Jaw clenches and unclenches and clenches again. The Rahu is trying really hard to keep things nice and civil in front of their totem. Here they are, being gifted with a manifested visit from their totem, and everyone is giving this Iminir more attention than Necessary Guile and of course the Storm Lord was eating that attention up. Being all... Storm Lordy. Nikolai is known for his cunning, but he sure was failing to demonstrate it here.

Somewhere in or around town another Necessary Guile has been sitting patiently, o so patiently, staring, o so deeply, at Nathaniel Dormur . Waiting.

Nathaniel can join straight into the thread as though Guile found him in time to join the meeting.

Ever since he'd made his Protective Charm, Nathaniel had wondered how their totem would react. Just another little worry gnawing at his mind and...Did his charm just hum now? Wait was that?...

And now here he was, holding the protective charm in his palm, listening to the debacle- lost in his thoughts. A new wolf. Another argument- noise, yes. He agreed with the totem there.

It was an admission of need, on the one hand. On the other, their situation wasn't ideal- they had to deal with the Pure, and the rats would make that VERY difficult to focus on.

He was just trying to be helpful- and trying to keep his ideas simple, considering his past attempts and conceptions had tended to delve into extremes. But talking and currying favor with spirits? That was just crescent business plain and simple.

There's a lessoned to be learned here, one about manners and respect. Not that any of that really matters, everyone feels pretty tough until they get popped in the mouth. There would be no emotion, not even when Bleeds Well walloped him in the face. Nikolai’s was stoic stone. There was only the force of the blow, followed by a deep crack as his jaw was displaced and quickly realigned with a resounding snap.


Nikolai was learning. But it wasn’t the lesson Bleeds Well wanted to teach him.

Anger. Now that was a strong teacher. How it flared in the eyes of those hell bent on proving their mettle. Self-righteous pride focused on drilling into someone how wrong they were. But there would be no fury, for his frustrations lied with their frozen tongues and useless countenances.
