Mein: Rhodes has pale whitish skin, elfin ears and deep, overly large emerald eyes. Thin black veins broach the surface of his skin like the roots of a tree emerging from the ground. Dark, broad leaves sprout from his wrists, ankles and temples, spreading around the back of his head. Deep red flowers bloom at the temples and wrists.

Mantle: A breath of icy wind, the kind that penetrates and sends a chill down the spine. Ash leaves in red, yellow and gold spin into existance around him, caught on the breeze. As the wind blows, unnerving whispers can be heard, always coming from a direction just out of one's field of vision.

Rhodes takes the steps up the carousel quickly and positions himself at the horse alongside Blink's. He drops side-saddle onto his charger, facing Blink on her own steed and clinging nonchalantly to the pole with one hand.

"So!" he says jovially. "Dreams. Becoming a Dream-weaver. Hopefully it won't just be the two of us, but what would you like to know?"

"Dreams. They're what...dreams are made of?" Peter said in a playful tone. "How much experience do either of you have with dreams? I know I've only barely touched on the subject." Peter never claim to be an expert, that's how he felt. Even with lying he would never claim to be an expert, always learning and improving.

"Anything and everything." Blink responded to Rhodes. "And absolutely zilch," she promptly responds to Peter. Blink glanced between them for a moment. "I enjoy a good fight and an additional battlefield is always welcomed."

Blink gave a shrug. "Just not really familiar with any of that jazz."

"Like have you all ever been in a fight, inside a dream?" There was a tinge of excitement to her voice, and body language, as she leaned forward in anticipation. "Could you tell me about that?"

Rhodes smiles, but it doesn't reach his eyes. "Like going in at the deep end, don't you Blink? I did fight in a dream, once. I was in a nightmare, trying to help another Autumn - well. I was assisting the one doing most of the help, learning the basics. Some of the creatures in the dream attacked me. Fortunately, within a dream, your physical skill matters slightly less." He smiles, a little more genuinely. "Dream-fighting, or Onieromachy, is some of the more advanced dream techniques. You can act in a dream much like you do in life - you can fist-fight, or have a shoot-out... but... with practice, you can bend the environment to help you, Wall-running, magical blasts, summoning dream-beasts to attack your enemies.... Quite literally, the only limit is your imagination."

The Fairest looks at the other changelings. "Fighting is just one facet. Working in dreams can help people face fears, even help learn new skills. but it's a delicate process. Dreams... have their own strength. You know how you have vivid, real dreams or fuzzy, indistinct dreams? That shows how strong the dream is. The stronger it is, the harder it is to alter. Bend a dream too much and it breaks, and you wake the dreamer. Shaping and altering dreams is an art form unto itself." Rhodes smiles, as if amused by some private thought.

Peter listened to Rhodes' lengthy description of dream combat and then turned to Blink. "Think the movie Inception. You know, without all the 'we gotta go deeper'. If you can dream it, you can probably do it. But of course fighting with your hands and fighting with your mind require a different set of skills." The movie had a far too real aspect feel for Peter. He always feared that what he was experiencing was merely an illusion or a dream. That his ideas and beliefs were merely implanted within him. Could one even trust what they could touch or feel? Peter knew far too well you couldn't. Never trust. Never believe. Nothing was ever truly real or true.

"Are you skilled in regular old fighting?" he asked Blink. Rhodes had already indicated his lack of skills.

"Hmm." Blink said as she slowly nodded along with what Rhodes was saying. While initially, she wasn't concerned with much outside of fighting, the other aspects did spark interest. Her attention shifted to Peter, as he brought additional clarity.

Peter's question drew a "Yes," from Blink. "I'd give the best of the Freehold a run for their money." She said as if it were a matter of fact, though it seemed like it was a strange contradiction with how tiny and frail she looked.

"So, like..." Blink paused for a moment, trying to figure out a good way to say it. She figured it was best to just keep it simple. "Like...How would we train? Could we train?"

Rhodes arches an eyebrow. "Feisty," he says drily, a smile touching his lips.

"Sure, you can train." the Flowering says. "Depends on what you want to do. For self-training, learn to meditate. Don't underestimate the power of your own lucid dreaming. Though it can be draining, it's worth it to see what you can accomplish. Consider that the tutorial level of oneiromancy. For anything outside your own head, you need to be in the Hedge to do it. It... connects you better to dreams. Something about the nature of the Hedge. You can swear a pledge to allow a Changeling access to dreams, to watch for dangers. If you aren't pledged, it can still be done, but is much harder. But the techniques learned within are the same if someone invades your dreams our you are moving through the dreams of others."

Rhodes does a brief double-take at his wrist holding the pole. He plucks a browning leaf from one of the branches broaching his skin and twists it off, discarding it. "The most important thing about dreams is they are a place the Fae use. A skilled oneiropomp can read the omens in dreams to spot those kind of threats, or other prophecies, long before they arrive. That's the true purpose, and meaning of, Oneiromancy. But there are a lot of other uses. I'd be keen to train with you, or anyone wanting to learn some skills. If this Freehold Hollow kicks off, that would be a great place to practice if several people are interested."

From the outside Rhodes and Peter would appear to be a terrible match. One was a man who seemed to see every breath in a conversation as an opportunity to expel countless words into the ether. The other was a man who used what little words he said to tell very little. But to Peter, Rhodes was a perfect fit. He was like the perfect sun to Peter's shadow. There was no need to interrupt the Autumn, because he was doing exactly what he was born to do. Talk. "Couldn't have said it better myself," Peter said playfully.

He did add one thing for Blink though. "Just know there are several ways to fight in a dream. You don't have to fight with the environment if you aren't skilled like that. Training your muscles can be just as effective for some as training your mind or emotions."

A part of Peter hesitated at the idea of sharing dreams with others. There was always the possibility of his demons escaping and revealing who he truly was. He had seen his dreamscape for himself and it was a dark nightmarish place where truth and lies collide in a cascade of conflict and contradictions. Could he open himself up to others if he knew the darkness? Was it worth the risk? "I'd be interested in doing some dream training. I think it could be a lot of fun." It would seem Peter dared to hope for once.

Blink beamed brightly. "That sounds awesome..."

"So if we get up to do this together, we would have to play around in something like my dream?" Blink bit her lip for a moment.

"Like if we get up to practice a bit, how would we go about all that?" Blink didn't really care if others ran around destroying stuff in her dreams.
