconciliation remained necessary, but if the Lord's tone spoke to anything it seemed that he remained open to it despite Lenora's misstep.

"For the purposes of familiarity, I believe the usual conference room will prove more than adequate," Lenora offered, "Does [date] at [time] align with your availability?"

[Jacque]

Jacque side-eyed away from the phone. No sense of adventure. But perhaps an adventure was best suited for the next conversation anyway. "Of course. I look forward to it." He waits to hear anything Lenore wished to add before hanging up.

[Lenora]

"As do I, Jack," Lenora replied, "Enjoy you're evening."

Lenora says, concluding the call. Then she hangs up and lingers in her chair.

A small memory hits of their previous meeting and, with a slight smile, Lenora begins her plans for the evening to come.
