The doctor bounds down the stairs two at time, odd jangling, shaking, and rattling coming from his large, black doctor's bag as it jostles. He makes it to the kitchen, checking for a gas stove. As he hollers up the answer, he checks that his latex gloves are still secure, grabs a tin can from the bag of groceries and throws it in the microwave. Before starting it up he whispers harshly in high speech, grabbing his small knife from the bag he uses the handle to punch the numbers on the timer. In his rush and frustration he has trouble forming the Imago in his mind clearly, he has to take a moment to breath then, using mana to build the imago he forces it into being.
He draws a sharp intake of breath as he absorbs paradox into his pattern causing a painful stitch in his side like a new runner training for a mile. As the pain hits the world comes into super focus. His heartbeat fills his ears, he hears the grass growing outside, he can smell his own blood rushing through his veins, everything, even the pain is super intense as the Imago snaps into being. He is the ultimate predator of Primal Wild and the prey it is devouring all at once. He exists in crystal clarity for a moment alive. He pushes on as he rouses the spirit of the microwave.
He speaks to it quietly in the Spirit Tongue.
"Alright buddy, you're going to radiate the shit out of that can, you're a badass piece of tech that proves sleepers make miracles. Burn baby burn, make a disco inferno in your belly. Through the material, through twilight, and should you burn so bright you burn yourself out here, burn beyond the gauntlet. Burn it all."
He hits the start button and heads for the door. "I did a thing! Let's go!"
Dox chance die, 1 success taken as rB spell rolls 2 Success on Rouse Spirit, 3 success on Spirit tongue
Anima races downstairs into the kitchen.
He checks the stove. Definitely a gas model and sets to work. Sure enough he finds a metal container suited to his needs and slams it into the microwave.
As with the door, the Roused microwave doesn't look any different but under his Spirit Sight seems... more solid.
Kaze nods at Phoenyx's direction, remembering his assignment and shadows Anima, moving right behind him and prepared to shield the shaman's back with his own body if necessary! He keeps right on Anima's back, following him out of the house if Anima makes it.
clarification
There wasn't enough time.
It's times like this he wishes he'd spent more time learning to sift through the shimmering spray of colors; not to just See, but to understand. They're just seeing the rabbit. Not the hat. Not the magician. They'r just the audience that's arrived too late. Lips part and work as his brow furrows, trying to put what he's got to say into words, but then Anima is yelling downstairs.
Side note? File under: why angels need to be the ones that play with fire.
"Okay, fair? But that's a spirit problem," he finally said. The chinchilla knows just enough about Spirits to know that. "So what happens when we KFC the Black Widow and it just moves on to a new, uh, host?"
Because this really feels like killing the victim and not the perp, yo.
But he's not one to find out what 'a thing' means to Anima, and so, with a shrug, he casually leans and rolls out of the window into a practiced tumble.
Star exits the second story window they came in through, assuming Cat Leap's auto success is sufficient.
Phoenyx turns and stares as the Thyrsus belts down the stairs, All I asked was 'is there a gas line'...
She begins looking at the viscous matter distastefully, before the shouting starts.
Did a thing??
She turns back to Star for his words, the other Obrimos already through the hole in the wall and heading back out the window with notable nimbleness. "....fuck." The Arrow looks at Morgan - everyone else has left. "Out. Now."
Already being at the stairs, Phoenyx makes down them for the front door at full speed.
There are stair people, and then there are window people. In other words, there are some people that like doing things in different ways, often difficult ways, and Morgan was definitely one of those people.
"Peace!" Morgan called to Phoenyx before following after Star and throwing herself out the window.
Defenestration, motherfuckers.
2 successes
All is movement.
Anima sets off, a heavy sweat breaking out on his skin as the effects of his heavy spells take their toll now the Shaman is moving quickly. With Kaze in tow, he slips a little and careens from wall to wall, out into the street by the front door through which he came.
Phoenyx follows just behind, bounding down the stairs and bouncing on right out of the house.
Morgan canons clumsily out of the bedroom, crashes onto the back extension and slides off, onto the ground, in an undamaged yet ungainly muddle.
Star simply bounds backwards into the bedroom, folds through the window, and flows effortlessly across the extension and down into the back yard.
Morgan and Star catch a glimpse of the... creature... silently leaping onto the landing. If the Illusionist had not moved when he had, he could have been in real strife. Apparently undaunted, the being hurls itself silently after the Arrow as she vanishes down the stairs...
And from the kitchen comes the sound of an incredibly anaemic explosion.
Then silence.
Been checking over posts and while the microwave was set up, nothing was indicated about the stove apart from Anima checking that it was a gas burning model.

The Shaman hits the street and purposefully walks toward his jeep, releasing the no longer needed Spirit Tongue and Spirit Sight from his pattern. He wipes the sweat from his brow with a gloved hand, he pulls the glove off, inside out, trapping the sweat in a practiced maneuver and tosses the gloves inside his bag. Startled he looks back, wide-eyed,at the house as it shakes.

Kaze makes sure Anima is safely clear and then looks back and around trying to spot the other mages to make sure they’re all out and ok or identify if anyone is missing or hurt, and also looking around for any freaky spider monsters, either big ones or little ones!
