Back at the Farm, Krieg placed the relic on the table. The idol was sentient - that much he was certain of. What the hell did it want though? What did the Goddess want?
Thomas walks into the Farm. He looks less than pleased, although when he sets eyes on the prize the Ventrue immediately lightens up, like a toddler denied for the whole day that finally got ahold of candy. Come to think of it, this analogy is perhaps too accurate.
"Krieg" He nods his head in greeting "First of all, I apologize I was of so little help. Seems my wit is not as sharp as I'd like it to be. Have you or the others managed to get a close look at our prize?"
He waits for a response before leaning over the cylinder, studying it. There'll be time for occult observations, but for now the ventrue tries to ascertain the place and time this strange piece of stone was created.

Krieg shook his head in response to Thomas, "No need to apologize," he waved a hand. "You did the best you could given the circumstances. I was prepared for a smash-and-grab." He shrugged. "We happened to get lucky." His eyes focused on the relic. "All that matters is that we figure out what we are dealing with...and possibly who...for lack of a better description, this object speaks telepathically."

Mable came upstairs, To Krieg, "I have secured the kittens downstairs until we know what this is."
To Thomas, "Good evening. Have you found out anything about it?"
Mable walked over to her computer and opened it, "I can see if I can get the history on the object, unless someone else has already done so?"
Adam was running behind. First, he had to complete his ritual player, then he had to navigate from the Barrens to the Farm. Miles and traffic made is arrival delayed.
Pulling up in his sedan, he prepared to face the trials before him.
Adam approaches the door and knocks.
The Kindred settle in to attempt to unravel that which is before them...
All right, folks. This is a complicated research task, in which I will be using Capping Skills. Please roll an extended Intelligence + Academics, capped by Occult. That is to say, roll Intelligence + the lesser of Academics or Occult. You may roll this pool as many times as you have Attribute + Skill. Adam and Thomas get +1 to this roll for relevant specialties. I do not see an appropriate Library. I will treat this as a teamwork roll and roll the lower pools as assist rolls to the top pool.
I also will need an extended Resolve + Composure roll, rolling to 8 successes, from each character. Failing any roll constitutes a failure for this test, like a Frenzy test.
He turns towards Mable "Not yet. But that will change very soon, mark my words" There's no warning in his voice, just the thrill of a challenge. Thomas has never seen anything quite like this "I believe searching the Web can be helpful. I'll leave that to you, though. I'm not much of a computer expert, you see" He smiles apologetically.
And then the knock comes.
"I'll get it" and he does. Upon seeing Adam, he brightens visibly and says "Please, please, do come in"
Then, work. Thomas focuses solely on the cylinder.
