Davis smiled. His plan to lure the hunter out had worked. Someone else would likely take the credit of course. But he had a safe builder. Hopefully, one that would stay alive long enough to finish the job.
HA HA HA HA! Davis didn't betray an inch of fear. That wasn't him laughing. It wasn't anyone present. It is just a coyote in the distance. He dismissed it away.
