Oh my. Such a reaction- perhaps dropping the name so early might be at a disadvantage. Still, if it got them in the back... Ah. Winter seemed to be doing Winter things.
"Oh?... Is something wrong sir? Of course we'll follow- we don't wish to cause a situation." It was times like this she regretted quitting her previous job- having medical contacts would have been INCREDIBLY useful right now.... If she was going to stay here extensively, it might be worth reviving some of them.
There was little the Thyrsus could accomplish with life. Luckily she was not limited to such things... A new face, a new man.... It had been a useful spell, during job interviews and when she was trying to re-accustom herself to the world around them.
it was an easy spell to weave, requiring no effort. Prods in his mind- The lady looks nice, doesn't she? Trustworthy?
hopefully now they'd have an easier go about things. As socially inept as Galatea could be, this trick had been a lifesaver.
The doctor rolls resolve reflexively. Each success on this spell will add 1 die to the first social attribute roll she makes towards him.
To Doctor Carlson he was dealing with a man who did not understand the seriousness of the situation. Winter on the other hand was only partially focused on the Doctor, because part of his attention was focused on connecting to the computer. He found quickly that his information was limited, but what he could find while shifting through the files with text was bad. Carlson was a nationally recognized expert in infectious diseases, having come straight from the Center for Disease Control to deal with the situation. Luckily notes showed that while they were concerned about the reach of the virus, the doctors were hopeful due to the recovery of some patients that spending time in quarantine would result in the patients making a full recovery. Unfortunately several patients had already died, so while hopes were high that they could recover on their own, they were taking the suspected virus as serious as a plague.
As Galatea spoke though the doctor focused on her. "As a matter of fact it's quite serious and I'll need both of you to come with me immediately."

The good think was that the Sleepers weren't suspicious of anything, the bad thing was that their careless prodding into something they had no clue and no means to safely inquiry about, could as well cause an outbreak.
Shaking off himself the fog from his forays into the digital, the Guardian's attention is back on the doctor. "Hmm, alright", the closer they got, the better.

"Wherever you need to. As I said, we don't wish to cause an uproar." Hopefully the next time she decided to have a 'chat' with him, he'd be more malleable.
The Doctor nodded his head and began to lead the two mages through the hospital. One after another doors were opened with keycard access. What they could see immediately is that every one of these doors required only the press of a button to allow them to exit. After a few turns and what felt like several minutes though they reached the Restricted Access wing. As the doctor used his keycard the doors automatically swung open and revealed rows and rows of rooms and bed space either covered with plastic or blocked off by plastic. The sight only said one thing: quarantine. This door did not open with a button, but instead required a keycard to exit.
Dr. Carlson turned to them and said, "If you would please step in here," he said, gesturing to a side room, "I'm going to go change and get the paperwork. I'll be back in a few moments." He then turned and walked away, leaving the mages alone in the room.

"Ladies first", he'll follow Galatea and the doctor. Best to humor him and get as much as they can from the good doctor.

"I'd like to ask him about the animals first- I need to make sure the aquarium will be safe should this spread. I think he'll understand?" A subtle way of telling Winter that she had a plan to deal with him first.
Galatea had already used mind once- now she had another plan, to assist in persuading the doctor. Magic energy gathered. Life and Mind in conjunction... And yet again, the spell risked coming loose. No matter- taking in paradox was a normal occurence by now- a few bruises appeared around her body, as in tandem her features became.... more. Better. Attractive- not drop dead gorgeous, she hadn't managed to focus it enough after the paradox. But a tug here, a different shade there, brighter eyes... Every edge helped.
Galatea gain a +1 to persuade/entertain/distract via presence/manipulation if she uses her looks

The pained expression he spared the woman, as a whiff of saltwater pinched his nostrils and a brief but painful shudder traversed his spine, was one of pity mixed with contempt then rage. What the hell was she thinking, performing magic in front of a crowd of sleepers. Worse, to give her moral failings weight in the form of abyssal energies.
It occurred to the Guardian that the Awakened of Sacramento were impervious to the very basic tenets of awakened society, and this rigidity of thought, immunity to common sense, manners and courteous magocracy, would have to be corrected somehow, with an iron fist preferably. Discipline must be enforced, idiocy must meet the back of a callous hand. Steel after all, can only be made malleable after the application of sufficient Forces.
The burden of course fell on the Guardian's shoulders.
He didn't say anything, because if she was smart enough to talk, she would be smart enough to understand what the daggers he was shooting at her were about.
