Charity Night and Coffee!

[Seraphina]

A warm smile was offered to Mabel, “It’s all good, no worries.” Her tone friendly.

Laughing, “Oh, Mable, you’re officially in! You have a nickname!” bring a friend along? She didn’t really have any. Though she could see if Sasha would be down.

A half smile was given to Sonnie, “Thanks. It popped up on the computer the other night.” The smile didn’t meet her eyes though. “More coffee!” and fills the Beasts cup.

The cheers were great, but didn’t help the feelings of failure. But she still smiled, the mask sliding back into place.

“You guys are too kind.” Says the Nix, finishing her own coffee. Shaking her head, “Not at all, it’d be great if you guys joined us.” And she meant it.

[Mable Wood]

"Nickname? Oh, Mabs! Ya I love it." Mable smiled.

"Oh I have to leave soon for work. Maybe another time for dinner. But it was really kind for you to offer."

"Do you all have my number? I can't remember if I gave it to you."

[Sonnie Wu]

Sonnie drank some of her fresh coffee, then smiled, "Oh, I guess I did dish out a nickname, didn't I? I do that sometimes."

She looked to Sera and Rhodes, her eyebrows raised curiously, "Mm? Well, I got no plans, so if it's cool, I can come along."

Her eyes turned to the Gangrel, and she pouted, "Ah, you gotta go? Bummer! But I guess we gotta be adults occasionally." Sonnie pulled out her phone and scrolled though her contacts, "Um, maybe I got it at that bar last year? This list is a mess..."

[Rhodes]

Rhodes glanced at Sera. He knew that smile, the one that almost looked real. But there was no use in pushing her to accept it was good - she wouldn't believe that. So he would do what she needed. Silent, reassuring support - once she felt enough like herself to come out from behind the counter.

"That's too bad," he says to Mable. "Some other time maybe. it. I don't think I have it, but I'm sure Sera has it." He give the Nix a reassuring smile.

Sonnie gets a nod. "Of course! We're happy to have company. We wouldn't have offered otherwise."

[Seraphina]

Frowning, “Oh, well defiantly another time then.” She says with a smile and nod. “I have it, you gave it to me at the laundry mat.” But now she was changing the name to Mabs.

Laughing, “But you come up with some good ones!” she then giggles as she looks to Rhodes.
“Of course it’s cool! Plus, we can discuss those great nick names you have for him.” She adds with a wink.

“Being an adult is overrated most of the time.” She adds. “But at least we have awesome plans to look forward to!” dancing! Well, them dancing, her watching.

Nodding, “Yup, it’s programmed in my cell.” Replies the Nix coming around the counter and settling against Rhodes, her arm around him.

Nodding to Sonnie, “He makes an excellent point. We invited because we enjoy the company.” It would have been a good way to get to know Mable better, but maybe next time. “But now we have the very difficult task of deciding where we want to go. There are so many wonderful restaurants in the city!”

[Mable Wood]

"Well, I gotta go. It was a great night. Thank you and call me when you are ready for the night out." She smiled at the small group. "Have a good dinner. Bye."

Mable heads out to change for work.

[Sonnie Wu]

"Oh, here's your number! Cool!" she smiled and put her phone away, just in time to wave to the departing Mable. "Will do! Bye!"

Sonnie watched the vampiress depart, then sipped from her coffee again and looked to Sera and Rhodes, "So, how long till closing? And I agree, adulting stinks. It's why I try to avoid it as much as possible." She nodded proudly.

[Rhodes]

"Nicknames? For me?" Wide eyes move from Sera to Sonnie and back again. " So nice to know I get to be a topic of conversation when I leave you two alone together. All good things, I hope?" He asks Sera, a smirk tugging at his lips. As she slips an around him, Rhodes gives her a small kiss on the cheek, and returns the gesture, placing a reassuring hand on Seraphina's hip, the embrace is a little tighter for a second, reminding her things are safe.

"It was lovely to see you again, Mable. Don't work too hard," he smiles as she leaves.

The Flowering looks to Sera, nodding with Sonnie's comment about times, and managing to avoid rolling his eyes over not doing adult things."That's a point. What time will things be wrapping up here? I know I somewhat surprised you by dropping by, but I really don't want to disturb your work." It meant so much to her. "Just so I can plan a restaurant." He already had a few in mind, of course, but some were more intimate and if Sonnie was joining it was best to be inclusive.

Do we want to start fading out or skip and go to dinner? There's a bit of time left, I'm easy either way

She waves as Mable leaves, reminding herself to call her about hanging out soon. Though she probably should make a note, and does that in her phone.

“Not too much longer, about another hour.” The crowd was already starting to get smaller with each passing moment. “Yeah, avoiding it is key. But then I went and started a business, so it’s hard to avoid acting like an adult.” A slight frown and shrug. “Which is why we need to have more girls nights!” plus Sonnie was a blast to hang out with.

When his eyes move back to her, she was just smirking. “Nicknames are always a good thing. They’re a sign of endearment.” She looks to Sonnie with the smirk still on her lips. “And no one is better at coming up with them then Miss Sonnie.” It was true, she had some good ones.

The gestures were appreciated, and a small smile was offered to him. Someday she’d get past not being perfect. Someday.

“In about an hour. But if you guys don’t want to wait for me, that’s fine.” She got it, especially if people were hungry. Laughing, “Oh, don’t worry about that. I am the queen of multitasking!” it was true. “So you guys pick a restaurant, and I’ll be ready to go in an hour.”

I'm good either way. I have the scene space for another, or we could make it another Shards.

Taking a final drink of her coffee, Sonnie set the cup down and smiled at the happy couple, "An hour? That works. Gives me time to go home and take care of a few things, then I can meet you guys at wherever." The Beast smirked, "Oh, yes, girls nights are essential to staying youthful and happy. Responsibility gives you wrinkles. It's a scientific fact."

She winked at Sera, "You said it, Ariel!" It would seem Sonnie was still convinced the Nix was a mermaid.

Looking to Rhodes, she tilted her head, "I'm assuming food trucks aren't what you had in mind. So, what do you recommend in terms of, say, Italian? I could go for some pasta if you're game."

I'm full on standard scenes, atm. It'd have to be another Shard for me if you want to carry on with this.
