Dirt Nap has returned to his previous, casual hunting grounds with more intent and commitment. The tunnels he had found before as a convenient hunting territory for rodents and small mammals is now a place he is determined to learn the lay of, to learn how to find his way around and make into familiar territory. He has an endless supply of food and slumbers in the solid ground when the time comes.

He has no pressing need to come out for days at least. He does, nonetheless find his way to openings each night to briefly turn on his phone and check for messages. He has no other contact with the surface world, immersing himself in darkness and the labyrinth of tunnels and sewers beneath the city.

The rats are the most reliable sustenance, but he feeds also on occasional larger mammals, like possums and raccoons.
