(AGTOO) Love, Death, and Robots

Phoenyx : You go back downstairs, but the same guard that ushered you inside is now fumbling with the metal detector, blocking the access to the floor. From your vantage point he can't see you yet. Nevertheless, you need to find a way to walk past unnoticed or either explain the misunderstanding.
Shodan , Kaze : Perhaps it's his acrobatic flair or the dim lighting but the bartender looks more impressive than he should. He jousts the mixer with the dexterity of a kung-fu master, catching it midair in yet another vulgar display of acrobatics. Then, with clockwork precision, he pours its content - a fluorescent pink liquid - unto the two glasses on the counter, smirking as two rather cute brunettes drain the tumblers in the blink of an eye.

The two girls on their part proceed to the floor, not before having bumped against you two. They're a bit too handsy on their way out, murmuring a rather unapologetic "Sorry" which would have been believable if they hadn't been winking.

"What can I give you?", the bartender shouts loudly hopeful that his voice won't be drowned by the music. "Three Caipirinhas?", he says to Kaze. Whether he misheard or he's just trying to push a cheaper alternative you can't tell. But the first three drinks are free, and there's a VIP table waiting for you.
As the bartender starts slicing a lime, you two take your time to scan your surroundings. The floor's packed, a chaotic tangle of flesh and sweaty limbs.

Shodan: On the far side of the floor lies the VIP Room. You'll have to clear the floor to reach it. The restrooms are a dozen meters to the right. From their darkened silhouettes, you can tell that people are crowding the stalls.

Kaze: Despite the crowd, you can make the outline of a bulky man right under the Neon insignia of the VIP rooms. It's a bouncer, likely armed. The layline under your feet point directly to the center of the floor, swelling with energy.

A lanky man sporting an afro tries to approach you at the counter. "Man", he shouts barely above the music, "beast of a night. Care to buy a brother a drink", he says sticking his tongue out to reveal a Rick and Morty blotter, "I can share the goods", then he pushes two stamps over the counter toward Shodan. The Bartender makes a point of ignoring the exchange, "Sharing is caring".
Just then the Bartender pours the drinks. 6 Caipirinhas, 3 each. Stirred cachaça with added sugar, ice and lime.

If you want to cross the floor and not lose each other amid the crowd, you both will have to score two successes on a Dex + Wits roll at a -2 penalty. Perception rolls inside the crowd are at a -2 penalty. Please list your stamina

"Thanks." Kaze says, tipping the bartender a hundred dollar bill and taking his three drinks, the sliding the over to the man who asked for a drink. "Here. Enjoy." he says, smiling. "I'm driving."

Kaze pretends not to notice the stamps either, and looks out into the gyrating crowd, looking for Phoenyx and just generally keeping up appearances. He doesn't head out into the crowd right away, and stays near Shodan while not looking at him directly.

Phoenyx frowns. She didn't want to resort to magic so quickly, and with the guard blocking her way across she knows she'll have to get creative. The frown turns to a slight smile. After all, this is what she does.

Heading back up the corridor she ducks into the doorway marked "Staff". "Sent up to staff room. Going around. Be there asap," she whispers to the others, before heading into the door. Stealth is not her specialty, but the Obrimos tries to stay light on her feet and slips into the shadows, trying to avoid any real staff.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, the bartender quickly pockets the Benjamin, mouthing off a loud "Thank you" before he goes back to serve the next batch of drinks to the group of patrons standing at the darker end of the counter.
From time to time he turns around to glance at his curious patrons, emboldened by the donation, he keeps performing his acrobatics.

Shodan: This is the first time you've seen this particular man's aura. It is weak, of a pale grayish color. Occasionally small eddies of glimmering light surge from the bottom and ascend toward the man's heart. He's a Sleeper, maybe somebody that one day will become a Sleepwalker.
Your new "acquaintance" gulps the drinks one after another, wiping his mouth against the right cuff of his shirt. "t's great bro. Lot of good looking people tonight", he leans closer, "the VIP area though. Man... that's where the good shit happens, downstairs. You know, this used to be an underground garage"

Kaze:It's dark and you can't see much other than the outlines of the bodies contorting under the light. Tongues of shadows flicker across the wall of the VIP room, likely more guests entering.

Kaze, Shodan: A tidal wave of energetic resonance comes crashing against your feet. Like a reflux, it climbs back from the center of the floor to swell the leyline at your feet. Hundred birds cackling and chirping against your skin. In Shodan's pocket, one of the USB sticks vibrates if just for a second. You might be lucky enough to witness the genesis of a node.


Phoenyx: The Staff room is a large lobby acting as backstage. A dozen of dancers, in different state of undress, are changing into their performance outfits. Paillettes, pompons. Some are reharsing their choreography. Others, sitting by the mirror, are checking their makeup. All under the vigil eye of a stern looking small asian lady, who, like a sentinel, blocks the entrance to the staff elevator. To her left, another room leads to the office area.
The hawkish woman spots you and with a shriek "What are you doing? Didn't you read the time on the Ad? You're late, late, late. Dress now!", she orders.

Kaze nods almost imperceptibly and moves slowly and smoothly through the crowd towards the VIP area, trying to move organically with the crowd without forcing against it, blending in. He does try to keep track of Shodan and an eye out for Phoenyx.

The Mighty's eyes widen.

Hmm...

Well, it certainly wasn't her plan to come in as a dancer, and it wasn't a good feeling to leave her weapons behind, but... if it got her inside....

Phoenyx quickly finds the costume and begins stripping off, making sure to wrap her daggers and pistol up in her leather trenchcoat.

Alright, alright. I couldn't think of a better way. What does her costume look like?

Kaze :
Perhaps it's the loud track, perhaps it's due to the confusing strobes, but on your way toward the VIP area you bump against what feels and smells like a girl, entirely losing track of Shodan in the process.
The lighting falters for a second, but luckily for your, the energetic lines beneath your feet provide enough light to reorient yourself. Raising your gaze again, you see that Shodan is still at the bar, seemingly dealing with his new "friend". Phoenyx however, is nowhere to be seen. The music bumps in your ears, beneath your feet the energy pumps stronger the closer you get to the middle of the floor.

Shodan :
Illuminated by the occasional laser beam, the man's pupils widen even more if possible. And you can't tell whether it's because of the drugs in his system or due to the shock elicited by your offer.
After a few seconds of pondering, the man accepts, even if with a bit of hesitation in his voice. "Woah man, you'd do that for me? You sure? You must be loaded. I mean, thanks", for a moment it looks like he'd give you a high five.
Phoenyx :
How the mighty have fallen!
The outfit looks like nothing Phoenyx would have ever worn of her own volition. Gymnastic clothes that don't hamper one's mobility but that are impractical for fighting or for hiding weapons. It's tricky, though she manages to find enough space to fit one of her daggers.
The body - an embroidered blue and gold sheath dress - is decorated with a mesh of lucid paillettes that under the light look like a rainbow, and a batch of synthetic feathers.
A red silk ribbon and a pair of golden acro shoes complete her outfit.
The older woman approaches you "You go down to the second underground floor to perform the show. Yes?", she points at the elevator, "You trained for it"
