Summer, Spring and Coffee!

[Seraphina]

It seemed like every time she saw Circe at a Freehold event, they always said they’d get together. Yet it hadn’t happened. So today, it was happening.

The Nix had gone to her coffee shop and gotten a box of coffee to go, the strongest they had and a box of various pastries and treats.

Her next stop? Circe’s place! She hoped the Summer wouldn’t mind the visit, and at least she would come bearing gifts! Caffeinated gifts at that! And yummies! Who could be upset about that?!

So she knocks on the door. Hoping Circe was home and feeling up for company.

When she opens the door she’ll find a rather casual Treasured in jeans, a pink hoodie and a white tank top holding up a box of coffee and yummies.
Circe Origins

[Circe]

The initial answer at the door was a loud thud. As if something large impacted the door. The door opened to a yawning blonde whose attire was less than appropriate for going outside. "Huh? Cos'è? Presto adesso. Caffè che sento adesso?" Circe leaned forward sniffing at the scent of coffee. She was clearly not even close to awake yet.

Usually John Doe was good about making sure she didn't answer the door like this anymore. Not after the first few times.

She slightly jumped at the loud thud, suddenly rethinking her whole idea to drop by.

But then the door opened to reveal a clearly nonawake Circe in maybe her sleeping clothes? Which didn’t bother her, she walked around her apartment in less than that.

Not understanding what the hell she said, though maybe caffe was coffee? She holds the boxes up,
“Sorry to just drop by, I probably should have called huh?” the Nix looking slightly embarrassed.

“But I brought fresh coffee from my shop and some yummy pastries.” The other box held up. “If it’s a bad time, I can come back later.”

[Circe]

"Caffè. Evviva, ho sentito così tanto caffè," was the slurred response as she poked the box in bleary eyed confusion. And grumbled as it wasn't working, "Questa non è una tazza da caffè. Dove caffè? Keurig?" a hand then grabs Sera by the collar to drag her inside as a bare foot lashes out to, loudly, kick the door shut. The drowsy blue elf tries to drag the golden mermaid towards the kitchen, still mumbling random things in Italian.

Per some prior discussions with her housemate, there is currently a hatchet hanging on the wall in the living room. A plastic hatchet. With place holder written on it in market.

All Sera can do is blink. And blink as the foreign language continues.

Keurig! She knew that one! Didn’t like the coffee is produced, but she knew what that was.

Then before she knows it, Circe has her collar and is pulling her inside. With hands full of coffee and pastries, she has no choice to follow. In silence, she allows herself to be dragged into the kitchen.

But not before catching a glimpse of the hatchet. Which was a rather odd choice for decoration. But she wouldn’t question the Summer, who could kick her ass.

If they end up in the kitchen, “Uh, do you have some cups? Or did you want to drink it from the box?” she thought she was bad in the morning, Circe had her beat. “Hell, if you had a funnel could just pop that into your mouth and our it in.” she says with a laugh. Looking for a place to set the boxes down.

At the question drowsy red eyes looked at Seraphina. And a blue hand released her as she staggered over to the cupboards and began opening them, "Coppe? Tazza tazza tazza tazza tazza, Coppe!" Presenting a collection of coffee mugs, Circe grabbed two at random then paused.

She leaned forward towards Sera, her night shirt slipping on her shoulder a little more. "Seraphina? Perché dovrebbe essere qui? Sognare? Non non non. Il suo abbigliamento è troppo noioso." The mugs were available now to restore the caffiene consuming zombie into a gunbunny smurfette. It was something her room mate was used to dealing with .

Silently, she was thankful to be released. She liked the elf, but that made her a little uneasy. Unpleasant memories threatening to flood her mind.

As Circe got the cups and then leaned forward, the Nix instinctively leaned back and nod, “In the flesh!” she says with a flash of a smile and a sing song voice. Then came more words she didn’t understand, but spotting the mugs, she grabs them and quickly fills them. One was then placed in the Summer’s hands, “There you go, freshly made this morning!” if she had known Circe was like this in the morning, she would have made the coffee at home, the one John had given her, and brought that over.

Sera gently takes a sip of her own cup, watching Circe, waiting for there to be some words she could understand.

As her house mate would attest, Circe had more need for coffee then most Italians had for latte. It took a moment for her to register the heated ambrosia in her hands. Then she drank. And drank.


After a moment the cup was lowered as the drinker exhaled, "Ahhhh." Circe blinked as her red eyes went from narrowed with drowsiness to wide awake. "Better," she rolled her shoulders, "Morning Seraphina. Didn't expect ya but yer cafe delivers? Wow! Ya have more? And sweets?"


The Summer Queen held up the, now empty, coffee mug to emphasize her need for additional coffee. Why Seraphina was here could wait for a second cup.

She takes a sip of her own as she watches Circe with amusement.

And then finally, English! Progress!

“Morning! And no, it doesn’t deliver, but I do. I figured it would be rude to show up without some coffee.” She then grins, “I have a whole box, it holds about two pots worth, and pastries! Cause who doesn’t like something to eat with coffee.”

Seeing the cup held up, she puts her own down and fills the Summers empty mug. “There you go!”
She was about to ask her how she was when John walked in.

Smiling, “Hey stranger!” greeted the Nix, cause she hadn’t seen him in a while. “I have coffee and pastries from my coffee shop if you’re interested.”
