The Safehouse was an abandoned shell of a building that stank of neglect and nihilism. It lay in an insignificant part of town that was slowly going through gentrification and development. So far the course of change had neglected the Safehouse, so it lay broken and abandoned in an overgrown space that once had been a yard. After the hot summer, the yard was all withered and cracked; brown stalks and shrunken vines clung tenaciously to the rusting fence.

In the murky darkness, Caroline the Plague Cat waited. The emaciated woman was feasting on a feral cat that had chanced upon her hiding place. Raw. It was a disgusting sight and the Plague Cat made no effort to hide the bloody mess.

I didn't want to presume that the Plague Cat had been hidden anywhere specific. So here is a neutral space.

Mable was wondering the yard of the safe house when she found Caroline eating a cat. Mable waited patiently while Caroline ate. Once she was done, Mable approached her, "Caroline, will you please come into the house with me?"

The giant followed Mable, and raised a brow upon the grisly discovery. He had done similar in the past in order to survive. He just preferred she had been neat about it. "I'll have to bury that one deep. Don't need other critters pawing around for the remains."

Caroline the Plague Cat mewed as she finished off her grizzly meal. She left the tattered carcass where it fell and joined the Kindred in the safe house without bothering to clean her hands. Once she was inside, she slipped to walking on all fours again and began to rub herself against a door frame in an incredibly cat-like fashion.

"Caroline," Mable reached out a hand to scratch the 'cat' on her head. "Let me help you get the blood off of you, okay? Then I could give you a tummy rub if you would like." Mable figured if she said she was a cat and acted as one she would treat her as one.

"John? are you in here?" Mable knew he had headed over here after the arcade but hadn't seen him yet. John Davis

Davis arrives at the safe house to find Mable cleaning and escorting the creature back into the house. What in Biloxi's name! Why call it a safe house if the thing you are trying to keep safe or keep the rest of the city safe from can just get out and wander about on its own. Cat! Appropriate name, like a cat it does as it pleases and can find ways in and out of tight spaces. Perhaps we should get it a box. If it fits it sits, isn't that what they say nowadays?

"No jokes intended Mable, but who let the cat out?"

Krieg shrugged to Davis. The Hierophant was more interested in keeping an eye on Caroline. Whatever she was, it was worth finding out.

"I got back here and found her in the yard. She is a right mess, aren't you sweet heart." Mable cooed to Caroline. "And I think the song is who let the dogs out." Mable giggled.

Davis didn't get the dawg reference. "That well as may be but we can not have her running loose," Davis emphasized with positivity. Davis did not want either kindred to think him scolding them. A hex was a curse he did not want to have to deal with at the moment.

"I am old enough to know the errors of shackled and chained domestication and not one to quickly return to those practices. Is there some way we can secure the Cat without returning her to the state in which we found her? Perhaps a more secure facility? One less open and easily accessible to wandering off?"

The Plague Cat accepted the 'pat' with a smirking a purr.

While the Kindred gathered, Caroline shifted into a crouch and began to rock, gently, and mutter to herself in quiet argument.

"None chain us! Not now. Remember that dead living."

Her movements stopped sharply. Her face took an a steely aspect. Eyes burned from under a cascade of matted hair.
