Many of the mages which took refuge in the Bell building within Granite Park have been driven out, fleeing in Zilker's old FJ Cruiser. Animus clings to the top of the bouncing SUV, holding the unconscious Jordan-hawk, and Ankh takes directions from Dodger as they make their way out of the park...
...behind them, through the rain, bodies become indistinguishable shapes -- a mass from which neither Falx nor falcon emerge.

Ankh continues to drive, praying they would make it there in one piece. She has no idea how many of her companions actually made it to the car and she doesn't have time to look either. She concentrates on her driving.
Just drive.

Tam flies high, following the Cruiser. She looks for a chance to land on the roof.
I figure she can keep up, since some hawks can maintain up to 40 mph level flight, though I don't know about their endurance. Also, she doesn't have to follow corners and roads as the truck does.

Tam can keep up, and she can land on the roof with a Dex+Ath check.
Need to know where you're going, and I'd like to give everyone a chance
to post at least once before resuming narration.

Animus hangs on for dear life, desperately wishing he could safely heal Jordan. Anger burns within him, at the fleshies and ractains for their constant assaults on the survivors, at the Abyss for turning every act of Supernal will into a game of Russian roulette, and at the Wardens, for prospering from the current state of affairs.
Sensing a follower, he looks up, spotting the hawk flying above the car --- that would have to be Tam. He tries to remember whether she had advanced sufficiently to heal others, but draws a blank. I hope Ankh stops the car before it's too late.
Dodger was busy focusing on her surroundings. They were four wheeling it through the park, the green grass was being torn up by the SUV's wheels, and Ankh was doing a rather nice job of missing trees and such. She kept pointing and directing Ankh northward towards the light rail tracks. She saw that they were nearing the edge of Granite Park, so she gave further instructions to prepare Ankh, as any good navigator should...
"Ok, Ankh, when we get to the tracks, head west. That will take us into the city proper. But it will be a bit, and we will be out in the open a lot of the time. It's probably a good 15 miles or so, but once we get to 22nd street, we can take some other streets that will give us cover."
She kept her eyes looking out the window and glancing about, making sure they were still heading in the correct direction.

Animus sighs. Of course she won't stop, not with them behind us. Slowly, ever so cautiously, he shifts to the passenger side of the car, and knocks on the window, three light raps. If Dodger opens the window, he will deposit Jordan inside, in the hope that Ankh can spare a few seconds to save a dying comrade.

Jack flaps his wings and settles in the other middle passenger seat, digging his talons into the leather. He balances furthermore by flapping as the car swerves through the park, all the while looking between Ankh, Dodger, and Beverly.
Great, I'm gonna be naked in front of three or four women as soon as this spell wears off... he thinks. He knows he'll be blushing madly once it does.
