Rhode's charm.

Some combination of three melted the cold edge of her smile.

Or, more likely, it was Asa and his suggestion.

Accepting Sonnie's invitation, her fingertips traced the brush strokes of painted fur and she flashed an impish grin at her, or maybe the whole group, "We can discuss clothing later."

Waiving her free hand airly, her other still busy tracing fur, she waived over the choice of what to drink to the one buying and took a step toward Asa and the promise of dancing. The pressure of fingertips a silent invitation to Sonnie, but one easily declined should she wish to linger with Sera and her adventure seeking boyfriend.

It wouldn't be the first time Asa would have to dance with two. But even if the playful girl stayed, Twist wasn't complaining. It had been forever after all.

[Sonnie Wu]

"Not if you're wearing a bikini," The Beast nodded to Seraphina, laughing."Red is good. Maybe blue like that old movie? Oh! Or black, like that one sexy song?"

Then she grinned at Rhodes, "Well, aren't you just the gentleman pirate?"

Twist and her sensual stroking appreciation of Sonnie's costume had gone on for longer than she expected. Not that she objected. What sort of Spring Courtier would she be if she didn't enjoy the little pleasures in life? As it was, she tried not to giggle and reveal she felt kind of ticklish.

The invitation was noticed, and the monkey girl watched the pair wander over to the dance floor with a curious look. She contemplated the idea while she drank the rum and coke in her hand. Shame to let it go to waste, after all.

The same was true of the dancing invitation! Setting her now empty glass down on the bar, she slid out to the crowd.

Despite her obvious natural agility, Sonnie's initial attempt at dancing was... not good. Mainly she was doing the wrong sort of dance for this particular music, and was totally out of sync. Energetic when grace was called for. Not that she cared. She was having fun!

[Lenora]

Lenora didn't register that another had approached her, ingrained in some quiet thought. Then her periphery noted Nathaniel Dormur and the tail end of his words, prompting a smile from masked woman.

The smile was cordial and matched with a soft voice as equally polite, albeit lacking somewhat in sultry embellishment.

"Thank you, Mr.-?" she offered, granting the young man a chance to announce his name. "In today's age its a wonder what one can find on the web, though I'm pleased to say it comes from a single artisan rather than something less... personal."

At the comments of her garment Lenora's pupiless black gaze falls to the monkey and ringmaster, granting the pair a simple wink and a mouthed 'Yes.' She was wearing velvet and it was indeed soft and comfortable. And expensive, but such was the price for quality.

[Nathaniel Dormur]

"Dormur. Nathaniel Dormur." Now was the time for an outstretched hand, and a smile behind the mask. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to recommend the creator? I've always wanted to get into making such things." His research into Spirit Vessels and Fetishes ongoing, Nathaniel knew that eventually he'd need to learn ho to properly design those homes and prisons suitable. As it stood, his skills were mediocre. "And I do like masks- it always amazes me how much talent this city holds." A hint that he was new, or at least not long in the area. Granted the pup was adjusting well; though the beginning of College life had opened up entirely new possibilities

As they talk Nathaniel can't help but look well... Everywhere else. Especially at her response to Sonnie and Seraphina. "So... What were your plans tonight? I haven't been here before, and I'm kind of at a loss of what to... Do?" Whether the meaning implied that he'd been to other clubs but not this one, or that he was totally clueless, was up for interpretation.

[Seraphina]

Sapphires simply watch the interaction between Rhodes and the Mary Poppin’s duo as she sips her water.

A shrug of a single shoulder, “What can I say? I’m a sucker for his charm.” She replies with a smirk. “And you could always try to object.” Teases the Treasured.

Leaning against him, “Oh I am?” she whispers back, “Now you have me curious.” Which was a dangerous thing for a Spring.

As the handsome charmer decides dancing was first, the Nix smiles and nods. They looked like a fun and interesting couple, maybe she’d get to talk to them later.

“A velvet bikini?” a thoughtful look, “I could see it and you totally need to get one now! But I’m partial to blue, or even red myself. Both which would look amazing on you.” But it would be a bitch to dry.

