Coffee shops? No. Maybe movie ticket-taking. The full coffee cup should be evidence. What kind of guy orders a drink on someone else's dime just to stare at it? Speaking of softball, that's a lot of misses at an easy lob, yo.

"I am the beloved commercial break," Jack declared. "Existing only to interrupt that cheerful camaraderie with insistent offers of car insurance, feminine hygiene products, and of course your local politician's endorsed by but not paid for campaign ad."

He whipped out an arm to look at a bare wrist between his cuff and glove.

"Look at the time. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming." That's the real deal. Tennis shoes brace on the floor and push his chair back so that he can stand and then click those heels together smartly. "So long. Farewell. Auf Wiedersehen. Adieu. Adieu, adieu, to you and you and you," he bobbed his mop to each in turn. Of course he didn't skip Shodan.

[Spark]

Spark was about to respond when Star made his exit and derailed whatever train of thought the man had been riding. He blinked once and then shook his head. "So I guess that makes him one of those odd commercials that you can never tell where it's going till it's over?" Spark wasn't trying to insult the man he was genuinely thrown off kilter by Star's exit. It was a lot like when you slammed on the breaks in a car and get jostled forward it takes a moment to recover and figure out just what the hell happened.

Spark was thinking about taking his leave too, the conversation had wound down, thankfully without a fight.

[Mobius]

"Maybe we can talk about it next time." Mobius answered Kaze, checking the time on her phone. Star's exit brought the realization that they had been here a little while now.

She gathers up her things, the watered down remains of her coffee in tow. "I'll keep an eye out for the flyers, Chandler." She chuckled, raising her cup to Shodan, referring to whatever sort of event he might concoct.

"Later guys." She ends abruptly.

Mobius leaves the scene unless otherwise stopped.

[Kaze]

Kaze chuckles at Shodan's reaction to his sports performance story and the robot pack prophecy. "Hey. Life is messy sometimes." He says.

Then Star just leaves. "Wow. That was...strange." He says, shaking his head, apparently content to forget about it. He nods at Spark's summation of the encounter.

Kaze smiles at Mobius' non-answer and says, "Sure. I mean, the Consilium just ended up not being a really great time for introductions, so I figured we could get to know each other a little bit in here, so we're all good." He gets up. "I got the tip, I'll see you guys around, okay? You got my number if you need anything."

Sounds like everyone is good to close? Thanks for a fun and interesting scene everybody!
