Winter and Juris head inside the house. Shodan is ahead of them, slowly making his sweep of the house. They catch up with the Libertine as he makes his way carefully upstairs. He can vouch that the ground level of the house is pretty mundane. An older couple had lived in the house: the kitchen was homely and the living room was full of memories - mundane memories. No secret compartments, either.
Upstairs is a different matter. The master bedroom had been given over to a library. There was a secondary bedroom that the couple evidently used; a bathroom; and a box room (a room big enough to fit a bed with space for precious little else) that had been given over to a store room of sorts. The library covered a range of subjects that was fairly mundane (religious books vied with new age material and fishing and mechanics). The library possesses a table with a PC and a number of comfortable looking chairs. There is a pile of disks on the table, but they appear to be pretty mundane - holiday snaps and a few card game compilations.
Shodan is torn. On the one hand, his enhanced Sight pings the moment he enters the library - one wall is false and there is a decent space behind it. On the other hand, he peeks into the storage room and spies more ritualistic garb hidden way among the boxes and shelves of spare Manchester, linen, and a lifetime of knick-knacks. Some of the knick-knacks look like statuettes, rods, wands, and other paraphernalia one would not expect in an old couple's home; let alone their store room.
Shodan knows there is a secret compartment. Accessing it requires Intelligence or Wits + Investigation + 2 (you know the secret compartment is there). If you wish to make a deeper exploration of the upper floor please make a perception check (Wits + Composure) or roll Wits + Investigation. Following up in the store room directly is Intelligence + Occult.
You may also wish to turn on the PC and check the disks.
And of course, if you can think of anything else feel free to work that in
Downstairs? Boo-ring! Upstairs? Oh brother, seekritz for days!
Shodan whistles in astonishment.
"We hit the motherlode, people!" says the Libertine as it becomes obvious just how much there is to explore. And explore he does. The Obrimos is all over the place...

... and knocks on the false wall of the library. There needs to be some kind of switch, button or other mechanism that opens the compartment, right? Unless there's an Alexa that orders people to 'say friend and enter'...

... even if successfully opened, however, Shodan pays very little attention to what's inside the hidden space (there are two other capable mages in here that can deal with it, after all), and instead sits at the computer, turns it on and guesses the password.

"To those with the keen eye, gold gleams like a spear's point", the Obrimos recites as he ascends the stairwell. Somebody had to temper the Libertine's enthusiasm, lest they end up like those fools in the barn.
Before they proceed further, the Guardian decides it might be wise to double check for threats, after all it's better to be safe than sorry. Always careful, he decides to explore the rest of the floor to check for any vibration, any strange weight that would normally mark an abrupt change of resonance.
Colorful echoes of supernal usually follow in the wake of powerful beings, and the creature they're hunting is certainly one. It's mildly amusing, did Ahab feel the same as he hunted the whale?
Unlike Ahab, they wouldn't drown into the ocean.

Slowly and silently Juris made his way out of the house, unsure how else he could help.
I'm sorry for holding everyone up. Juris leaves the scene