Laughing, “He always is.” A sweet smile offered to the Dread Lord.

And like that, Sonnie was off! Amusement was on her face as she watched the monkey dance, kind of. But she still smiled, cause it was Sonnie and she was great.

The wink was caught from the comely woman clad in velvet Lenora , and returned. Her glass raised to her. An invitation of sorts.

[Asa]

A polite wave and smile was offered as they moved out into the dancing throng -- it widened when Sonnie joined them. He hadn't been exaggerating. It had felt like forever, and he slid out onto the wooden floor with a rush of anticipation that verged on giddiness.

"Cara mia." They were definitely doing a Gomez and Morticia some year.

He pulled the Daeva close into the sensual, slow sway of a tango; finding the beat, hearing it throb like a vein in invitation. Asa spun her into a more open swing dance full of lavish spins and twirls before reaching out a hand for the monkey to join them.

Well, Lenora's response, which she managed to catch as she headed to the dance floor, certainly made Sonnie laugh.

But now was not the time for laughing. Oh no! Now was the time... FOR DANCING!

The tango? Is that what they were doing? Did she know the tango? Well, one way to find out.

The girl in the flying monkey costume was doing much better now that she was following an actual dance style. Asa's guidance certainly helped, it seemed, as she accepted the offered hand while a smile! Sonnie was pulled into the stylish motions!

It may have been forever, but from the way that Twist melded into Asa's tango, not even the harshest critic would be able to tell. So much about what they were was in that dance.

As he spun her out, the move opening up their duet into a threesome, she again followed, the steps oh so familiar. But if there was any ache at it being a nimble blue monkey who completed the trio and not her, it was hidden in the spin of white lace.

Laughing, the delighted sound weaving in with the music, Twist danced with a dashing chimney sweep and a monkey and loved it.

"Lenore Greene," said the Lady in Velvet, accepting the offered hand and granting a gentle shake. "I do not know her beyond the capacity of a one-time client, unfortunately. Such an introduction could be seen as uncouth." And Lenora was not uncouth. The wolf's praise for Sacramento was met with a polite nod. Lenora too had been impressed.

As Nathaniel took the opportunity to take stock of their surroundings, Lenora Lenore took the opportunity to look at the drinks menu, selecting a nice Merlot. Given that it was a cocktail it was doubtful the order would take long and, as suspected, it did not. She did not need to wait overly long and, as it poured, the Hidden Lord heard Nathaniel's question.

"I am told all work and no play will make me a dull girl," she responded, a smirk hitting her lips as she turns her attention back to the boy attempting small talk. "I often don't leave time for... spontaneity. Thus, I do not have a plan. I will take the night as it comes, as hard as that may be."

Then came the wine, well portioned and delicately handled. Slid in front of her, Lenora took a moment to admire the color, even as her inner logic thought against it.

Such a waste of the Blood.

Then a glance to the wolf.

And yet necessary. For tonight.

Thus, Lenora caught the lifted glass of the ringmaster cuddling with her pirate and lifted hers in turn with a practiced grace. One benefit of her birth among many. Her invitation was noted and Lenora's face spoke of a light temptation.

Then the dance. Lenora's eyes lock on Twist, Asa, and Sonnie. Of the three, Twist drew Lenora's eye the most, but why wouldn't she? The Duchess was the one she was the most familiar and the most intriguing. Though among the Kindred Twist danced with such... emotion. Passion. Both were concepts the Priscus of Lords often struggled with, but the Daeva seemingly portrayed both with ease.

"Given the talent we bear witness to, I believe this is more fulfilling than anything I would have otherwise planned," Lenora admits, her tone soft and genuine.

[Seraphina]

There was a mixture of pride and amazement as she watched Sonnie dance. She’d never known the monkey could dance like that! Granted she wasn’t as graceful as the delicate Mary Poppins, that woman was simply sensational on the dance floor! Even so, Sera cheered for her friend.

A twinge of jealously could be felt, wondering what it took to be able to move with such confidence and ease on the dance floor. Something she had never been able to master. Maybe she should have asked Sasha for some lessons.

Sipping the water, her sapphires move over the rest of the crowd.
