(SotA) The Passage of Time

As Winter opened door number one he immediately noticed that it hid a long hallway with a single door at the end. About two-thirds of the way down the hallway was a large steampunk clock that made a distinct clank sound every minute, the second hand ticking away in preparation of the next moment.

Between the entrance and the clock was a pathway of tiles guiding them to the clock and the door. Instinctively though, any who entered felt a familiar sensation. The mere act of stepping through the doorway set off their Unseen Senses.

Dark shadows scatter in ordered symmetrical patterns traversed by a crackling pallid silver light that wraps Winter in a pleasantly numbing and icy coldness.
When vulgar magic is cast, the frequency of the oscillation of the dark fluid surges until the shadows arrange themselves in a solid black halo around Winter's head, the white light darkens into a fiery black sunlight and his eyes are set ablaze with vivid incandescence.

As soon as he's stepped in the hallway, his senses have began tingling, a clear sign that Supernal energies were at play. The Guardian is wary of this place, his muscles tense. The house could be littered with dangerous traps and wards.
First, he looks around, driven entirely by muscle memory, he assesses any potential threat. He steps forward, stopping by the clock, his gaze resting on its wooden frame. Could it be one of those tests? Before delving into the occult, he'll check for mundane clues. He tilts his head to the side, his eyes following the circular movement of the clock's arms, tic after toc.

Clock... Clocktower... Well crap. The Moros follows Winter as the man moves towards the clock. No blood yet, so that's good. Long hallway though. Very... Hellboy feeling. Well the older movie at least.

"I'm seeing a theme with clocks." Obvious yes but it had to be said. Then the Moros goes quiet as he looks over the clock as well.

The two Mages stepped in, their footsteps echoing off of walls and stone floor. As they reached the clock they start ed to notice things. It was made of a mixture of wood and metal, with refined engravings along the way, and a circular button in the center of it all. They also noticed that the clock was connected to the door at the back by a long metal pipe that extended out the back of the clock. What only Winter noticed though was that the closer they got to the clock, the faster it starting ticking until it finally stopped, both hands on 12 and let out a chime like an alarm had gone off.

Almost immediately they could both feel wind from nowhere pushing then away from the clock as the floor suddenly became slick like ice. Looking back the door to the room had closed and the floor slowly started to feel as if it was becoming a slope, rising higher and higher, almost impossible to climb. The clock was no longer ticking like normal, but was ticking down. Ticking down to what though was unknown to them.

If you want to resist sliding away you can roll Dex+Ath-4. An exceptional Success will mean you're able to hit the button before the wind pushes you away. At least one success will mean you slide away on your feet and not your butt.

The Guardian curses his luck, it really was his bad day. But for a Scion of the Golden Key a gust of wind is a mere nuisance, as he feels the floor being swept under his feet, his whole body being carried away, his mind grasps for the Aetheric winds. He snaps his fingers, it's a small push, but hopefully enough to get past the obstacle.

Eyes go wide as the wind hits then the floor shifts. Langdon stands no chance against it all and falls. Hands flourish through a rote and he presses his right hand into the ground. Desperately hoping to feel the floor giveway and his fingers find a hold.

Winter reached out with forces to press the button, and just barely pressed it. He could hear a click as the door at the back opened. With the opening of the door the wind stopped, but the floor remained in its slick and inclined position. And the clock began ticking again...

Quickly Langdon reached out and formed a part of the floor into the shape of a handhold, but would his grip remain?

Langdon roll Dex+ Ath to grab the ledge you just made. If he fails then the grip is just slightly out of reach of the back of the room, but the grip will remain where you created it.

Winter I don't believe we kept the incidental effects from Ie, but I honestly don't know since I wasn't here when the 2e armor change was made. Yumyumcrow

Check the wiki. As far as I am aware the Mage Armor now uses 2nd ed. rules but our site still considers Mage Armor to be spells not attainments.

His jaw tightens. He pushed the button, the wind was gone... for now, but they still had the problem of the slippery slope, one that would likely drop them God knows where.
The Guardian lets go of some of the elaborate glyph-work enmeshed in his aura, he'll need his concentration for this. He feels his soul ache for the Aether, past the chasm of nonexistence. That power is in his legs for a second, but then it is gone. His feet slip, and he readies himself for the fall.
