(2004) Consilium - Venus in Converse

[Kaze]

Kaze arrives wearing mostly his usual ensemble of gray solid shirt under brown leather jacket and black trousers and athletic shoes. He has some more water bottles and trail mix bags in his jacket pockets than usual, in case he gets escorted right to someplace without snacks.

"Hi," the young apostate says in a chastened tone to the people already assembled. Then he notices the new person. "Um, Kaze. Apostate. Obrimos." He says smiling to try to avoid seeming rude for his succinct introduction.

Kaze moves to find a seat, apparently prepared for an extended session of sitting quietly and listening carefully.

[Campanella]

Campanella arrives quietly. He is dressed in one of his suits: a steel grey one this time, which he wares with a cavalier air. He is adjusting the handkerchief in his breast pocket as he arrives, glancing up and clocking the faces old and new.

Slick grey Glyphs dance in his aura: Armouring and Sight rotes.

"Campanella, Moros of the Mysterium. Welcome," he intones formally as he passes Naga in the hunt for a seat. Eventually, he finds a spot near Winter . Star also receives a formal nod; the Duel is still close in time.

[Phoenyx]

Boots clack on the floor outside and Phoenys strides inside briskly in her regular attire of loose pants, red workout top, tenchcoat, gun and knives. Seeing the people gathering around and hail of introductions over what can be assumed to be a new face behind the wall of other mages, she slips over to Aurora. "Hi," she says simply.

Star is given a respectful nod, over in his chair, as is Winter should eyes meet. Anyone that looks her way is given a tentative head movement of recognition. Kaze and Briar Rose are both given tiny smiles. You have to watch the corners of her mouth to catch them.

Otherwise the Arrow just seeks to avoid the babble, and get caught in the undertow of flippant conversation.

[Winter]

Are Aurora and Briar content with being represented by this person? He resolves to ask them later, an impolite thought perhaps, but a meritorious one nonetheless.
With the Arrival of the former Hierarch and the other Mastigos - both acknowledged alongside the Firebird with a solemn nod - only one Councillor seat remains untaken. Both Acanthus are missing. Kaze is there as well, his presence only makes Shodan's non-attendance more glaring.

This guy finds hair care super interesting.

This mop isn't naturally gloriously insouciant. It's natural state is akin to a Brillo pad or Chia Pet, curls gone crazy like an Abyssal manifestation. Even Ryan Phillipe cuts his hair short. Lips part at Campanella's nod, because super important question to ask, but the mop of interest just bobs in return when it's clear Councilors going to Council. Similar bobs are offered to B-Ro and Hooked On Phoenyx before he digs a pear out of his pack.

[Aurora]

Spotting her fellow Shaman, Aurora offers a small smile and nod. She really needed to reach out to her soon and get together.

Most respected Aurora? Seriously dude? Then happy spring tidings? What was it with this guy? But she still acknowledges his words with a small nod. But that was all. He still didn’t sit right with her.

“It’ll be great to have a Ladder around, welcome.” Her tone a little more friendly. Then a snort, “Just wait until the onion comes out.” Still weird as fuck and still a problem she needed to address.
When Pixel enters, he gets a wave and smile. He seemed like a good kid.

Hearing Kaze say he was an Apostate was odd. He’d always been an Arrow. What the hell happened there? But she still waves.

Not seeing Campy enter wearing his robes was weird. Maybe there had been some sort of comfort in knowing he led them? But, it was what it was now. So she smiles and nods.

Looking up to see Phoenyx, “Hi yourself.” A bit more relaxed at the presence of the Arrow.

[Abacus]

The Acanthus Councilor is dressed simply in a suit and tie. When he walks into the Circle, he carries no mark of his magick, no flicker of calculation or glyph. He is composed. He began to think that maybe he could get used to this. He had to. The weight of purpose was beginning to nestle against his neck and his shoulders, rather than press or constrict.

The familiar faces of Sacramento's Wise all receive the same small smile. "Hello."

And then the new face. Unfamiliar. Still, he gives the newly acknowledged Awakened a small wave. Order? Path?

"Welcome to the Circle of Creation. I am Abacus, Councilor representing the Lunargent Thorn. Ordo Mysterium."

[Anima]

Naga's question is received with a broad grin, "Well of course. I grow more than I can consume myself, a gift from another living being should be celebrated and enjoyed."

Pixel's arrival and introduction is greeted with friendly nod. "Pixel! You have a new path member present. This is Naga, joining us from the city of Angeles."

Kaze receives a polite nod and sympathetic smile. Then the floodgates open as a wave of the cities mages take up residence in the nave.

Aurora brings up the onion in the room Anima offers a humble nod of acknowledgement, he's already apologized now he can only plunge forward.

Abacus enters and the councilors are all convened. "Happy Spring Tidings Abacus! Councilor Pixel, do you require a moment with Naga before we plunge into our agenda?" Official business time hinges on Pixel's response.

[Naga]

Memorize the faces and shadow names. Remember the Paths and Orders (or lack thereof). Know the players in this drama.

"As Counsilor Anima says," she spoke not to anyone in particular, but all of those who had so quickly introduced themselves to her in the last few brief moments, "I am Naga, Warlock of the Silver Ladder, recently of L.A. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

Inquisitive eyebrows raised at Aurora's onion comment. An inside joke she wasn't privy to? So be it. "Thanks. It's good to hear that."

To Pixel, she turned her focused attention. "Good to meet you, especially. I hope we can talk in the near future." She glanced toward Anima, then back to her fellow Iron Gauntlet. Naga had nothing of consequence to discuss with him at this very moment, but she waited for the Mastigos Counsilor to say if he felt the need.

Thus, she remained patiently quiet.

[Pixel]

He smiles and waves as people continue to poor in. He smirks at the onion comment and finally nods to Anima.

"Yeah, just one thing real quick."

His attention returns to Naga one more time.

"We can meet later, but do you have an improvised spell I can ID? Just something quick so if mages show up brainwashed I can vouch it's not you. I'll leave a note or something later for when we can meet and actually get to know each other."
