"Get Outta Here!" Fedora yells before hurling himself into a stunning display of flying fists aimed squarely at Kaze. It would have been beautiful to behold in slow motion: a series of strikes - not body blows - aimed at Kaze's sword arm and anticipating the effects of his shielding spells.
Luckily for the Obrimos, Fedora had the right technique but lacked the right timing. There was insufficient force behind the flurry of blows. This time.
During the fracas, the Mystery Woman completed her scrambling dive, rolled and attempted to run for her waiting car.
Like Fedora, she failed to get her timing right and found herself held up by the bumbling Coat Man.

No magic? All right. Kaze had it covered; the fellow's overextension would be his downfall.
Instead of acting directly in the fight, the commander of the Arrow turned his attention to the woman who was running for her car, imagining a powerful connection suddenly being made between them as he overcame the Lie of Space to create new bonds between them even as the area around him seemed to bend inward, as though trying to capture the Unchained.
The woman's dive could take her off. The car could run her away.
So be it.
Alastor could find her later.

The Word instantly becomes a deafening BOOM, and powerful force, pushing on all of the people immediately close to Kaze, forcing them to struggle to stand erect!

Using the extra success to contest the Knockdown rolls:
The Mage utters any brief word or syllable, which instantly becomes a deafening thunderclap. Anyone within the affected area, one-yard centered on the mage is subject to Knockdown effect: the must roll Dex+Athletics to remain on their feet. Characters knocked down to the ground loose their next action as they regain their footing. Dramatic Failure indicates that the victim takes a hard fall and suffers a point of bashing damage as well. The mage may use the spell's extra successes to contest the target's Knockdown rolls, or may use them to extend the area of effect, with each extra success doubling the area (2-yard radius with 2 successes, 4-yards with 3 successes and so on.) She must apply the choice to all targets though: her successes either make the sound louder or make it travel farther.
