(Purgatory) Good Intentions

[Bleeds Well]

A nervous looking hishu Bleeds Well sits on the railroad tracks, skipping pebbles along the steel surface. A freshly caught Rainbow Trout lays at his feet, partly eaten, midsection torn open by fangs, body worried by claws. Occasionally Bleeds Well reaches down and tears a small piece off with his fingers and pops it into his mouth, as he waits for the pack.

The tone is a somber one as the last rays of Luna fade. How appropriate that the crescent is giving way to the new moon, as the pack gathers to discuss the dark events that occurred at the Shoal.

[Matt Joule]

Matt arrives in jeans and a black tee shirt, looking disgusted. "Hey." He says without ceremony.

[Hector]

Hector has a new jumper (a multi coloured, home-made, woollen) and odd shoes. Oddly, perhaps, he arrives clean shaven and the sight of his naked jaw is... shocking.

The Alpha's face has a reflective, haunted, cast to it; as though the Cahalith had been giving himself over to much brooding.

He arrives with the same lack fo ceramony as Matt Joule and squats on the train tracks opposite Bleeds Well . His eyes slink greedily over the trout, yet he asks for nothing. The kill, after all, belongs to the hunter.

[Brigit]

Brigit arrives wearng the same clothes she wore during the battle. They are more tattered and dirty and her blond hair is somewhat disheveled, with an errant twig or two.

More telling though is the Talon's vacant stare and the small trail of crimson on her lips.

When she arrives, her empty gaze travels over her packmates before eventually settling on an empty spot on periphery. Walking over to it, she seats herself, facing away from the pack. Absently, her fingers raise to her mouth, rubbing off the bloody smudge before dragging her fingers in the dirt.

Brigit's Harmony is now 4 following the failure of the Harmony roll requested by Mark.

[Emily Makerith]

Emily is stalking back and forth, muttering angrily. "Why couldn't we wait? Decay Dust isn't that hard to make. I should have stayed there. I just don't want Brigit to do anything..." the Crescent falters as the former Pure makes her way up to the rest of the pack.

The Crescent folds her arms, scowling. She can't look Brigit in the eyes.

[Bleeds Well]

Matt gets a , "S' up"

Bleeds Well sees the hungry look in Hector's eyes and nods towards the fresh fish. The survivalist is a different sort of vagabond, and looks like he's never wanted for a meal.

He glances over at the distant Brigit, then at Emiliy, unsure of what happened, hesitant to ask.

"The child is home safe."

He casts a look around to his pack.

"What now?"

[Brigit]

Brigit heard the words of Ithaeur. Her regret for not staying while Brigit did her work. Her proposed solution...

"I... I did what needed to be done?" she said, the tremble in her voice clearly speaking of her uncertainty and the latent signs of a madness born from a time before salvation, "Right?"

A desperate glance is offered over her shoulder, but she sees Bleeds Well's hesitance. However, it was Emily's aversion that hurt the most. Water wells in Brigit's eyes as she realizes the true weight of her sin. Her want to protect the Pack had been to hasty - and it would cost her dearly.

The stain spreads.

The emotional pain is palpable on the Once-Pure's face before she turns back away from the pack. Pulling her knees close, Brigit wraps her arms around them and buries her face. The Redeemed's form shakes, given over as it was to remorse and fear. Would the Pack turn her away?

They would be justified.

Her choice to eat the slain Tommy was born from thoughts akin to an abomination. It mattered not if a greater good was intended.
