The basement is found at the bottom of the stair well. It is big and expansive, incorporating a space for a laundry as well as a generator.

The generator is very modern and very well maintained. It is droning away merrily, the beating heart of the house's electricity grid.

That was easy. It unnerved the Mastigos, at the lack of adversity, but like Aurora said, they might have already tripped something, sending out a silent alarm to the authorities.

Putting the thought to the back of her mind, Lacuna studies the genny. Before reaching for magic and mana (which she's running on fumes anyway) she wants to know if there's a simply solution. Like an off switch.

And then there was light.

Or rather, the light came to an end. The penny guttered and chugged to a gurgling half.

Shadows reigned in the dim basement, lit from a few small windows at ground level.

Basements were never her thing. They just creeped her out, she didn't know why, but it was a thing.

So she stayed as close to the stairs as she could, while still keeping Lacuna within her sight. Cause you never know.

Lacuna gives a ghost of a self satisfied grin. This just proves it, she was thinking too much with her Might and nothing of everything else.

In the dark of the house, Lacuna retraces their steps, heading up the stairs. She snorts a little ruefully as she realizes she has no idea of the house's lay out and needs to know, so they can complete their objective and go.

Weaving a golden glyph of imprecise improvised lines, Lacuna calls upon Space to lay a map before her eyes.
