(PrP) A Lord's Danse

The evening had arrived. The evening in which one Gerald 'Twice-Dead' Baker's invitation described. A party in the new Prince's honor at Lefford Hall, issued with all the good manners of an ultimatum. From a Carthian with an apparent bone to pick with Sacramento's Invictus-heavy Domain.

It doesn't look like the place for a party.

The hall itself, from the street, remains mostly hidden behind trees, hedges and wrought iron fencing - which stretches across the entire plot some two hundred feet wide. What little can be seen is covered in tall, tinted glass windows from floor to ceiling. A very contemporary looking building to be hidden behind so much foliage.

The plot itself is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, separating the hall itself from most foot and car traffic. Parking spots exist on either ends of the cul-de-sac, consisting of plain concrete slabs contained within similar, if shorter, iron fencing. While looking well maintained, the parking spots are vacant. Curious, considering the invitation specifically outlined this date.

Nothing can be heard except the chirping of crickets and distant sounds of car traffic. A man in a dark grey suit, radiating no Beast, stands quietly in front of the main gate. Hands clasped behind his back. A greeter, perhaps? Certainly not this Gerald Baker. Granted, only the Prince had ever laid eyes on the man. Apparently. And this had been years ago. If this man is Baker, he's making things easy for the esteemed guest - and her plus three.

[Izayoi Goto]

Amaterasu Ōmikami turns her gaze, and as ever and always Tsukiyomi-no-mikoto chases after her, the steps known and watched by everyone since time immemorial are bared by those damned to never feel Amaterasu Ōmikami's radiance.

Though there is one Danse that is not bared to those that sup upon the blood of the living, an invitation has been sent, and Izayoi is grateful to have been invited along with such august company.

Like a considerate guest, Izayoi attempted to learn what she could about their host, and the location of the...event. Sadly, her contacts couldn't locate any whispers for her, concerning either, and her personal skills with what was simply called 'googling' was beyond her ken. She Attempted it, but found links to locations outside of Sacramento, while simultaneously finding things that confused her, while fascinating her at the same time.

Waiting for the others, Izayoi stands still as any statue, hidden within the shadows.

[Twist]

As discussed, Twist skipped coming to the location to investigate herself, but had instead hired a mortal to poke around and report back. The results of the investigation were folded and tucked away as she approached the gathering point.

As for her attire, it was not quite the party attire. But tonight she was Hound for Ale and her outfit reflected such. Dark pants, boots, and reinforced tank top hidden under a jacket.

Her dark hair was braided back into a loose plait and she could feel with every shift the small pressures of her knives scattered about her person.

Equipment: Hidden standard & throwing knives. Silent phone. Armored tank top (rating 1/2 I would guess?)

It was difficult for Takeda not to smile as she approached the others, the Killer's gleam shining brightly in her eyes. Finally.

Finally.

Tonight, there would be a chance to test her blades, and she had brought both. They rode on her hip, hidden beneath the cloak of shadows that came from the eons of shadows and charnel pits that rode in her blood. She was dressed in the traditional garb of her ancestors, a black kimono and green hakama, a jade netsuke sitting beside her daisho. Tonight was a night to kill and she couldn't wait for it to begin.

The Savage was a little behind. Part of that was her deciding if she was going to bring her guns or not. They were a part of her, an extension of her very being, and to not have them resting snuggly at her side was throwing her off.

But she didn’t need them, her understanding of Protean powerful enough that her Claws would be the only weapons she would need. And if this guy knew her, then he would be expecting her to come with her guns, why not throw him off a bit?

She was dressed, as usual, in black. Leather pants, black tank top and black leather jacket. Her long dark hair was braided and steel toed boots were on her feet.

Her Beast roared in her ear as the weaker Beasts were felt. Oh how easy it would be to allow her Claws to extend and rend the flesh of each.

Not tonight. There were more important Kindred to flay.

A hand was raised as she drew closer.

“We ready for this?”

Izayoi freezes as the Sakki joins the thrashing of the Beast within, she nearly curls up within herself as the Savage's monstrous presence harelds the Painted Prince's arrival. Mastering herself and ignoring the rising tides of Jigoku, Izayoi steps out of the shadows she's hidden herself in.

"Regrettably I have not been able to retrieve any pertinent information on the topic of our location, nor of our host."

[Twist]

Her Beast slammed against the iron bars of control, a sensation of teeth and claws howling for blood and death. The bars were strong through and instead of rending flesh from bone, Twist lowered her head in a masquerade safe gesture of deference to Ale's arrival.

Takeda recieved a smaller nod herself and finally a smile of greeting to Izayoi.

Pulling out the schematics, she offered them up to the group.

"We will not be entirely blind. The suggestion to hire someone was good."

[Takeda Katsumi]

"As always, your majesty, at your will I serve", Takeda replied with a deep bow.

However, when she rose, she continued to speak, a most intriguing request upon her tongue.

"If it pleases your Majesty, however, I have a request: should you find my performance tonight to be acceptable, please consider granting me permission to create a mutual, though minor bond to another through the Vinculum."

Despite what it might appear, this was not an ill-timed request. The pressure of the coming conflict would hopefully encourage the Prince's decision.

There was a moment of internal struggle as her Beast struggles against its chains.

A nod was offered to Izayoi as she appeared.

“Thank you for trying.” If they had to go in blind, there was no other Kindred she would want by her side.

Ale returns the bow of her head at Twist. She may have the title of Prince, but she still respected Twist and what she had done for the Domain.

As the schematics were offered, the Savage will lean forward to take a look. So they wouldn’t be as blind as she first thought. Now if that worked in their benefit remained to be seen.

There was a twinkle in her eye and a smirk as her eyes return to Twist. “This is very helpful, thank you.” And it just reminded Ale that she really needed to invest in a Ghoul to help with leg work.

But what Takeda asked caused pause. Did she really just as to form a bond with another Kindred? This was a first, though she suspected that other Princes had heard similar questions. Or not. Maybe it spoke volumes of Takedas character to ask permission over just doing it.

Either way, it was intriguing.

“An interesting request.” She begins, “One I’m willing to discuss with you further after tonight in my office.” She wasn’t saying no, but wasn’t saying yes either. She wanted more information before she agreed.
