Well. At least Emily probably couldn't be angry now... He watched from the sidelines as the strangers circled, tensing up- would he have to fight? And what about the people here?! This wasn't ideal. Actually, this was TERRIBLE! The pup had to think quickly. Think think think think...... Oh. That might work. Or it'd be terrible.
If he shifted right here, RIGHT NOW, he could spark a mass lunacy. That could foil the plans of the pure, AND provide a means to escape (it could also kill someone- but that ship sailed the moment the Pure stepped in). The pup only wished he'd stepped in sooner- the threat of a berserk mob might have been enough to stall the conflict... The only issue was whether this entrancement the humans seemed under would affect that. That and the insane amount of attention this would garner.
The Crescent was torn by indecision here- too young, and too inexperienced in this kind of situation to know what to do. His first instinct was to shift- he was useless in a fight otherwise. But if there was a chance to talk... He'd wait. And when the time came, he'd make his play.
Hopefully he'd HAVE a play, by then.

Brigit smirks as the alpha relays his threat before her eyes level at the pack member he chooses to fight against her.
At the Pure's comment of her betrayal, Brigit does something she doesn't do often: she smiles.
"Pussy," she offers in turn, her tone almost playful and eager. Then the Redeemed squares up and balls her fists.
Win or lose, Brigit has already achieved victory. Her soul is forgiven and she is not chained to the spirits of the Hisil. The slaves that call themselves the Pure cannot say the same.

The Pure were addressing everyone present, which at this point is only Werewolves and a Spirit. Sorry for any earlier confusion. There are no humans nearby, only half-spirit shapeshifting angry? People.

Well the time for talk was over. And it seemed the last of the humans had left the area.... time to see if that training paid off, sis.He felt the essence flow, as his body shifted and he sprinted forward. No more hanging back this time.
It happened in a blur- one moment, the pup is standing off to the side. The next, a giant gray wolf is pouncing a spirit, teeth open and ready to tear at flesh.
Going by the wiki, a shift can be reflexive with an essence expenditure. The spirit he attacked was Faith's Toll. Nathaniel is now in Urshul

Teeth almost find purchase on what looks like robes but fail to. Instead Nathaniel's bite awkwardly slides off the spirit as Faiths-Toll recoils away from darting near-wolf. A low drone emerges from the black space within its hood and the spirit floats backward several feet away from both Nathaniel and the Pure around it. <<True Belief>> It intones in a louder drone as it slams its mallet into the bell in its other hand. It's toll rolls across the gathered wolves and onward away from the building.
The women called Eight glances at the retreating? spirit and shakes her head before swelling into Dalu and lunging at Nathaniel with a fist. Though the Crescents training seems to be paying off already as he avoids the blow.

Annoyance at her missed strike rapidly turns into pain as a giant dire wolf leaps forward and sinks o so large teeth into Eight. A cry of pain escapes clenched teeth as she and Matt both feel the pull of pure Rage.
Almost blinding red burns across their sights and the world narrows into tiny specks of chaos and color. Blood pounds in sympathy as the tiny specks move.
Then it passes and both know they were on that ragged edge between control and the thing of pure anger on the inside.

Now was not the time for War. These idiots had not proven to be worthy of it.
They were pests and Brigit would treat them as such. Pests weren't fought. They were Hunted. Thus, Brigit expended her Essence and thrust her body into the form of the Hunt.
The Great Pale Wolf that was once Brigit wasted no time, lunging for the prey the Fool had assigned to fight her with the determination to End Him sooner rather than later.
Brigit expends an Essence to assume Urshul as a reflexive action. She is targeting Last

The Ithaeur rushes forwards. Her packmates have already taken huge forms and torn at the spirit and two of the three Pure.
May as well aim for the last one.
Like Matt and Brigit, Emily embraces the tearing form of Urshul, pumping spirit energy into her body and limbs, twisting and writhing through the air.... And snapping at Howl with her Dire-wolf jaws as a silvery Urshul.
In shifting to Urshal, Emily's Initiative increases to 12! Her defense is only 2, however.
Also, since I don't expect a defense of more than 4 from this guy, so I took the liberty of rolling to resist Kuruth.... and failing! So, That's fun! XD
Kelreth , The bad guys are up! Feel free to narrate Emily's shifting to Garau if I was right.
