Phoenyx: Steel doors shut behind your back. For a moment you think that whatever is outside furiously pounding against the thick metal sheets might be able to barge through, but the button blinks and followed by a pinging sound the elevator slowly begins its ascent.
The adrenaline subsides, affording you a much needed space to breath. You don't know how long it lasts, but a static screech coming from the speakers suddenly interrupts your meditation - unintelligible gibberish hushed in a womanly voice - then abruptly, the transmission is overwritten by the voice of a man.
"Damn, took me a while to chip in. Didn't think you would have made it in time though. Alright, nice!"

Kaze: Try as you might, you're still unable to see past your nose. You can feel their flesh and bones against yours though, the wetness too, the room smells of copper, it's the same smell that accompanies your shifts in the ER. Beneath you, the body writhe and swerve like a gangly spiderweb. Little motes of light begin collecting at your feet.

Shodan: The laughter seems to originate from the hallway on the left. Hugging the wall like you are, you can only perceive a flickering shadow. A silhouette. It's definitely coming from the hallway.
The room springs back to life with the random buzz of chat and the clinking of toasting glasses. You can almost feel the lingering presence of the patrons around. [give me a meditation roll]

Kaze tries to focus on the smell and feel, on his senses, hoping it is real. He moves slowly, feeling his way out from the mass of broken humanity underneath him, trying to find a boundary, a wall or floor to feel along for a door or passage.

Phoenyx: The voice reverberates through the cabin as it rises through the concrete innards of the building.
"Chill with the sarcasm, Gong-Li. I'm the guy who saved your life, would appreciate a bit of gratitude", a red blimp - like the back of a ladybug - springs the panel of the intercom back to life shifting your vision to red. "I can see what's going on from here, but whatever is triggering this, is now trying to hijack comms."


Kaze: You push and push, and soon - not without a lot of effort - you manage to disentangle your feet from their deadly lock and reach a wall. You feel the panel, trying to look for a switch. Above your head, motes of light float, reaching for the chasm you precipitated from.

Shodan: In the bustling sounds you find a little of solace. There are people around, it couldn't be that bad you decide. But the more you stand idle and listen, the more the whole situation feels surreal. It's one of those cases where observation is defied by feelings, gut instinct. How does the scientific method test the existence of things that cannot be perceived physically, like black holes? Definitely like a black hole, you feel the metaphysical pressure against your skin, the weight enclosing around and pushing you deeper.
The laughter - the lure of the Sirine's call - prompts you to examine the darkened corridor. Danger, after all, has its allure.

Kaze stays quiet, moves slowly and cautiously, ignores what he can see for now and focuses on his sense of touch, feeling along the wall for a catch or door or other irregularity, trying to judge if he is feeling around back to where he started.

Kaze: you feel something under your touch, it's damp and soft. Maybe you could push against it, cave a hole, see if you can find a switch. But it could be dangerous.
