It is a drizzling cold evening as the rain comes down like spitting mist. The moon and the stars are obscured by cloud cover. Off in the distance an owl hoots in the tree. Even at night, it is a remarkably dark evening. A street light flickers slowly, going out... and back on ... and out... and back on.

Before them stands a the derelict building called Moore House. The paint on the brick exterior is peeling away, flitting into the overgrown un-weeded lawn. Given the state of the exterior, it is remarkable that the windows are still intact. The front door of the building also remains, but where once was a ringed knocker sits a hole. It is safe to assume that the knocker was yanked free of its mooring.

"How... inviting." The statement was overflowing with sarcasm. But like so many books one could hardly judge the Moore House by its cover. "Madame Harpy, do you know when the Deputy will be joining us? Should we wait or go inside? Perhaps he is already waiting for us there"

Adam was anxious to get inside. He needed to know what if anything was salvageable. There was a library in there, there was always a library. What secrets would it contain?

Before leaving her home to meet with Atticus and Adam she formed a mask of politeness and friendliness around her face. She certainly couldn't leave home without it. Then she put on a simple black dress, grabbed her umbrella, and placed her Colt M1911A1 in a simple black purse along with the key to Moore House. Parking nearby she got out and met up with Adam. "Quite," she replied. Then he continued. "Well unless he broke in through one of the dilapidated windows or a backdoor it's unlikely he's inside without us, seeing as I have the key. Since Regent Moretti ordered him to accompany us, I think it best to wait, at least for a few more moments, before embarking inside alone."

Rebecca has her gun in her purse, with a full clip. She also has her cell phone and wallet and is currently under her umbrella.

Walking up the street strolls the Deputy of the domain. Atticus James. No umbrella just letting the drizzle fall on him. It's the closest he can find to ocean spray. He misses the ocean. The smell, the taste, the sound. None of that was here. Atticus doesn't look well, his skin has more of a paler then normal, his eyes are unfocused and his clothes are more disheveled then normal. Atticus didn't have anything to say to either the Harpy or the Legate. He just wanted to get this over with. His studies and his covenant needed him, now more then ever. "Evening," The Gangrel says with a rasp in his penetrating voice.

Atticus tosses his cigarette and gestures for the Harpy to proceed to unlock the building at her leisure.

The Deputy was curt with his greeting, but from everything she had seen so far that just seemed to be the way he operated. She simply offered him a nod of her head and the words, "Deputy, good evening," before making her way towards the front door. Out of her purse came the key that Vivian had given her, unlocking the door. She then turned to face Atticus. "Since, to my understanding, this place is to be emptied and vacated, the key should most likely go to Regent Moretti for safekeeping, as this is within her Regency. Would you care to give it to her, or would you prefer I did?" she asked the Gangrel Deputy, her hand holding the key out for the man, should he wish to take it.

Adam nodded in greeting to James and quietly observed the exchange between James and the Harpy.

"Yeah, I'll take it. Thank you Ma'am." Atticus takes the key and steps aside. "Adam, You first sir." Atticus knew how much this place meant to Adam, and he felt it was only right to let the Lance go in first.

Rebecca offered Atticus a nod of thanks as he accepted the key, then stepped to the side to allow Adam entrance. This was his show after all.

Adam took a moment to inspect the threshold of the door. He looked for dried blood. Some sign of a Theban Inscription warning him of dangers or alarm.

As Adam opens the door and steps into the funeral home he can quicly tell that this is a Lancea et Sanctum abode. To the untrained eye, it would just look like a Christian focused facility, but there are hits and traces. Art work with Longinus as the focus, or paintings with hidden glyphs that not even kindred would recognize. But for someone of the Lance, it reads like a journal.

A soggy guest book can be found on the ground not far into the place. There are many names in it, hundreds of names. Most mean absolutely nothing, and then there are others. This sanctum has had many leaders, from Heathcliff Staley to Sidor Grigoriev to Anton Flores to Kenneth Gilroy and others. Each left a little piece of themselves. From Staley's uncertainty, to Grigoriev's stoicism to Flores' madness...

As Adam continues though the space he finds no traps or barriers. It is what it is. A derelict funeral home. The carpet is old and musty, their is a thick layer of dust turned grime from the humidity. There is no graffiti or signs of squatters. It seems even the most lowly of denizens knew this place was bad news.

Don't expect a ton of interaction from Atticus on this scene, since I am also STing it.
