Three days earlier, a powerful and strange resonance began emanating from an abandoned house in North Highland. To anyone walking by it just looked like another house hit hard by the housing market bubble that missed any type of rescue by the avalanche of reality TV house flippers. Stranger still was the fact that there was no record of there being anything connected to the Consilium located at the house.

Each day the resonance grew to levels that could not be ignored by the Awaken community and then poof it vanished completely. No Sleeper would notice the change, but a trained willworker would be able to see that the cloaking of a very power spell had finally unraveled, the spell along with it. And with the unraveling strange markings began to appear that pointed all those with the sight and the will to see towards the rear basement door. What secrets and mysteries could lie within the newly unprotected house? There was only one way to find out.

Please put monthly rituals and all equipment in your first post and then describe how you arrive. Galatea Abacus Winter Langdon

Soft steps brought Langdon to the house from a nearby bus stop. How many times had the Awakened in this city fluxed? How many times has Time itself been altered? To Langdon this house, and seemingly the basement, are a giant glaring question mark. One that could tell more about the history of Sacramento's Awakened population or possibly a former mages sanctum. Can't let that sort of thing go to waste after all..it may have useful things inside. His every present professionalish messenger bag hangs across his back with a limited assortment of useful things, importantly his ritual tool, notebook, and a few pens.

Except that the Stalker waits away from the house and takes his time looking at it. Anything that was hidden for this long was powerful, which means the odds of its former occupant leaving surprises behind seems fairly high.

Dark shadows scatter in ordered symmetrical patterns traversed by a crackling pallid silver light that wraps Winter in a pleasantly numbing and icy coldness.
When vulgar magic is cast, the frequency of the oscillation of the dark fluid surges until the shadows arrange themselves in a solid black halo around Winter's head, the white light darkens into a fiery black sunlight and his eyes are set ablaze with vivid incandescence.

The Obrimos parks a few blocks away from the building. He figured it was better to reach his destination on feet, away from the objective of prying cameras.
The building had been on his list of things to do for a while. Now that he had a bit of time, he figured he couldn't keep on ignoring the flares coming from the unraveling of the spells surrounding the construction. If it was a Mystery, he'd investigate. If it was the work of a rogue willworker, dispellation was probably the best solution.
He circles around the building, studying the location before he moves further. That's when he spots Langdon. "Hey", is his greeting.

    Galatea

Galatea had heard the resonance- or, sensed it. Had heard it becoming problematic. Others would likely investigate. It seemed a good chance to bond, and a good way to start off life back in mage society. She'd decided to walk there, trying to accustom herself to nature once more- taking a chance to idly chat with the odd squirrel or raccoon on the way when no one was looking, hoping to refine the particular dialects city-animals developed.

The place was... Well, not what Galatea expected. Still, if they were going to handle something inside a building that meant less chance of sleepers. Two others were already there- mages. One she'd met already, the other... Had she met him? The two seemed familiar with one another. That was reassuring.

"Hey. You two felt it as well, then."

Bizet helped him think. Carmen's first act punctuated his steps, the rising timbre of Les Voici guiding his fingers as he conducted away to an invisible orchestra. Classical music had a way of organizing his thoughts, prioritizing things of note, cataloguing tasks and the frequently pondered quandary of the day: this morning's crossword.

And like a cymbal crash several measures early, his reverie was shattered. Bizet was gone and the crossword left unfinished. Something had garnered his attention, but he only had the slightest idea as to what it could be. It was like a tap on the shoulder, but more like a shove and also in three feet of water.

There! The house stood there as if it was waiting for him. It was also entirely probable that he had walked past it several times in his daily routines and simply paid it no mind. But now it stood out like a sore thumb as if it...wanted to be found? It would explain the resonance.

    A trail of breadcrumbs.

The Logician saw familiar faces at various parts of this North Highland street. The Moros. The Orphan. He was not privy to the disposition of the Guardian. That made him a possible confound he was not willing to just leave be lest it come back to bite him later. Leave no stone unturned. He sounded like a Censor. That's what happens when you share the same Athenaeum.

"I take it we're all interested in what's in that house?"

As Langdon, Winter, and Abacus scouted out the location it became abundantly clear that there was something strange about the basement back door. What once looked like a door covered in graffiti was slowly becoming a door covered in Atlantean letters. Glowing Atlantean letters. But what Langdon noticed that the others didn't was that the area was eerily quiet. Not even a single bird's song could be heard.

"Those your friends?", he asks the Moros, "nevermind", he immediately goes for the backdoor, without even bothering to hear the Mystagogue's reply.
He first attempts to scrutiny the pattern, he doesn't spend much time, about right.

    Galatea

Galatea was... amused... at the gathering and as to what was happening, and what their inquisitive looks were all about, following behind them, congregated near a door. Galatea went beside the concentrating man.

"For such an entrance out in the open. Any protection is more likely to ward off sleepers than do any serious harm- perhaps even alter the entrance, depending on how paranoid they were. Still, better safe than sorry."

Paranoid mages, always leaving traps everywhere. Galatea didn't think she possessed the means to effectively look for such things. Luckily, the cold one seemed to be already on it. Galatea merely leaned against the back wall and waited, disappointed that there were no animals around she could talk to while she waited. then again, with four humans around that's probably expected.

"Associates I believe." Langdon calls as he rapidly follows the Guardian. Letting a Guardian get first dips on an abandoned sanctum? Heck no.

"I'd say so." The Stalker replies to both Abacus and Galatea. "I would say to be careful with your language but we're utterly alone as far as I can tell." Langdon looks at Galatea then to the two other mages. "I don't even hear a bird."

After a glance at Galatea, as she's just standing there, Langdon takes a long look at the Atlantean.

"Is he that curt with everyone?"

Wonderful. Atlantean. It shimmered against his vision. It was like trying to look at the sun as one does when rising from the water. It was difficult to focus in on the orthography. He took off his glasses and really gave his eyes a good rub before really settling his gaze on the ancient script.

    Elucidate. Come on, see!
