Time of day means naught for within the Hedge danger needs no sundial. That didn't mean the blue Changeling setting up her tools wasn't without purpose for when she was doing this.

Circe wished to attempt Hedgespinning. And after having seen some many waltz around with gowns no sane mortal could make decided her first attempt would be no weapon but a garment. One made using the leaves of the Hedge certainly but also using the dying light of the setting sun reflecting off the Sacramento River. It was her hope that this would double the effective harvest of sunset colors or something.

Well, that had been the plan but first she'd needed to find a suitable location in the Hedge. It needed to be reflective to the Sacramento River's shore, solid enough to work on, and sufficiently defensible for an hour or two. While fun it would be counterproductive to regularly stop to shoot things like some tower defense game.

It took several excursions to find a spot that would do with the addition of her left over barbed wire. That some stones and driftwood provided her with a makeshift table to work upon was a bonus but she had a dufflebag full of sewing stuff for this anyway. Now it was a matter of timing the work right so she got the right colors.

And ignore the parts of her brain telling her weaving light into fabric was impossible.

To mortal eyes the backless dress would seem be nice quality work. Yet it didn't quite come out as the Summer Queen expected. Not impossible for mortals to craft, nor jaw dropping as others had worn. And the color!

Circe had planned it would transition between the colors of sunset in mostly gold, orange, and red but instead she got the colors for just after the sun had fallen. Had she been too slow? Spun for too long? Would she need to try again?

With a frustrated growl the Larcenist grabbed the garment from the makeshift table in annoyance, leaking Glamour into it. Any attmept to throw it away stopped as crimson eyes picked up a hint of light. Seeming to grow from the dress's hem, golden glowing vines climbs the dress like vines rising towards the sunshine. These vines taper off at the torso. Instead the glow here is composed of a set of clearly defined symbols in a pattern, 4 on the chest and 5 symbols on the stomach.

They are in fact the Elder Futhark runes Ansuz, Ehwaz, Isaz, Naudiz, Odal, Perpo, Raido, and Sowilo. They very poorly, and probably improperly, translate to Iron Spear.

The elfin Larcenist would be proud of this if she actually knew what the symbols meant. But they looked kind of cool and this was a first attempt so the initial rage gave way to pride at a success. She knew how to Hedgespin. Now she just needed a mirror to see what makeup would go good when the dress was on her person.
